2 sites ¡ Lodging5 acres ¡ Eagle River, WIWelcome! The Kimpel Cottage was originally designed in 1985 by owner J Kimpel, a photojournalist, and his architect/associate, G Guszkowski, AIA, Principal of AG Architecture in Wisconsin and University of Wisconsin Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award winner. In 2020, the cottage was purchased by Beth B, an artist and administrator from Minnesota.
This semi-rustic cabin (think "state park cabin elevated"!) puts an emphasis on nature while continually creating lasting memories. Kimpel Cottage is not a "flip" establishment, it is an '80's nostalgic, Scandinavian-inspired, chalet-style abode where guests are taken back to more simple times and bring you closer to the natural world. Kimpel Cottage is situated on over five acres of private, beautiful, deep woods and is located minutes away from the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest.
