Beautiful property, nestled in the Colo Valley, next to the pristine Colo River. We have cleared grassy paddocks, some shady areas, and access to the Colo River, one of the most pristine rivers in NSW.
Our river access is normally shallow, well-suited to young families or those who just want to lay back and enjoy a refreshing dip. Amazing sunrises, sunsets, and stargazing are provided free of charge along with bird watching, local wildlife, and horses in surrounding paddocks.
We offer limited sites to comply with NSW Camping legislation and Hipcamp guidelines and to enable campers to experience the Colo as it should be, listening to the beautiful wildlife and really appreciating the outdoors. Sites are large with varying distance between each to enable you to enjoy the camping experience in your own space.
Both paddock sites and limited river spots are available. If planning to stay with friends and you wish to share a site only 1 booking is required, the sites are large, some up to 30m x 30m.
IMPORTANT: Pets are allowed on a case-by-case basis, with conditions, and a $20 fee applies. Please check with Hosts before booking. Once approved, please add the Pets Extra when booking.

There is no mobile reception or internet access, therefore, providing a true off-grid retreat. Self-sufficient campers are preferred.
There are fire drums available on each site, most with grill plates - subject to RFS bush fire danger ratings on the day.
There are three communal flushing toilets and two awesome hot water showers!
ALL waste is to leave with you!
There are local bush walks through National Parks and great places for mountain bike riding although be mindful of holiday traffic in peak times on our local dirt roads.
The local shop, Colo Riverside is open 4 days a week Thurs-Sun, just 10kms up the road providing last-minute supplies, ice, bottle shop, and cafe services.
Please note: Due to our location bookings may be canceled at short notice in times of bad weather due to flooding, limited access, fire or flood warnings. We trust you will understand we are only looking out for your safety and of course, Hipcamp credits will be arranged.

There are a few great campsites to choose from- all 2WD accessible. 1 at the top of the property (good for families/large groups up to approx 20) with good flat ground and surrounded by a lush forest. It's close to the quiet country road so it is easy access in and out, another 2 at the back with water views and 1 in the forest (Only if you have 4wd and portable loo we can give you an exclusive spot in the bottom of the golden gorge). Sit back and relax around the campfire whilst toasting a marshmallow or some damper.
This campsite offers a unique heptagonal toilet (no shower yet but its on the way). Please ensure you're fully self sufficient with all other supplies (including water).
From here you can explore the amazing Blue Mountain views, marvel at a magical glow worm dell, check out the 2 apple cider breweries or gin distillery and taste some of the region's delicious produce.
Colo River is 30 mins away, a clear waterhole is 10 min drive (4wd only- hosts can transport if available), the mouth of a hiking trail to the National Park is on the property, the main township of Bilpin is close by with the baker, fruit and veggie picking, Mountain Bells Cafe (host recommendation), apple pies galore and Melange restaurant , the markets are on Saturday morning 10-12 noon at the local hall and there is a free meditation group 9am Sunday at the monastery.
With so much to do you will need more than one night or plan a return visit to the amazing Mountain Lagoon Hideaway at Bilpin!
We can also offer massage and reiki treatments on site as a 'nature immersion' experience or if you prefer it can be in the privacy of a massage studio (10 mins away), guided nature and wildlife walks/sunset walks or longer hikes, professional ecology tours, fire twirling lessons or performance and African drumming lessons, games for the kids, local produce hampers, eggs and BBQS (with notice and if hosts are available). Welcome! Lovely to see you here. Our property is located in Arcadia, just 45 minutes from Sydney CBD. The campsite is located on the high side of the property that looks over into the valley & has stunning views of the Berowra National Park.
There is a multitude of walking, hiking and mountain bike trails. There are also many nearby horse riding trails. The property backs on to Calabash Creek which is like a rain Forrest once you get down to the valley floor.
Berowra waters is near by, whereby many fishing, canoeing, boating activities are available, coupled with some great cafes/restaurants.
Campfires are allowed as long as there are no restrictions in place and they are supervised. Pets are welcome and can be off leash, however are the responsibility of their human parents.

This property is a Pristine Riverfront property in Colo Valley. It is a tidal river with sandy shallow sandbars and 10ft deep swimming holes. There is an abundance of native animals here including bandicoots,kangaroos, lyre birds, lace monitors, platypus and more! Access is via a short dirt driveway to the riverfront camping area. The access is 2wd unless there has been significant rain it becomes 4wd access.
We accommodate the larger groups
just steps away from the river. We have 2 water entrances, one is a large grassed area with
shallow water which is great for kids & families. The other entrance is a natural sandy entry with a deeper swimming area .
We also have a beautiful lagoon area where I can arrange additional campers.
We have built some new flushing toilets (3) with a hot water shower.
We are very accommodating of your pets. We welcome dogs and can host horses in one of the paddocks. Please ensure you contact the host prior to your stay if you are bringing any pets

