Past trip
in Northern Oasis Camping, MichiganRobin B.recommends this listing.
(Dispersed site)
Northern Oasis was a quiet and clean place to stay and an easy drive from Marquette. The hosts were responsive and though we did not take advantage of all that they offered, there were 2 fire pits and places to sit in case that was something you wanted to do. I would highly recommend this place.
Past trip
in Tedâs Farm, MichiganRobin B.recommends this listing.

Ted's camp was pretty. We even got a spot with a picnic table which worked out for us. It was on a busy road that quieted down in the evening so sleeping was blissful:). Hosts were responsive and I loved that there was history to the place.
Past trip
in dabudage Big Sur, CaliforniaThis place was magical. One of the things I've loved about staying at "hipcamps" is being able to witness how many different ways there are to live one's life. I loved the communal feel to this place. There is a communal kitchen where campers and the host and family cooked and ate together. The sleeping space was absolutely beautiful, with a view of the ocean...as I said...magical. I would recommend this space 100%.

FollyFootFrolic
in FollyFoot Farm Frolic, CaliforniaRobin B.recommends this listing.
(Dispersed site)
This place is magical, right down to the tiny details like the kidney shaped pool lit up with purple light for the night and the telescope offering close up views of the surrounding hills and far away stars. We never actually met Livia, the hostess, but there was clearly someone who made sure we felt welcome and had everything we needed.
At this space, guests are allowed access to an indoor bathroom, the billiard table room (complete with photos of Mick Jagger and Jimmy Page) and a common room with a fireplace. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone desiring a unique camp experience, not far from Carmel/Monterey. the drive up was totally worth it!!
Past trip
#2 PARK N SURF
in WildTender Ranch & Rescue, CaliforniaAlthough this is more of just an overnight, in and out in 12 hours kind of site, it was still magical, based on the fact that Montrese is providing an amazing service to rescue horses. There are many rules to follow to insure the safety of the horses, but it was worth every word we had to read on the directions. I appreciated knowing that this kind of place exists and that I had the opportunity to be a part of it. I would have never known about it, but because of hipcamp and Montrese's willingness to host people on her land, I got to experience it for myself and share it with others. If you are willing just to have a place to overnight, I would recommend this place 100%. having to leave by 8AM got us on our way, too, so that was a helpful side bonus!!
Past trip
in Mystical Mount Shasta, CaliforniaWe never met William but he was always responsive to our requests. Finding the actual campsite and the ceremonial site was a bit like a treasure hunt, so as long as you are up for that and are playful (as my son and I were), you will love this place. AS we were here during the height of the Redding fire, we did not get to see Mt Shasta so I would love to return at a time when we could. making it even more magical. I would recommend this site 100% to adventurous types wanting to stay off the beaten path.
Past trip
in Birds & Bees Homestead, OregonJay was a responsive and friendly host, sharing information about his homestead and things to do and see in the area. We felt welcome and comfortable by humans and animals alike (bunnies, chickens and ducks). The site was super close to Ashland center and the freeway, so accessible in many ways. I would recommend this place 100%.
robin hasn't gone on any trips yet.
Hipcamp Hosts can leave an optional review of their Hipcampers after the trip is completed. This is where those reviews from Hipcamp Hosts will appear.
