Oz Sky Ranch is set on 350+ acres in the beautiful Gold Coast Hinterland, just outside of Brisbane at the bottom of Mount Tambourine near Canungra. We cater to adventurous souls, with a range of adventure tourism activities in and around our property. Try tandem hang-gliding and paragliding and a full range of hang gliding and paragliding courses or just bring your own stand-up paddleboards and kayaks. Our lake is lovely and clean and is great to swim in.
We opened up our working cattle and turf farm to promote Hang gliding and paragliding, we believe the more people see it, then the more people may like to come for a tandem flight or learn to fly with us. You can buy a friend or loved one a gift of a life time. Tandem hang gliding gift vouchers are very popular, as you get to take off from the property and flyover you’re campsite and then up to 2500ft. Then come and land right next to your friends and family at the Oz Sky Ranch.
We pride ourselves on keeping the property lovely and clean. We are also opening our home and farm to you. So please respect it and enjoy it as we do.
We have 5 designated campsites positioned around the property. Within the designated sites, there are camp spots that we rotate.
Please check with us to see what ones are open. We need to rotate the sites and rest them. This is how we keep them well-maintained and looking amazing. If it is wet weather we will close down sites and recommend other spots.
We pride our self’s on having a lovely property and want you to have an amazing camping experience.
If it is bad weather, we will recommend another site or you can change dates.
Campfires are allowed at designated camp spots when fire bans aren't in place. Firewood is available to purchase .
We have a no dog policy
No smoking is allowed on the property, vaping is fine at your own campsite. No glass Policy, bring cans plastic glasses to drink out off.
We do have a lot of rule, they are in place to give you a Beautiful environment to Camp in and To look after our Animals and farm.
We accept groups however we have strict rules around this, so please discuss with us first.
If you are up early in the morning you may be lucky enough to see the best in QLD barefoot water skiers training on the lake and also tandem hang gliders getting towed up from the airstrip.
All campers must check in before dark and call me before entering.

Heaps of rides just out the gate though through forestry tracks. (turn left out of the grounds, then left again onto Priddy Rd, cross Tin Can Bay Rd and ride for miles into the forestry) Ask any questions , we are fellow horse people afterall :)

We are a dog-friendly park so the whole family is welcome. Dogs need to be controlled at all times and cleaned up after. No aggressive dogs please.
Campfires are permitted in designated fire pits only and may be subject to fire bans. Firewood and ice are available for purchase (cash preferred).
Recycling bins are provided, otherwise campers are required to take their rubbish with them. Wi-Fi and Telstra coverage are available.
Rainforest Gateway is located approximately 8klms along Grady's Creek Road, just 20 klms north of Kyogle and 15 klms from the Queensland border on the popular scenic tourist route, Lions Road. Kyogle is a bustling town with an IGA supermarket, MTB riding tracks, lovely gift shops, cinema, bowling alley, and a selection of dining outlets. For those wanting to immerse themselves in nature, the Border Ranges National Park is a short drive away.
Please note Lions Road is temporarily closed for road repairs and expected to be reopened late January 2026. We can still be reached on Gradys Creek Road off Summerland Way, ignore Google maps if it directs you to Lynches Creek Rd.

