About Springs/Nature Paradise
With over 1/3 acre of dedicated riverfront property on the Santa Fe River, you’ll have all the peace and quiet you can handle in this single spot campsite. The campsite was purpose-built for friends and family who come to visit this slice of paradise we call home. Ideally located in the heart of spring country in North Central Florida, we have over 18 major springs within a 50-mile radius of this location, which allows for all the outdoor exploration and watersports you desire. With tubing, kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding, swimming, boating, and fishing available within feet of the campsite, you can stay nearby or venture out to some of the best springs in the world.
Boaters – Private boat ramp is 200 yards up the road on the Santa Fe, public boat ramps within 10 miles on the Santa Fe and Suwannee rivers.
Tubers – Tube the private section of the crystal-clear Ichetucknee river accessible only by the homeowners via our 3 waterfront parks. Both get-out parks are within walking distance to the campsite for your convenience.
Paddlers – Paddle the Santa Fe or Ichetucknee rivers from within the neighborhood, or if the time of year is right, venture up to the Ichetucknee State Park to paddle the head waters and north entrance. This is limited in season and numbers to keep the impact on the river to a minimum.
Swimmers – Swim the Santa Fe or Ichetucknee rivers from within the neighborhood via our 9 waterfront parks (6 Santa Fe, 3 Ichetucknee) or venture to either entrance of the Ichetucknee River State Park just a few miles away.
Nature lovers – Explore the unspoiled conservation areas within the neighborhood that can be hiked and explored. Setup a hammock and sit by the river and watch all your worries wash away, you may get to see the occasional manatee.
Whatever your passion, this campsite accommodates it with electric (50/30/15), water, picnic table, concrete firepit, clothesline and plenty of room to spread out. The neighborhood is golf-cart and UTV friendly and has lots of dirt roads to explore. The deer can be found quite easily every morning and evening while riding around and rarely run away from the vehicles.

Mike and Angela were amazing hosts. Super friendly and helpful. The campsite has access to two rivers: the Santa Fe (calm and beautiful, great for a canoe paddle, private boat ramp nearby for motor boats) and the Ichetucknee (completely clear and blue, cold and refreshing for a hot summer day). There is a private tubing option that is only available to homeowners in the area. This is nice because the state park that is open to the public can become extremely crowded, though I would still recommend visiting this site in the off season which is September-May. We brought our own raft though our hosts kindly offered us tubes. They also gave us a key to access the private homeowners park where we took a wonderful 45 minute float down the river toward camp. We even saw a group of white tailed deer on our walk home! The site is right next to the host's home but we never felt a lack of privacy. Also there is no bathroom which was no problem for us as seasoned stealth van campers but it may mean this site is more suitable for RVs. However, there is a porta-potty at the park nearby. Overall this spot is an awesome location and we would definitely go back! Plenty of great springs within a thirty minute drive as well.
We found Michael's campsite to be quite adequate for our needs. It can easily accommodate a large rv (with water/electric hookups), while it also offers space for tents. The location is proximate to his house, which was a bonus for us: It feels quite secure and we had no problem leaving the site unattended. We had a fantastic time paddling kayaks on the nearby Ichetucknee River and even came across a lone manatee while in the park. Michael was very helpful and offered valuable information in regards to the surrounding areas. This definitely enhanced our ability to make a plan while staying there. Both he and his wife are pleasant and have a generous nature: The mosquitos were bothersome one night and Michael brought out a couple citronella candles for us to use. We didn't try out the (unheated) shower, but it was nice to have the option. I believe future improvements are just around the bend. Being that the site is located next to the Santa Fe River, occasional powerboat traffic is likely to occur. By no means was this enough to ruin the experience. While there is no bathroom facility onsite, there are a few well-maintained porta-loos within 3-5 minute walk. The roads in the immediate area are flat/quiet/unpaved and Mtn bikes got us around the neighborhood quite well.
Our stay at Mike and Anjie’s place on the Santa Fa River was both relaxing and enjoyable. My wife and I have made some new friends and hope to foster that friendship in the future. Anyone that plans to stay at their site can expect to see the beauty of Florida’s springs and rivers, it’s like going back in time to a slower and more relaxing period of Florida. Cedar Key is approximately one hour away, so that makes for a great day trip to the Gulf Coast. It can be tubing down the Ichetutknee River, fishing on the Santa Fa River or enjoying the Gulf you can expect a chance to spend great family and/or friend time. The site very nicely setup with electric, water, fire ring and picnic table. The site also has small gravel, hard packed making it very easy to set. I would definitely suggest this anyone wishing to truly relax and enjoy your time off.
Thanks Annie and Mike🚣🏼♀️🏊🏻♂️🚴♀️🛶🚤⛺️🎣🦉👍
Absolutely GORGEOUS campsite. Extremely clean, more than enough room to maneuver my 28’ travel trailer (alone and I’m not an experienced hauler). I was alone for the weekend And felt extremely safe as the property resides in a higher end community with private parks and access to both the Santa Fe and Itchatucknee Springs within walking distance or a very short drive, maybe 1/2 a mile to the springs. I would recommend this campsite to anyone and plan on going back as often as I can. It’s not full privacy as the owners home is right next door but at no time did I feel encroached on or interrupted in anyway. I simply felt like I had a neighbor not unlike any other campground. If you’re looking for serenity or a place to take the family with plenty to do outside, this is the place.
I would highly recommend the Springs/Nature Paradise to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway! The site was in a quiet and beautiful neighborhood, located right on the river. There are several parks nearby, both in the neighborhood and state parks within 20 minutes, which were great to explore the Florida springs. Michael was a great host, making sure we had everything we needed for the trip. Overall, the site and host were perfect and definitely a great camping experience.
