We are OPEN despite the current issues. No fires are allowed due to provincial bans. Enjoy the quiet skyline and maybe even catch a glimpse of the local wildlife. Our grass lots are backed with lush Appalachian forest and leads way to a slow brook where you can wade with the tide or try your hand at fishing or simply sit by the fire and enjoy the solitude. Check in is self guided as there is no host on site but you'll find it simple as all sites, as well as the toilet area is well marked with signage. This doesn’t mean we aren’t here to help, you can reach us 24/7 via text. We are Located just off the Acadian Coastal Drive and minutes from the beautiful Fundy shore. You can bring your tent, RV, van or camper and choose from 4 fantastic sites. 1-30 amp service, 2 roadside non-serviced as well as one privative forested site and 3 tent sites. All sites are equipped with a fire pit and access to our outhouse restroom. Wood is available for purchase if you didn’t bring your own! We are currently fencing in the entire property to make it a dog/cat and livestock safe area so pets can enjoy a safer experience . The historic barns, deep swimming pond, sugar house, and stunning woods with trails that have 2 disc golf baskets all provide ample space, entertainment and privacy for a quiet and relaxing retreat. Learn more about this land: Come join us at the Gaylin Farms – home to four friendly goats, Newfoundland ponies, Chanticler chickens, two dogs and a cat. Stay at our completely private cabin (sleeps 3 comfortably, sleeping mats/air mattresses NOT provided) isolated within the centre of a gorgeous 25-acre forest with a private groomed c. 1.5 km walking/biking trail. The cabin is a 5-minute walk from the Trans Canada RailTrail which grants easy access for longer bike rides, runs, hikes, and four-wheeler adventures. You’ll walk through a horse pasture and a cow pasture on your way to the cabin. There is a large farm pond (10ft deep) on the property for swimming. Enjoy access to locally-sourced food, firewood (at a small fee), drinking water, a private firepit, small wood stove and our old-fashioned wood-fired cook stove. There is no electricity or running water (but we provide ample drinking water) and there can be access to a charger box so you may charge your devices or have a light at night. Bring your pets and enjoy a private retreat. The max capacity of the cabin is three people. An outhouse with double-duty bag and second luggable loo are available for all guests. Minimum stay: 2 nights. NEW ADDITION: A new room, a small annex, has been constructed to allow for downstairs sleeping and writing area. It is fully insulated with a wood stove so this area may be used year round. The annex gives one a deeper feeling of being a part of the woods.

We had a great two night stay at the Owl's Nest cabin. Helmut answered all of our questions before we left and transported us to the cabin to show us around the cabin and property. Cabin is secluded and off-grid. Our dog was not a fan of the steep stairs to the loft. Don't forget to bring your orange vest and remember to check for ticks. Highly recommend for those looking for a quiet getaway.

We absolutely loved our stay at Owl’s Nest! Helmut treated you like family, sharing his experiences tending the forest and the cabin that he built. If you’re looking for a place to get off-grid, connect with nature, and be able to explore the many trails just outside your door, this is the place! We especially appreciated how the land was private, so that we could let our pup explore without worrying about running into any other dog owners. It was a great to share this cabin and we will certainly be coming back!

The vegetation was a bit overgrown and dry when we stayed so we didn’t drive all the way back but there is a nice flat field area in the back that would be a nice spot to park for the night.

Charlene was the most incredible host! She was so kind, approachable, and informative. She texted us to find out our arrival time so that she could give us a tour of the property when we arrived—it was such a treat to meet all of the critters! She even moved our trailer back into the woods a bit so that we could have privacy and enjoy the pond. The trailer itself is very comfortable, with a toilet, sink, shower, fridge, and table with sitting room.

We absolutely loved our stay at the treehouse! The space itself is beautiful and thoughtfully designed, with everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing retreat. One of the highlights was being able to stargaze right from bed — such a magical experience. The kitchen and amenities were well stocked, which made meals easy and stress-free. The swing set and hammocks were a huge hit with both the kids and adults alike, adding such a fun and playful touch to the stay. It really was the perfect combination of comfort, nature, and little details that made it memorable. Helmut was so nice, and his cabin was exceptional. We were nested into the forrest, cut from the rest of the world. The cabin has everything you need, including a pump and head shower, perfect for a quick wash. I would definitely recommend!