Located at Bilpin, this beautiful campsite is nestled at the foot of the majestic Blue Mountains and backs onto Wollemi National Park. This magical 16 acres is abundant with wildlife & where you camp is the mouth to the beginning of some great hiking tracks in the National Park! :)
There are a few great campsites to choose from- all 2WD accessible. 1 at the top of the property (good for families/large groups up to approx 20) with good flat ground and surrounded by a lush forest. It's close to the quiet country road so it is easy access in and out, another 2 at the back with water views and 1 in the forest (Only if you have 4wd and portable loo we can give you an exclusive spot in the bottom of the golden gorge). Sit back and relax around the campfire whilst toasting a marshmallow or some damper.
This campsite offers a unique heptagonal toilet (no shower yet but its on the way). Please ensure you're fully self sufficient with all other supplies (including water).
From here you can explore the amazing Blue Mountain views, marvel at a magical glow worm dell, check out the 2 apple cider breweries or gin distillery and taste some of the region's delicious produce.
Colo River is 30 mins away, a clear waterhole is 10 min drive (4wd only- hosts can transport if available), the mouth of a hiking trail to the National Park is on the property, the main township of Bilpin is close by with the baker, fruit and veggie picking, Mountain Bells Cafe (host recommendation), apple pies galore and Melange restaurant , the markets are on Saturday morning 10-12 noon at the local hall and there is a free meditation group 9am Sunday at the monastery.
With so much to do you will need more than one night or plan a return visit to the amazing Mountain Lagoon Hideaway at Bilpin!
We can also offer massage and reiki treatments on site as a 'nature immersion' experience or if you prefer it can be in the privacy of a massage studio (10 mins away), guided nature and wildlife walks/sunset walks or longer hikes, professional ecology tours, fire twirling lessons or performance and African drumming lessons, games for the kids, local produce hampers, eggs and BBQS (with notice and if hosts are available). Kenzell Farm is a 250 acre working cattle farm, just 10-minutes from Jenolan Caves and 20 minutes from Oberon. We have a breeding program in miniature Highland cattle and miniature goats.

Welcome! Lovely to see you here. Our property is located in Arcadia, just 45 minutes from Sydney CBD. The campsite is located on the high side of the property that looks over into the valley & has stunning views of the Berowra National Park.
There is a multitude of walking, hiking and mountain bike trails. There are also many nearby horse riding trails. The property backs on to Calabash Creek which is like a rain Forrest once you get down to the valley floor.
Berowra waters is near by, whereby many fishing, canoeing, boating activities are available, coupled with some great cafes/restaurants.
Campfires are allowed as long as there are no restrictions in place and they are supervised. Pets are welcome and can be off leash, however are the responsibility of their human parents.
The property has ample room to accommodate larger groups that might want to hold milestone celebrations such as Birthday parties, whereby all sites will be closed to accommodate such events. Recently Calabash Haven hosted a party of 50 people for 50th Bday celebration. Feel free to inquire to see if we can accommodate your needs.

Collets place was easy to find ! Jon was amazing with answering questions we were not sure about and bringing food for our children to feed the animals! The kids had a blast so much space for them to ride their bikes ! So mum and dad where happy! Also close to scenic world which was an added plus for us!! I like the location, by the river and close to mountains if you want to hike. We did hike during sunrise and sunset, it was great. I absolutely favour the flush toilet and hot shower, plus bins are available.
Communication is great. They give clear instructions and directions before our stay.
I highly recommends this place and wouldn’t mind going back.

We pulled up late, about 2100. Everyone was quiet and we were able to quietly set up and go to sleep with no issues. We had bugged out of a national park where there were some inconsiderate loud campers so some quiet was a welcome change. Toilets and showers smelled, but were overall clean enough, but remember to bring some sandals or thongs. Potable water and electricity available for the caravans, and we were able to fill up our water tanks.

Campsite 1, The Cattle Yards, was a little tricky to find at first — the Google Maps directions and listing description could definitely use some tidying up. But once we arrived, it was absolutely worth it! The campsite was very clean, peaceful, and surrounded by stunning views. We even had a few friendly visitors — some cows and two camels. One of them looked so sleepy that we ended up naming him Gerald, which gave us a good laugh every morning.
It does get very cold at night, so definitely pack plenty of blankets and layers. There’s little to no phone signal in the area, which turned out to be a bonus since it made for a perfect off-grid escape for a few days. Someone had accidentally taken our reserved spot, but we set up elsewhere without any issues, and no one seemed to mind.
Overall, it was a beautiful, quiet stay — a bit of an adventure getting there, but once you do, it’s a truly special place. Thank you for having us!

This is honestly the most private camping I’ve ever experienced. If you’ve got a 4WD and want to feel completely tucked away and on your own, without actually being hours from the city, this place is perfect.
The check-in process was one of a kind. Debbie had an individual info pack ready with our name on it and a camper-specific map, which made finding the site super easy. Toilets, tracks, sites – everything was clearly marked on paper that you just take with you. Not having someone escort you in actually added to the feeling of freedom, it really felt like we were just driving in and camping on our own land.
Once you’re at camp it honestly feels like no one else is around. It’s the best place I’ve stayed for peace, isolation and privacy, and I’ll 100% be coming back with more friends and family.
Debbie’s communication was quick and clear the whole way through, and we knew we could call her anytime if we needed anything.
If you like total isolation and your own space, this place is for you.

We were a bit disappointed that there was no water/dam to swim in as photos indicate but we found somewhere not too far away (driving) to swim. Host communicated well and was accommodating, even though they were away while we were there. Overall a good place to stay.

Wow !! What an incredible camp site.
On arrival we were greeted by the cutest sausage dogs.
The Beach site has so much space to set up camp and such easy access to walk down to the river for a swim. It had a big sandy spot which was great for our young kids.
Vanessa and her family are so lovely and it was awesome to see the horses come down to the river for a splash and a drink.
Can’t wait to book again
