The Domaine de la Templerie is first and foremost a Table champêtre (farm to table). To have a rustic table, a good majority of the products served in the restaurant must come from the farm. This is why you will find on site a farm with wild boars, geese, ducks, guinea fowl, pheasants, capons, turkeys and many other animals! Il y a une douche chauffée à pleine pression, des toilettes à compost, un évier extérieur et une station de cuisson. Le site est réservé pour une intimité totale, une seule réservation de groupe à la fois, vous disposez donc de votre propre espace privé dans les bois. Il y a une cheminée dans la cabane avec beaucoup de bois. Le sol est principalement constitué de tremplins naturels, cueillis à la main dans les bois. La cabane est nichée dans une forêt magique de mousse et de fougères avec des lucioles, des hiboux, des cerfs et des renards. Il y a des sentiers de randonnée paisibles et entretenus. Un foyer extérieur de cuisine en forme de sphère sous des lampes solaires lucioles ajoute à l’expérience magique. Il existe de merveilleuses activités telles que la pêche, le kayak (Safari Kayak) et les pistes cyclables dans la région. Remontez le temps et découvrez la rare sagesse des érables à sucre mesurant plus de 150 pieds de haut. Vous ne voudrez plus jamais partir, revenir et voir la splendeur colorée des arbres à l'automne et au début du printemps, nous prévoyons de mettre la main sur la fabrication du sirop d'érable.
Cabine Luciole is a heritage Sugar Maple Cabin built in the late 1800's. It is located in an mossy, old growth maple forest with towering majestic maple trees. It is built on a leyline by Irish (Erin) settlers, giving it powerful energy to rejuvinate. You can also walk the cretan labyrinth, to bring balance.
catherdral tin roof cabin has enough space for dinning, entertaining and yoga, it also has a sleeping loft for 2 people, and can be used as a reading nook, bring your own sleeping bags, pillows, and towels and you are welcome to set up a tent on the outdoor camping site. There is a heated full pressure shower, compost toilet and an outdoor sink and cooking station. The site is booked for complete privacy, only one group booking at a time, so you have your own private spot in the woods. There is a fireplace in the cabin with plenty of wood. The floor is mostly nature stepping stones, hand picked from the woods. The cabin is nestled in a moss and fern magical woods with fireflies, owls, deer, and foxes. There are groomed peaceful walking trails. A sphere shaped cooking outdoor fireplace under firefly solar lights adds to the magical experience. There are wonderful activates such as fishing, kayaking (Safari Kayak) and bike trails in the local area. Go back in time and experience the rare wisdom of the sugar maple trees that are over 150 feet tall. You will never want to leave, come back and see the trees colourful splendor in the fall and in early spring we plan to have hands on maple syrup making.

You’ll have the entire property to yourselves. Once you step onto the trails, you won’t see other guests — just forest, snow, and quiet.
Explore 10 km of private snowshoe trails, including 5 km of groomed routes through maple forest, ridgelines, and along the lakeshore, plus 5 km of quieter, backcountry-style trails. A winter highlight is the hike straight across the frozen lake, beneath towering granite cliffs rising from the shoreline. Snowshoes are available on site.
Dogs absolutely love it here. With the entire property private, they can safely run, explore, and play off leash, following snowy trails, sniffing forest edges, and curling up by the fire at the end of the day.
The shelter includes a queen bed with fresh flannel linens and a down duvet, plus space for tents around the firepit if you’d like a group setup. Kids and pets stay free — just leave it like you found it. The covered deck has handcrafted rocking chairs for sunset views, while your private fire area below is perfect for marshmallows and stargazing.
We’re also building a new bunkhouse nearby for families and groups — part of our long-term vision for year-round outdoor education and adventure.
There’s no electricity or running water, but you’ll have LED lights, a Jackery battery bank for devices, and a Bluetooth speaker. A cooler, lanterns, jugs of clean well water, and a clean outhouse are provided. Wildlife is plentiful — deer, foxes, loons, and the occasional wolf howl in the distance.
I’ll haul your gear by ATV, so bring what you need and settle in. Come unplug, warm up, and experience the stillness of winter at The Off Grid Ark — where comfort meets true off-grid adventure.

He're a 1 hour away from Montréal, 45 min from Ontario border and about 20 min from the US border. The campground is Located on 153 acres of land. The Domaine de la Templerie is first and foremost a Table champêtre (farm to table). To have a rustic table, a good majority of the products served in the restaurant must come from the farm. This is why you will find on site a farm with wild boars, geese, ducks, guinea fowl, pheasants, capons, turkeys and many other animals! We transform our product at the farm and sell them at the farm too. We also have a soccer field, volleyball court and horseshoe pit.

