Sites are generously sized for multiple tents, and spaced out such that you might not see other parties from your own site. That said, don't be surprised if you see some of the local cattle trundling through the campground.

Cooling off in Kaiser Creek after a day on the trail. The creek is easily accessed (and has a nice pool for wading) next to the bridge at the far end of the campground.Upper Twin Lake on a smoky afternoon. The lake is a little over three miles' hike from the Sample Meadow trailhead, with roughly 500' elevation gain.

As of mid-September 2015, Kaiser Creek was still running enough to provide water for filtering.

The track from Kaiser Pass Road down to the campground is mostly unpaved and rough at times. Vehicles with low ground clearance not recommended; similarly for 2WD vehicles in wet weather.

We brought our 21' trailer. It was a slow drive down a bumpy dirt road. I wouldn't have towed anything larger. Great private campsite along a river. Cows walk through the grounds regularly. A great hike just up the road.