Oz Sky Ranch is set on 350+ acres in the beautiful Gold Coast Hinterland, just outside of Brisbane at the bottom of Mount Tambourine near Canungra. We cater to adventurous souls, with a range of adventure tourism activities in and around our property. Try tandem hang-gliding and paragliding and a full range of hang gliding and paragliding courses or just bring your own stand-up paddleboards and kayaks. Our lake is lovely and clean and is great to swim in.
We opened up our working cattle and turf farm to promote Hang gliding and paragliding, we believe the more people see it, then the more people may like to come for a tandem flight or learn to fly with us. You can buy a friend or loved one a gift of a life time. Tandem hang gliding gift vouchers are very popular, as you get to take off from the property and flyover you’re campsite and then up to 2500ft. Then come and land right next to your friends and family at the Oz Sky Ranch.
We pride ourselves on keeping the property lovely and clean. We are also opening our home and farm to you. So please respect it and enjoy it as we do.
We have 5 designated campsites positioned around the property. Within the designated sites, there are camp spots that we rotate.
Please check with us to see what ones are open. We need to rotate the sites and rest them. This is how we keep them well-maintained and looking amazing. If it is wet weather we will close down sites and recommend other spots.
We pride our self’s on having a lovely property and want you to have an amazing camping experience.
If it is bad weather, we will recommend another site or you can change dates.
Campfires are allowed at designated camp spots when fire bans aren't in place. Firewood is available to purchase .
We have a no dog policy
No smoking is allowed on the property, vaping is fine at your own campsite. No glass Policy, bring cans plastic glasses to drink out off.
We do have a lot of rule, they are in place to give you a Beautiful environment to Camp in and To look after our Animals and farm.
We accept groups however we have strict rules around this, so please discuss with us first.
If you are up early in the morning you may be lucky enough to see the best in QLD barefoot water skiers training on the lake and also tandem hang gliders getting towed up from the airstrip.
All campers must check in before dark and call me before entering.

All campers have access the the amenities blocks (hot showers and flushing toilets!), located a couple of hundred metres from camp, depending where you set up, as well as a dump point for those who are self-contained.

Pets are welcome but must be kept on a lead - we have many horses around!

Unfortunately Hipcamp Insurance no longer covers horse riding, so no riding on the grounds unless you are a member of another pony club, Equestrian Australia or have your own private insurance. Heaps of rides just out the gate though through forestry tracks. (turn left out of the grounds, then left again onto Priddy Rd, cross Tin Can Bay Rd and ride for miles into the forestry) Ask any questions , we are fellow horse people afterall :)

We are a dog-friendly park so the whole family is welcome. Dogs need to be controlled at all times and cleaned up after. No aggressive dogs please.
Campfires are permitted in designated fire pits only and may be subject to fire bans. Firewood and ice are available for purchase (cash preferred).
Recycling bins are provided, otherwise campers are required to take their rubbish with them. Wi-Fi and Telstra coverage are available.
Rainforest Gateway is located approximately 8klms along Grady's Creek Road, just 20 klms north of Kyogle and 15 klms from the Queensland border on the popular scenic tourist route, Lions Road. Kyogle is a bustling town with an IGA supermarket, MTB riding tracks, lovely gift shops, cinema, bowling alley, and a selection of dining outlets. For those wanting to immerse themselves in nature, the Border Ranges National Park is a short drive away.
Please note Lions Road is temporarily closed for road repairs and expected to be reopened late January 2026. We can still be reached on Gradys Creek Road off Summerland Way, ignore Google maps if it directs you to Lynches Creek Rd.

The most exciting part is, you could get lucky and see a Koala sitting in a gumtree beside your vehicle. We stayed on the hilltop site as we were trialling our off grid set up for 2 nights and wanted to be close to power if we needed it (which we didn’t need in the end thankfully). For other campers that stay there, just be aware that the power outlets are only 10amp, so you will need an adapter if you want to plug into power.
The cows came and said hello to us as we were driving up the hill and escorted us half way up, which was very nice to see. We had to engage 4wd to get up the hill towing the van as there were a few loose rocks on the track, but no bother at all.
The view back towards the east was fantastic to sit on our chairs and take that in. We used the fireplace the first night we were there which was nice and relaxing as well. There was even a bunny rabbit in the herb garden that said hello to us as it scurried away to take shelter.
We went and had a look at the creek and orchard campsites, which are unpowered. The creek site was a very nice site with a couple of fire pits and a track that took you down to the crystal clear waters of the creek (which was quite cold, too cold for a dip). The orchard site has a few spots with fire pits and it didn’t appear to be easy to get to the creek below if you wanted to.
Overall though, a fantastic and relaxing stay and just what we needed.