La cabine cathédrale au toit de tôle a suffisamment d'espace pour manger, se divertir et faire du yoga, elle dispose également d'une mezzanine pour 2 personnes et peut être utilisée comme coin de lecture, apportez vos propres sacs de couchage, oreillers et serviettes et vous êtes invités à vous installer. monter une tente sur le camping extérieur. Il y a une douche chauffée à pleine pression, des toilettes à compost, un évier extérieur et une station de cuisson. Le site est réservé pour une intimité totale, une seule réservation de groupe à la fois, vous disposez donc de votre propre espace privé dans les bois. Il y a une cheminée dans la cabane avec beaucoup de bois. Le sol est principalement constitué de tremplins naturels, cueillis à la main dans les bois. La cabane est nichée dans une forêt magique de mousse et de fougères avec des lucioles, des hiboux, des cerfs et des renards. Il y a des sentiers de randonnée paisibles et entretenus. Un foyer extérieur de cuisine en forme de sphère sous des lampes solaires lucioles ajoute à l’expérience magique. Il existe de merveilleuses activités telles que la pêche, le kayak (Safari Kayak) et les pistes cyclables dans la région. Remontez le temps et découvrez la rare sagesse des érables à sucre mesurant plus de 150 pieds de haut. Cabine Luciole is a heritage Sugar Maple Cabin built in the late 1800's. It is located in an mossy, old growth maple forest with towering majestic maple trees. It is built on a leyline by Irish (Erin) settlers, giving it powerful energy to rejuvinate. You can also walk the cretan labyrinth, to bring balance.
catherdral tin roof cabin has enough space for dinning, entertaining and yoga, it also has a sleeping loft for 2 people, and can be used as a reading nook, bring your own sleeping bags, pillows, and towels and you are welcome to set up a tent on the outdoor camping site. There is a heated full pressure shower, compost toilet and an outdoor sink and cooking station. The site is booked for complete privacy, only one group booking at a time, so you have your own private spot in the woods. There is a fireplace in the cabin with plenty of wood. The floor is mostly nature stepping stones, hand picked from the woods. The cabin is nestled in a moss and fern magical woods with fireflies, owls, deer, and foxes. There are groomed peaceful walking trails. A sphere shaped cooking outdoor fireplace under firefly solar lights adds to the magical experience. There are wonderful activates such as fishing, kayaking (Safari Kayak) and bike trails in the local area. Go back in time and experience the rare wisdom of the sugar maple trees that are over 150 feet tall. You will never want to leave, come back and see the trees colourful splendor in the fall and in early spring we plan to have hands on maple syrup making.

You’ll have the entire property to yourselves. Once you step onto the trails, you won’t see other guests — just forest, snow, and quiet.
Explore 10 km of private snowshoe trails, including 5 km of groomed routes through maple forest, ridgelines, and along the lakeshore, plus 5 km of quieter, backcountry-style trails. A winter highlight is the hike straight across the frozen lake, beneath towering granite cliffs rising from the shoreline. Snowshoes are available on site.
Dogs absolutely love it here. With the entire property private, they can safely run, explore, and play off leash, following snowy trails, sniffing forest edges, and curling up by the fire at the end of the day.
The shelter includes a queen bed with fresh flannel linens and a down duvet, plus space for tents around the firepit if you’d like a group setup. Kids and pets stay free — just leave it like you found it. The covered deck has handcrafted rocking chairs for sunset views, while your private fire area below is perfect for marshmallows and stargazing.
We’re also building a new bunkhouse nearby for families and groups — part of our long-term vision for year-round outdoor education and adventure.
There’s no electricity or running water, but you’ll have LED lights, a Jackery battery bank for devices, and a Bluetooth speaker. A cooler, lanterns, jugs of clean well water, and a clean outhouse are provided. Wildlife is plentiful — deer, foxes, loons, and the occasional wolf howl in the distance.
I’ll haul your gear by ATV, so bring what you need and settle in. Come unplug, warm up, and experience the stillness of winter at The Off Grid Ark — where comfort meets true off-grid adventure.

Cozy cabin, lovely and isolated setting, and lots of stars! A perfect getaway from the city and the hectic pace of life. We had a great time and Stephen was helpful.
Note that the ladder to the sleeping loft is very steep, heating is with fire, and the toilet could be complicated for a kid, so I wouldn't necessarily recommend the cabin for a child under 8 years old. The cabin was snug for 2 people but would probably have felt crowded with 3.

