I was here in February when none of the trees in the orchard were blooming. I am sure that the experience is very different in summer months. The sites are very close together. I had a challenging time staking out my tent as the soil is mostly rocky ( and it rained). The commons area was not inviting- there was construction on new bathrooms being done and workers who began early in the morning right across from the site. The grounds where weddings take place was stunning. I had my dog along, though, so couldn’t spend time on the lawn. I can imagine that the fruit stands are also gorgeous when in season.
The canyon is beautiful, close to beaches.
We had a great experience at this amazing property. The owners have done amazing things, are incredibly driven and so kind. The boxcar was adorable. The kids loved the hot cocoa! Our dog was so happy to have land to roam. Jim took so much time talking to our kids and letting them help with the land. We can’t wait to visit again!
Jaqueline is an amazing, inspiring, hard working woman. The directions to the ranch need to be clarified. Upon our arrival nobody was there and we weren’t quite sure where to go.
On another note- the animals are AWESOME. This is a real, working ranch. My daughter helped on the ranch all weekend. Jaqueline is an amazing role model.
Horses, baby goats, goats, sheep, chickens, dogs, cats.....!!!!
We camped under an amazing tree. No fire ring in the campsiite but we had a lot of rain. The two remote campsites don’t have picnic tables.
A remote, beautiful, off the grid experience. Thank you Saddle Up. We’ll be back.
