La cabane est bien équipée et très lumineuse. Grandes fenêtres, poêle à bois, table à pic-nic et "pit à feu" extérieur. Tout pour se reposer, relaxer et profiter de la nature. Sarah’s land was peaceful and a perfect place to lay under the stars and watch the meteor showers. We loved how peaceful and gorgeous the sunset was, per Sarah’s recommendation. A great and unique stay, perfect in the midst of our cross country roadtrip! We were lulled to sleep by the water nearby. Highly recommend the chocolaterie at the end of the island for a sweet creamy dessert!

Le propriétaire est très sympathique et répond rapidement aux messages. Le site est magnifique et l'installation électrique fonctionne bien. C'est calme le soir.
Il y a un café accessible à pied où l'on peut déguster un bon petit-déjeuner ou déjeuner.

Karine was the best host ever! My wife and I arrived late but we found our way to her pleasant campground. Our car and trailer were big and she helped us move things around to accommodate our large car and trailer. She also advised us where to park in Quebec City and gave us ideas about dining. She is very knowledgeable about the recreational activities (biking, skiing, snowmobiling, hiking) available in the area. I would highly recommend Karine’s spot for a comfortable, quiet campground!

When to go
Baie-Saint-Paul is open year-round, with most businesses staying open through winter to capitalize on the large numbers of snowsports enthusiasts that flock to the Charlevoix region. That said, if you aren’t visiting in the summer it is always a good idea to call places in advance to check. If you want to see whales, come from May to October. High-summer in Baie-Saint-Paul can be very busy with tourists, but the fall is usually calmer but still gorgeous.
Know before you go
- The Train de Charlevoix travels from Baie-Saint-Paul and La Malbaie, and makes for a romantic little trip that feels a little like stepping back in time when you ride it.
- Don’t expect everyone in this part of Quebec to speak English! French is Quebec’s first language and most people (especially those working in tourism) will be bilingual, but it is helpful to have a translation app at hand.
- Each July the city holds its Le Festif de Baie-Saint-Paul, a celebration of music and circus performance. This is super fun, but the city gets packed out.
- There are several EV charging stations in the city.