An absolutely perfect winter cabin retreat. Cozy, spotless, and thoughtfully equipped. It was a great place to unplug, relax, and enjoy the winter season. We loved being able to let our dog roam safely off-leash and enjoy the freedom. Mike gave us such a warm welcome that immediately made us feel at home. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and falling asleep while gazing at the stars through the trees was a magical touch. The outdoor kitchen was one of our favourite features. We hope to return.

Great site and great very accommodating, kind hosts! My sister and I stayed a night at their tent site. Jenny and her husband were helpful in showing us around, making sure we had everything we needed, and even offered us firewood when ours was wet.
The property itself was beautiful and we had full access to an indoor room to warm up, a bathroom with warm water and shower, and trails around the property. We even stoppped for a while to look at the chickens they keep.
Highly recommend and will be back! Thanks Jenny!

We had such a fantastic stay at this cosy off‑grid cabin. The space was warm and inviting, with an amazing view that made every sunrise and sunset feel special. At night, the sky was filled with stars that truly felt magical. A sky filled with stars like I have never experienced before. It was the perfect place to unplug and relax. Our host catered to all of our needs, was attentive without ever being intrusive, and made sure we were comfortable throughout our stay. We left feeling refreshed and with a strong desire to come back again soon. I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway in nature.

We absolutely loved everything about this perfect winter cabin getaway! The cabin was surrounded by a beautiful forest and beaver pond with well maintained winter trails for us to explore by snowshoe! Snowshoeing over the beaver pond was definitely a highlight! The cabin had even more amenities than we expected! Not only a cozy wood stove but also a gas heater as well. Kitchen dishware was also appreciated and there was also a BBQ to use! The view from the bed was also spectacular! Falling asleep under the stars and waking up to blue skies was magical! We were never cold, the wood stove kept us super warm and cozy!

The off grid cabin was a really cozy and scenic experience! The cabin opens up to a lovely view of the surrounding hills and woods with a nice forest to walk on the property.

I feel so lucky to have had 2 wonderful nights in Dogstar. The photos really don't do it justice. Millions of trees as far as the eye can see, sparkly plush snow and a cozy woodstove. The only interuption to the quiet? Wolves singing to each other under the stars on my first night! 🥰

We loved everything about our stay in the Cliffside Cabin and will definitely return. The cabin is cozy and inviting and kept us snug and warm despite the frigid -30 degree temps outside. The bed is heavenly; so comfortable for sleeping, and also surrounded by windows for enjoying the stunning views and sunset. The cabin strikes the perfect balance of rustic and convenience, so you get the charm and atmosphere of being off grid, but the comfort and ease of having lights easily accessible and sleeping through the night without having to stoke a fire to stay warm. The property is incredible. It’s totally private and has tons of beautiful wooded trails to explore. We snowshoed for hours and enjoyed the variety of trail types, from machine set to human set to making our very own in the deep snow! We were there during a nighttime snowshoe race so got to see all the headlamps moving very quickly through the forest from the comfort of the cabin after our own snowshoe adventure. Our dog, who is reactive and barky in the city, was able to be off leash and lived his best life from arrival to departure. He tired himself out exploring and put himself to bed early! Last but definitely not least, Mike was an exceptional host. He is responsive and thoughtful, offering to reschedule when I asked about the cold, and even offering to loan us his dog’s jacket when I said I might buy one. He is interesting and so easy to talk to, and we left his presence feeling uplifted. Highly recommend!

Weekend Trip to Agape Gardens - Nature Retreat
My partner and I LOVE staying here on our occasional trip up north! 20 Minutes from Gatineau Park and 35 minutes from Ottawa, it’s the perfect balance of time in the city and the beautiful countryside. Incredibly accommodating and kind hosts, it’s well worth a stay for any occasion :)

Weekend Trip to "Romantic" 4-Season Cliffside Cabin
The cabin is beautifully built and well-equipped. Mike's communication is excellent, he went out of his way to accommodate us, and he is a pleasure to chat to. The hiking trails are well-marked and the walk to the lake is beautiful, even in the late fall with barely any leaves left on the trees. We spent a peaceful and restorative two nights, and look forward to doing so again.

We had an unusual stay because of staying so late in the season--we got to be the only people staying here! Which is always our favorite because we are always trying to get away from the crowd.
Domaine generously allowed us to use the facilities in one of the chalet as the group water use area was shut off for the season. We were quite comfortable in our travel trailer as a result.
We would love to try the community kitchen next time because there will be a next time!
Also, super bonus are the walking/atv trails that lead out into the wilderness from the camp. Plenty of places to walk around.
