Hiya and welcome to Ravens Landing, an offgrid forever building artist community. We love living free and healthy and eating fresh from our gardens. Come explore the beautiful oak and manzanita forests. Relax and take in the fresh air. Spend quality time with our animals;) Drive off to the cold running creek, Or create a piece of art to leave behind for others to enjoy. This is our Home, so please visit with an open mind, open heart, and most of all Respect. Everyone is always welcome here. Please remember Kids are considered guests here so please include them when you reserve the number of people in your party. KID POLICY: *Must keep an eye on your children at all times. You are responsible for them! *Must arrive 2hrs before dark so you and your children can get acclimated here. *Children must be comfortable and respectful around animals. We have a lot here, they are amazing and kid friendly. *Kids fill this space with their amazing energy so please make sure you account for them in your reservation and let me know there will be kids in your party. Campers get all access to our hand built cob kitchen and epic dining hall deck. It’s a very sunny property so please bring a canopy for shade if you want it over your campsite. But remember to bring stakes, it can be windy here. There is limited potable water due to the Drought. Here we make every drop count so please come with water conservation in mind. Also for big groups, we love celebrating but please please avoid bringing balloons, styrofoam, plastic banners, plastic cups, streamers or anything else that can blow away in the wind. We are offgrid with no amenities from the city so please be mindful of how much trash you’ll leave behind. It’s always a journey finding the magical places so just a sweet heads up our mountain dirt road is a bit bumpy. Cars make it up all the time. Be sure to drive at a steady pace on the way up and don’t stop till you see the Welcome sign:)! We look Forward to meeting you and sharing space with Y’all!

Quite a magical spot
I enjoyed staying here a lot!
fully stocked kitchen including; spices, standard stove, pots/pans, utensils, plates/cups, full trash/recycle/compost set up.
communal dining area in a perfect spot for an epic view. Layna even installed a sprinkler system in the ceiling of the dining deck so you can get a light mist going on during the hot points of the day
Tons of spots to set up your tent that has a great view down the valley of mountains
Space for parking of your car so you don't have to unload super far from your camp spot.
Layna the host is genuinely kind and helpful. You can tell she really cares for the site and want guests to have a great time.
There is hot springs only 20-30 minute drive from the camp spot.
-due to the recent fires there really isn't much places where you can set up your tent and have ample shade. I came during a time when it was pretty hot and the heat was definitely on the harsher side. Next time I would just pick a cooler weekend
-I don't think this listing should note "swimming" as one of its amenities. There is a very small lagoon type of water-body on the campsite area, but I wouldn't swim in it given that it is so small and murky. Maybe it gets bigger during different times of year?
-the area: Clearlake is about a 10-minute drive away. I found a hard time finding swimming spots. Most of the lake is taken up by privately own docks. There is a beach in the state park camping area, but it's nothing epic.
Those are just some things I wish I had known before taking the trip.
Overall such a cool spot, must more positives than negatives. I am curious to see how the campsite continues to grow with Layna's care.
Perfect spot for star gazing
Layna's property reminds me of a backpacking hostel except that it's the outdoors and you have the perfect night sky, You'll get to meet other amazing people there as there is a common kitchen and deck where you come together and star gaze at night.
The experience I had was beyond my expectations - Layna is an exceptional host. We fed her deer, played with Pacheco the German Shepherd guard and ate together. She made everyone feel at home even though we all came from different places. There is also a running creek 2 mins by drive from her property which is perfect for cooling off during the hot summer days. highly recommend this place!
Awesome place for the artistic and not artistic as well. Layna makes you feel right at home. She creates an open and friendly environment for all campers to enjoy. We got to meet all of her awesome and friendly animals! Great place to explore and take in the beautiful views. I recommend Ravens Landing to everyone!
Composting toilets = amazing
This place was amazing. We brought three kids between the ages of 7 and 12 and they had an absolute blast. The property is beautiful and quirky and all of the good things.
Composting toilets are the jam.
Layna and Brian were a true delight to spend time with. The peacocks were a bonus feature and one that provided many hilarious moments for the kids.
Worth the trip for sure.
We loved our weekend at Raven's Landing! Thanks so much, Layna, for welcoming us to your beautiful retreat and making us feel so at home. The place is magical and we will definitely be coming back. I can't recommend Raven's Landing highly enough!
Raven's Landing was a magical oasis! Layna was a fabulous host and very accommodating to all our group needs. The animals and art were a great addition to our camping weekend and it was a perfect spot for a birthday party. I hope to return again one day!
Blissful relaxation in the hills
Raven's landing was so much more than i expected. Layna is an amazing artist/host/animal wrangler/carpenter/chef/healer..... and her hilltop retreat is magical. The communal kitchen is well stocked, and the communal hang out area stayed cool even in the full heat of the day. The (very friendly) peacocks, chickens, cats, dog, and a fawn just added to the magic. We'll be back very soon. J+N
Awesome space. better people
Awesome location! Great host. The space is very cool, lots of camping spots to choose from, the communal kitchen and dining area fit a lot of people, and there are a bunch of cute animals running around
