I enjoyed staying here a lot!

fully stocked kitchen including; spices, standard stove, pots/pans, utensils, plates/cups, full trash/recycle/compost set up.
communal dining area in a perfect spot for an epic view. Layna even installed a sprinkler system in the ceiling of the dining deck so you can get a light mist going on during the hot points of the day
Tons of spots to set up your tent that has a great view down the valley of mountains
Space for parking of your car so you don't have to unload super far from your camp spot.
Layna the host is genuinely kind and helpful. You can tell she really cares for the site and want guests to have a great time.
There is hot springs only 20-30 minute drive from the camp spot.

-due to the recent fires there really isn't much places where you can set up your tent and have ample shade. I came during a time when it was pretty hot and the heat was definitely on the harsher side. Next time I would just pick a cooler weekend
-I don't think this listing should note "swimming" as one of its amenities. There is a very small lagoon type of water-body on the campsite area, but I wouldn't swim in it given that it is so small and murky. Maybe it gets bigger during different times of year?
-the area: Clearlake is about a 10-minute drive away. I found a hard time finding swimming spots. Most of the lake is taken up by privately own docks. There is a beach in the state park camping area, but it's nothing epic.

Those are just some things I wish I had known before taking the trip.

Overall such a cool spot, must more positives than negatives. I am curious to see how the campsite continues to grow with Layna's care.

Layna's property reminds me of a backpacking hostel except that it's the outdoors and you have the perfect night sky, You'll get to meet other amazing people there as there is a common kitchen and deck where you come together and star gaze at night.

The experience I had was beyond my expectations - Layna is an exceptional host. We fed her deer, played with Pacheco the German Shepherd guard and ate together. She made everyone feel at home even though we all came from different places. There is also a running creek 2 mins by drive from her property which is perfect for cooling off during the hot summer days. highly recommend this place!

Ravens landing was a super hospitable and strong community. The directions were right on and we spent the day swimming at a near by creek to keep cool. Thank you for having us!

The two downsides of our trip, which we wished we had known in advance: We struggled with this community atmosphere with regard to social distancing and didn’t feel comfortable using the communal kitchen. No one had a mask on them. And, the toilets are an outhouse style.

If you don’t mind those caveats, this is the place for you! Lots of live animals and beautiful landscape.

This place was amazing. We brought three kids between the ages of 7 and 12 and they had an absolute blast. The property is beautiful and quirky and all of the good things.
Composting toilets are the jam.
Layna and Brian were a true delight to spend time with. The peacocks were a bonus feature and one that provided many hilarious moments for the kids.

Worth the trip for sure.

Raven's Landing was a magical oasis! Layna was a fabulous host and very accommodating to all our group needs. The animals and art were a great addition to our camping weekend and it was a perfect spot for a birthday party. I hope to return again one day!

Raven's landing was so much more than i expected. Layna is an amazing artist/host/animal wrangler/carpenter/chef/healer..... and her hilltop retreat is magical. The communal kitchen is well stocked, and the communal hang out area stayed cool even in the full heat of the day. The (very friendly) peacocks, chickens, cats, dog, and a fawn just added to the magic. We'll be back very soon. J+N
