About the 48 acres of land: Heritage Hills farms is located where the beautiful Montana prairie meets the rolling Foothills. Meandering coolies and steep hills beckon to be explored here. The hand of man has not shaped this land. A truly glorious sight to look around you and not be able to see any man made things. Natural sights include ancient teepee rings, amazing sunsets overlooking the Milk River, and the simple, subtle beauty of the Montana hi-line. It is very quiet and the stars shine very bright here on a clear night. What's near by?: Enjoy some great fishing on Nelson reservoir (9.3 miles away) take a nice swim and soak in the wonderful Sleeping Buffalo Hot Springs (13.4 miles away) jump in a cool clear pond or have a great fishing session at Cole Ponds (5.3 miles away). Saco is only 6 miles down the road and has a nice little grocery store with a world class butcher/deli. (Some really great meat products) post office, bar, pay at pump gas station. Get your ultra fresh free range duck and chicken eggs which are laid at Heritage Hills Farms daily from your friendly HipCamp Host!Come and park your RV in one of our private spots. You can expect to catch some beautiful sunsets overlooking the Milk River here, explore ancient native American teepee ring sites, or take a walk among the rolling hills and coolies of the adjoining 60 acres of BLM land. There are lots of wildflowers during certain times and mostly prairie shortgrass and some sagebrush. Saco is only 6 miles away. Sleeping Buffalo Hot Springs is 13, and Nelson Reservoir is 10.  There are also some really cool ponds about 5 miles away that are stocked with walleye, bass, and there is an entire pond with only northern pike in it. If you want eggs swing by the farm and grab some freshly laid chicken or duck eggs and fresh veggies if in season. We also have firewood available.

Come and park your RV in one of our private spots. What a lovely site! Very private with great views. Scott was very communicative and gave great directions and we wish we had fridge space for his organic eggs and veggies! We had only one night but would stay there again in a heartbeat.

This place is wonderful and is - for me - why hipcamp spots can be so special. The land is beautiful and a place I never otherwise would have been able to stay/camp while driving across the country. We had such a wonderful time and wished we could stay longer to enjoy the spot. Advice to visitors (at least in June 2025) to bring some kind of bug repellent (they're out in the area). Not biting - but can be a pain if you're not prepared. Unequivocally recommend this spot!

Boondocking with NO neighbors!

This was our first time boondocking in our 35 foot Montana fifth-wheel, and our first time using a HipCamp. It was awesome. Scott escorted us up onto a bluff with a view. There was a fire ring we could have used, but we used our Solo Stove instead. The land is semi-arid and there weren't any trees, just some little cactuses and scrub brush. But the SKY was super clear, and there wasn't anyone within eye site or earshot. Totally private. We wanted zero neighbors! We enjoyed the sunset and the clear view of the stars. We bought some chicken eggs and got a few duck eggs also. Very yummy; better than the grocery store any day. Scott and Cassie were super friendly. Due to windy weather on our way to their farm from the night before in MN, we were running about 2 hours late upon arrival. We communicated with Scott multiple times and he replied back promptly. If this hadn't been just an overnight on our larger trip from Indiana to West Glacier National Park, we would have stayed another night or two. We definitely recommend checking out the farm!

This was such a beautiful place! My friend and I had the most beautiful spot on top of the hill! The pups even came to hang out!! Very well behaved and made us feel safer to say the least 😂! We will definitely book again if we ever are in the area again.

Scott and his fiancée were extremely nice and inviting. They were very accommodating and helpful when finding a place to tent up. They offered a tour of the farm, which we took up on, it was super cool. The landscape was beautiful and breathtaking. They have three dogs that were super friendly and loved to hang out with us. Definitely recommend staying there if you get a chance because I know for sure that I will if I get another opportunity!

The family was very nice. Make sure to follow Scotts directions! Once there, it was peaceful and we enjoyed having the prairie to ourselves for the sunset and sunrise. It was so peaceful, that we over slept!

We originally booked our spot for 4 nights and loved it so much that we added 5 more. This is Big Sky Country - we had the pleasure of easily seeing both the sunrise and sunset each day from our camping spot. Bonus: we even saw the Northern Lights one night! We have a 45-foot fifth-wheel and were nervous about access but Scott was so helpful in sending us a video of the turn in from the road (totally doable). We were also able to get to and from our camping spot without a problem. We did have some rain for 2 days which made the ground soft but it dried up quickly when the sun came out so we had no problem when it was time to leave. Our dog had a great time here being off leash (under our supervision) and walking the perimeter of the property each day with us. We would absolutely stay here again! Friendly hosts, stunning views, and just a great energy here. (PS: Be sure and order some eggs - they're delicious.)

Amazing views, wonderful host, privacy and lots of space. Highly recommend this site! We had a terrific view of the big sky, the moon, sunrise and sunset. Host was responsive and there was good cell service. Unfortunately we did not get to meet Elvis. ☹️

The views and especially the sunrise and sunset were amazingly beautiful not to mention the peace and tranquility of the prairie. There was no one around! Scott was fantastic and very welcoming and the eggs and veggies he provided us were terrific. He communicates well and is ready to help you out if needed. Come visit Heritage Farms, you will not be disappointed!

This was the best site we stayed at during our 2 week trip! The area was absolutely beautiful. We even got a spectacular view of the northern lights. Highly recommend!!! Would stay again in a heartbeat!

Driving from Wisconsin to Idaho, this Hipcamp was so conveniently located just 6 miles from Hwy 2 as I crossed the country on this highway. Really cool views and as I was lounging at the campsite, I’m thinking THIS is why they call this state “Big Sky Country”! Amazing sky aLL around! Being VERY quiet and peaceful at the campsite was really welcome after a 1000 mile drive. There was the most friendly billy goat that came to visit that got along great with my Labrador. Overall a perfect peaceful stop on my long journey!

On top of the world

On top of a breezy hill, you can see for miles but you won't see other people! We loved it. It was otherworldly and the stars were fantastic. It's rocky and gravelly but we got in and out easily with our Class A towing a car. Try it, you will like it! Scott was a big help with many informational contacts.

Loved that we could park anywhere on the rolling hills. Very peaceful and star gazing was great. Not far out of town which was very convenient. We would definitely stay there again. Scott was very helpful with directions.

Beautiful place. I camped on an overlook and went to sleep to an amazing sky full of stars (not a lot of excess light nearby) and woke up to a beautiful sunrise and a herd of deer on the opposite ridge looking at me. The hosts care a lot about the land and about their visitors - I visited while it was still winter so they checked the site carefully and whether it would work with my vehicle, and they set out some dry firewood. A really great experience for those appreciating a quiet place on the Montana prairie.
