Heritage is important to us. Most of the ranch looks just as Lewis and Clark saw it when they explored north central Montana. Steve and I are the first people outside the Graham family to manage this land as a whole. The Grahams homesteaded here about 1889. Before that, Blackfeet tribes lived here during the summers. Teepee rings are scattered across the ranch. You have the opportunity to sleep inside one of them. You will feel the spirit of the land and the people who slept here before you. Your cell phone will feel disconnected from what you are experiencing in the moment. If you let it.

We raise cattle and sheep, plus a few horses. Our livestock graze in patterns that encourage healthy, diverse plant communities and clear, cold water. Our mission is to raise livestock in an environmentally and economically sustainable manner and to teach others about how and why we do it this way. If you want to talk about land management, pull up a chair!

As a part of our commitment to sustainability, we direct market our grassfed beef and lamb, plus a variety of wool products from our sheep. We even have a couple of books that tell some ranching stories for avid readers.