The Creek at 100 Acre Estate was just idyllic. The site is beautiful and flat, and overlooks the crystal clear creek that you can hear babbling away. It is so private, so quiet, and the property is stunning and easy to find. We were even visited by a wallaby one morning. We also wandered down to the orchard which our little boys loved running through and looking at all the different trees. John and Tenille have a beautiful property and we feel lucky to have been able to stay on it.

I always enjoy staying here. Its a beautiful spot which is usually pretty quiet. Good facilities although the shower drain was blocked with hair this time which flooded the shower. I had to unblock it myself. Otherwise its a great place to stay.

Good campings for a little bit noisy but that's fine there was three kayaks there so that was good the only thing is couldn't find any firewood and I didn't want to pay for firewood if I couldn't bring my own firewood onto the property

We loved our stay at Tully Mountain View’s- sadly the weather was not on our side and we had to cut our stay short. The location of Dam site one was beautiful- private, clean, and a gorgeous outlook over the dam. We got a little break in the weather and enjoyed the fire pit on the edge of the Dam. Sheree was a lovely host and we look forward to staying again at the lovely campsite

We loved camping here. Ben is super responsive to messages and gave us a friendly greeting upon arrival. Showers are nice and hot and the toilets were extremely clean. The grounds are well kept and spacious with lots of cute farm animals. Would highly recommend!

The camping experience with the animals was absolute delight, especially the animal's interaction was delightful for our grandchildren. However, one minor feedback we found it inconvenient that rubbish bins were not readily available near the recycling bins at our camp site. But we will definitely return to this heavenly little haven.

We had an amazing time camping here! We stayed on Site 2, which was fantastic, having a private spot right in front of the lake made the whole experience feel really special and serene.
It was also super convenient to have access to the showers on-site, which were well-maintained and made the stay much more comfortable.

Where to go
New South Wales
New South Wales has a bit of everything that makes Australia such a great place to camp. Hipcampers can choose from snow-covered mountains, beaches, rainforest, and Outback plains—you can always find a good camping spot in NSW.
Queensland
Australia’s favourite place to escape the cold, the white-sand beaches north and south of Brisbane in southeast Queensland are warm enough to swim in all year-round. It may be too wet in summer to camp comfortably in the rainforest of Cairns, the Tropical North, and along the Great Barrier Reef, but winter is the best time to swim in the sea. The Outback, too, is at its best in the cooler months.
South Australia
A wild, dramatic, and mostly deserted coastline, South Australia’s rugged outback ranges and fantastic wine are just a few reasons to pitch a tent or park your caravan here. It may not always be swimming weather (the ocean waters are cold), but the beach camping here is some of the best in Australia.
Tasmania
Any time's a good time to visit Tasmania, a place that will delight intrepid Hipcampers with its wild and remote national parks and camping sites. You'll need a warm sleeping bag and good wet weather gear, as it can snow on the peaks near Hobart even in summer. But don't let a little dampness put you off, because it rains here all the time, which is why the World Heritage wilderness areas are so beautifully lush.
Victoria
Just down the road a bit from Melbourne, Victoria’s Great Ocean Road is a bucket-list road trip that lives up to the hype, with some of the best coastal camping areas around. Hiking and camping in the Grampians is good year-round, although the snow-covered high country peaks and the east coast national parks are best saved for the warmer months.
Western Australia
Western Australia is huge, so don’t expect to see it all in a couple of weeks. Let the weather be your guide and explore the coastal national parks, forests, wineries, and beaches south of Perth during the hot, dry summer, then head north to Broome and the Kimberley for a 4WD camping adventure in winter, when it rarely rains.
Northern Territory
When the wintertime chills hit the south, the Northern Territory is the place to be, especially if you’re fond of campervan road trips. The deserts of the Red Centre offer warm, fly-free days and cold nights ideal for gathering around the campfire. Kakadu National Park and the Top End are hot and dry—perfect for swimming.
