Sweet spot!
Chris has a really fantastic spot! He was SUPER helpful and we had a great time. Bring bug spray, mosquitoes were really awful!

Great Hospitality & Great Location
Great location near Manitowish River! Chris was knowledgeable, accommodating, and regularly communicated with us throughout our stay. Overall great hospitality AND a great location. Lots to do in the area including kayaking/canoeing and it’s a short drive to WinMan Trails. Full hookups on site are a bonus!

Two nights midweek
We enjoyed the site. Great that it was full hookups. Host Chris was friendly and great to chat with. Perfect location for exploring the nearby towns and bike trails. Nothing to be done, but the mosquitos are thick!

Convenience Vs Highway Noise
Pro's:
1) Beautiful rustic lodge with games, gas fireplace, coffee & water, and bathroom.
2) Right next to the river, 20% off discount on rental equipment, including kayaks, tubes & bikes.
3) Very pleasant host, my husband enjoyed chatting with him.
Cons:
1) Highway noise. I did read about this in the previous reviews, but I was hoping it was not as bad as one reviewer made it out to be, and more like an overly optimistic reviewer downplayed it...to me, it was almost unbearably loud, waking us up at night and headlights literally shined into our tent throughout the night. It really ruined the ambiance for us, unfortunately.
2) Bathroom is located inside the lodge, and there was no door code provided as mentioned (even though it was usually left unlocked). If you have any digestive/bathroom issues or little ones, this may be concerning, because the door was found locked at times and we ended up having to pee outside many more times than we were planning on.
3) Mosquitos were almost unbearable, but that is what you must expect when being so close to the water!

Beautiful Site
We stayed here as a halfway point and arrived late at night so did not get to stay long but it was BEAUTIFUL and Chris was very welcoming! Waking up in the morning to see the scenery & river was a delightful site to see to kick off our week long road trip. We will definitely be back and to enjoy the adventure club itself next time!

River's Edge Campsite 2
The site is as shown and described. We enjoyed the peace and quiet, along with the beautiful scenery. There are trails for hiking and bike riding. It's right on the river; we observed local wildlife including a bald eagle soaring above where we fished. The hosts were kind and hospitable. We're new to camping in an RV, and this site was perfect for us and having a full hook up was definitely appreciated. They have much to offer here and we hope to return in the future.
