This is a really great property. We pitched a tent in an easy clearing in the woods on a vista that overlooked a horse pasture. Hosts were friendly and extra helpful. Recommended.

thumbs up, wonderful campsite. ARRIVAL ADVICE: youâll be on the gravel road a while. Youâll go through a gate that has four separate signs warning Private Property No TrespassingâŚthat gave me pause, but itâs the right direction. Once you pull over to park, the trail / road leading down to the campsite is probably about 150 feet. Itâs a really great site, and both the waterfall (four minute hike downstream) and swimming hole (seven minute hike upstream) are worth it. And Scottie and his dog are cool!

Great spot + friendly host. There are a ton of fun sounds from wildlife at night, which the kids enjoyed. We found plenty of easy options that were flat for tents and offered good space for our fire pit. Felt completely private. Recommended

This is a fun spot along the river. We set up our tent in a flat, shaded section about ten feet from the water edge. It was quiet and peaceful, and my 8 year old daughter had an easy time fishing.

Past trip
in Peekaboo Meadows & The Big Red Barn, TennesseeGreat host great property
My daughter and I booked a last minute overnight outing. Matthew was very quick to respond and made everything very easy. Directions were clear, and there was a nice spot set up for us with a table, clean water in a big jug, a fire pit, and a bunch of firewood + starter.
This is a pretty part of the state. Peekaboo Meadows is two large, sweeping meadows with cool views of the wooded hills. We enjoyed walking the perimeter and went back into the trees a few times. My daughter enjoyed the swings hung from several branches.
We pitched our tent right behind the Big Red Barn, which was ideal. There's a ton of shade, and we got a pretty steady breeze through most of the night.
I recommend booking with Matthew.
