Stephanie has a lovely little farm in Connecticut. You're essentially parking in their yard, which is next to some productive areas where she is growing fruit trees. The campfire pit is lovely and has some wood stumps for seating. There's a nice picnic table under trees for shaded meals, too. The portapotty is not far and easy to get to at night if needed. The land is flat so it's easy to pitch a tent. The lake is right next to it, so super easy access to water activities!

What a breath of fresh air - literally- to stay with Stephanie at her gorgeous farm in Connecticut. The site is very pretty, amongst lovely wildflowers with a traditional red barn, within walking distance of a lake for great kayaking. The best part of all was the warm welcome we received from Stephanie and her team, who couldn't do enough to help us settle in under the stars. We won't ever forget our wonderful holiday!

Enjoying the beach at Old Saybrook!

Camping at Firefly Common was just what we were looking for. The field was clean and it was actually more wooded and private from the neighboring land then we expected by looking at the satellite map. We enjoyed the large fire circle at night. Nice touch to provide a rake to rake out the fire at the end of the night. The port-a-potty was decent and the perfect distance from the sites. There was only one other camper there. If all 6 sites were occupied it might feel a little crowded. We were at site 4 which has two privacy trees and a few other trees. Site 3 looks like it has its own fire circle and has a nice corner spot. Stephanie was great with communicating and was very welcoming to us. I forgot to mention to her that her initial communication didn't give an address but we figured it out from the arial map that is visible once you pay. We would go back. There was little to no street noise. We could hear a faint outdoor concert nearby but it was done by the time we went to bed. In the am a rooster was heard in the distance which was charming. The setting is quite charming and I wished we had taken the time to walk down the country road. The front of the property has a camper on it as well with maybe a permanent resident? And there were two large tents in the front part of the property that look like maybe long term campers? Stephanie set out a produce tent for campers to buy whatever is coming from the garden. There were lovely tomatoes and squash out when we were there. I love that the parking is not in the camping area, it adds to the experience to not see cars.

view of the separate parking area in the distance and another camper at site 6. There is an empty site 5 between usview of site 4 - only site with a few trees view of the barn and port a potty from site 4- communal large fire circle visible off to the left in middle of field. One common picnic table near fire circle.
