The Little Creek Retreat is conveniently located 1km north of Lithgow town centre at the end of the road nestled at the bottom of the valley near a pretty little creek. It sits next to the heritage state mine which you may view and have tours on the weekend. We have 1 cozy site with outdoor seating and cooking area fire pit for up to 6 people. Feel free to pet our miniature goats. They are very friendly. Please ask before feeding them! Camping toilets are available for use. Local kangaroos sometimes drop by. Plenty of wildlife with kookaburras, parrots, currawongs and even a shy wombat. Mini goats are sometimes on the property as well. There are many amazing local bush walks and plenty of fascinating history and things to do. Space for 3 cars, tent, caravan or trailer 10m x 4m wide clear flat area with easy access next to outdoor seating. 2 minute drive to cafes and shops and town centre, bus stop is 100m, train station 800m. We are conveniently close to town. Lithgow tourism centre has plenty of information and activities to do. There are scenic lookouts, climbing, canyoning, bike trails or simply relax with great eateries and historical sites. Cooking fires are permitted when there are no RFS bans in place. Note: You will need to completely extinguish your fire before you depart. You may collect water from the creek. It is ok to collect fallen kindling, no chain sawing of trees. Wood is provided free of charge for small fires only. If you use the kindling please play if forward and collect for the next person. If you need more wood simply message me. There is a camping toilet with toilet paper and hand sanitizer supplied. Well behaved pets are welcome and we encourage you to keep your dog on a lead if they are likely to adventure too far from your site and disturb the local wildlife or other campers. No cats as there are many native birds. Please take all your belongings and rubbish with you when you leave. If you are interested in free accommodation, we are open to exchange labour as they is always plenty to do on the farm.

Fabulous location and hosts. Had the river frontage all to ourselves. Indulged in the breakfast pack, Angela makes the best baked beans and bread. Tarana markets were on the Sunday, great atmosphere and local produce. Wildlife in abundance. Just a great getaway, looking forward to coming back. Thanks Angela and Tony for hosting.

Hawkesbury Hideaway was a very peaceful place to stay the night. Even though there were a few other campers there it was very pleasant by the river and everyone was very respectful of all the other campers. I will definitely be back.

We had one night here with extended check out (so two full days) and luckily had the place to ourselves. I accidentally booked a powered site but think we ended up on site #3? (unpowered). It was next to boat ramp and we swam and hung out in shade. The toilet and shower were clean (took a while to find it near trampoline close to the house). Toni was great to deal with online and John gave us a friendly welcome.

Such a convenient spot for some amazing walks and POi…. great little set up areas with toilets at each spot. Basic but all you need, perfect for my little van, had a fire, a bbq… great night Geoff was a hive of knowledge… if we went to all Gis paces of recommendation we would have had to stay there a month🤣😂😂

We had a great stay! Toni was easy to communicate with and very helpful. The property was beautiful, great location right next to the river. Lots of space, clean and we were able to hire a fire pit for the evening which was amazing.
