Past trip
in Historic Cedar Dam, VirginiaHad a great two-night stay. Camped on the road back in the woods, still just a short walk to the fire pit and lake. Kim was a great host and made sure we had everything we needed.

#3 Park at the Pond
in Blackwater Birds and Bees, VirginiaGreat property with plenty to do
Beautiful private property. Quiet, even with the other sites booked while we were there. Tons to do between paddling on the lake, walking/exploring the property, and services provided by the hosts. Hosts were great and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. Rained all weekend, but the roads and paths are well maintained and we had no trouble getting in or out of the property. Great experience start to finish.
Past trip
in Outdoor Access Camping, VirginiaSpent two nights here and enjoyed ourselves. Plenty of fish in the river right off the bank and relatively easy access for a kayak. Lots of local sights/breweries/venues within easy driving distance.

Toby W.has mixed feelings towards this listing.
The campsite is on a beautiful piece of non-residential property. The river is great for fishing lots of different fish and is also beautiful to wake up to. Didnât see another soul the two days we were there. Great location close to Williamsburg for sight-seers and within 10-15 minutes of several local breweries for hopheads. Would recommend 4-wheel drive for those that wish to drive all the way to the river or carrying boats down as we got stuck in the mud about halfway down the road. Would recommend walking in (about 5 mins) to the main campsite from the main road for anyone not driving an SUV/Truck.
Toby hasn't gone on any trips yet.
Hipcamp Hosts can leave an optional review of their Hipcampers after the trip is completed. This is where those reviews from Hipcamp Hosts will appear.
