Overall, this place is nice. The addition of the farm fresh eggs was a big plus! They were absolutely delicious. A few things to suggest to people considering this site: 1. Make sure to contact the hosts a few days prior to your stay to make sure they are ready for you. We arrived and the hosts had forgotten we were coming. 2. When contacting the hosts, verify if they are currently allowing fires on the property because we were surprised that they had their own burn ban in place while staying. We respected their wishes not to have a fire but it definitely changes the camping experience! The campsite is very close to the trees and even with the placement of the fire pit, large fires under normal conditions could pose dangerous. Finally, after we arrived I sent a message asking about the eggs and having our own fire pit as there was not a county burn ban in effect and still received no response from Stephanie on the HipCamp app for the whole stay. Otherwise, the farm is beautiful and both hosts were friendly to chat with! Very good perks and also some frustrating details. Still recommend for a chill spot with my suggestions!

Hosts were helpful and very welcoming. Neat little peice of Texas Hill Country right outside the metroplex. Quiet and doesn’t feel like you’re in DFW. Can be in town quickly. Perfect place to put your camper when your stopping along the way

Overall, we had a great experience! Even though we only stayed during the night hours as a stopover on a longer road trip, the site was convenient. It’s more urban than we expected and the location was close to the road, but it didn't detract much from our stay. We appreciated the quick and easy stop along our journey!

Great place to land for the night. Appreciated the 30A hookup during the Texas summer. I especially love what Fieldsong Farm are doing to help our birds, bees, butterflies, and beneficial insects.

My son (9 yrs) and I thoroughly enjoyed our camping experience here. The campsite was situated between trees and fields at back of the farm. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. There was a bench table and fire place at the campsite. Note there is no running water or toilets at the campsite although you can purchase a 'camp toilet' if needed and water can be obtained from the farm house ~4 mins walk away. The camp site is close to Lake Levon and the Trinity hiking trail. If you're looking for a rustic camping trip not too far from Dallas, this is a great option.

Easy access to a pull through site with electricity. There was a picnic table and fire pit.
Our host was concerned that it was tornado weather, and said we needed to come immediately to their shelter if we heard sirens.
Our windows looked out on their beautiful gardens, and the night was spent peacefully.

Oh my goodness these people are awesome!!
The farm is adorable, the donkeys and goats are soy cute! Richard was the most helpful and interesting human I’ve had the pleasure to meet in a long long long time!
Definitely plan on returning soon!!

I took my six year old daughter camping at Fieldsong Meadow. It was her first camping trip and I wanted to be sure that we had a safe place that wasn't too far away from home. Fieldsong made her first camping experience one she'll never forget!
The tent setup area is on grass and it was freshly mowed. There was wildlife in the area - we smelled a skunk, heard a hoot owl and coyotes, and we saw a North American Wheel Bug which was fascinating to watch.
The area is fenced in so we felt very safe and secure. We also got to see the stars. There was a bit of light pollution from a nearby city to the East but to the West and Southwest we had a very clear nightsky and got to identify constellations.
In the morning we got lucky and it was time for the hosts to feed their livestock, so my daughter got to help by feeding donkeys, chickens, and goats.
This was a 10/10 memorable experience. It's a lovely patch of land that is far from where the hosts live (about 3 football fields away). It was quiet, calm, and just an ideal place to give my daughter a memorable experience and encourage her to love the outdoors.

This was my second stay at Fieldsong Farm. The surroundings are so pleasant. The Nubian goats are beautiful, friendly and gentle. The owners, Stephanie and Richard, are lovely hosts and provide a wonderful sense of security. Whatever you need, they will be ready to assist

Stephanie and Richard were fantastic hosts! They went above and beyond to ensure that our camper was set-up at the site. My daughter and I loved meeting and feeding all the farm animals, stargazing at night, and the amazing breakfast delivered right to our camper door! Our hosts made a delicious breakfast and the blueberry muffins were warm and fresh right out of the oven. Amazing! We also went home with some fresh eggs. We are already talking about another stay! Thank you Stephanie and Richard!

We loved camping at Fieldsong Meadow!! Richard was a wonderful host and let our 7 and 9 year olds experience “farm” life by introducing them to the goats and chickens, which they loved!
We added the breakfast option as an “extra” to our stay and Stephanie cooked us an amazing farm fresh meal, enjoyed by all. And we came home with some free range eggs.
The property was beautiful and campsite in a perfect spot at the back of their farm. We will definitely be back.

Fieldsong Meadow was a perfect quick camping getaway. Richard was a great host. He shared the history of the farm, showed us around the campsite, pulling out the picnic table and got the swing put together for us. With the scenery you feel like you are far away from the city but you still get quite a bit of road noise. Nothing that would deter us from coming back again. On the way out we picked up a dozen of their eggs and petted the donkeys. I would recommend Fieldsong Meadows to others.

Stephanie is WONDERFUL! The location was absolutely perfect. A fire pit with wood was waiting for me, as well as a seat and dinner table. If you are looking for real solitude and quiet get away, this is the place.

Had an amazing night at the farm! Took my 3 year old daughter and she loved touring the farm, getting to feed the chickens and pet the other animals and the campsite was perfect! We had to leave super early due to my daughter getting a tummy bug mid-night but Stephanie was gracious enough to deliver breakfast to our house since we lived in the area! Will definitely be back!

For my first time using Hipcamp my stay at the Fieldsong Meadow completely blew away the expectations I had of what a camping rental site would provide. Stephanie and Richard continously went above and beyond with their communication and hospitality
to ensure I was comfortable during my stay. Can not recommend this Hipcamp enough and I will definitely be back soon.

Nice, peaceful spot at the back of the farm surrounded by trees and tall grasses. The hosts are fantastic and made sure we had everything we needed at all times. Plenty of firewood, space and the breakfast was delicious. We will definitely be returning.

Exceeded expectations!! Stephanie and Richard were great hosts and the site was turn key. We were camping with small kids and appreciated the supplies that were already provided. It made life a lot easier. They have a nice and clean tent site with a firewood stack and tent toilet. We were able to let the kids see their garden, chickens and goats as a way to break up hanging at camp.

A beautiful get away just beyond the outskirts of DFW. Stephanie and family were extremely hospitable and the camp sight was just as listed. We did not get a chance to help on the farm but we did get a great experience. Location is within 1.5 miles of the lake and very scenic.

Great camp spot, I didn't have a lot of time to spend there because I was on a road trip and needed to stick to a schedule but the hosts are very good people and offered me anything I needed. Location is close enough to drive and get anything you need but far out enough to have some privacy. Definitely seemed better than other camps in the area and I would love to go back if I'm ever in Texas again!

Stephanie and her family were beyond gracious hosts! We planned poorly, staying on a night with rain expected, but were ill-prepared when the rain turned to hailstorms. She and her husband came out to retrieve us and our gear for shelter in the barn, and gave us dry warm clothing, lanterns, access to a charcoal grill and the camp toilet. The next day had lovely weather thankfully, and we walked to the boat ramp into Lake Lavon and the start of the Trinity Trail, both less than 2 miles from their property. Add in lots of goats who loved to be petted, feeding a flock of chickens, barn cats, and genuine caring and kindness from our hosts, we would rate our stay a huge success. We plan to return for sure and would recommend to anyone looking to enjoy a country visit and some good cheer :)
