Kinda over grown. It’s rained a lot so it’s to be expected. Had an emergency so couldn’t stay all night but it was private enough to get changed and stuff.

Camping in a beautiful place

We enjoyed our stay for the eclipse very much. My two sons and their families and myself and my husband were there for 4 nights and three days. We all had campers and had to stay on the lower part because of the terraces, but it was just as nice. Lots of nice trees and beautiful blue bonnets. Wilson, the host was always quick to keep us informed and to answer all my questions before as well as when we were there. Beautiful place would stay again. The only draw back was a train honking at night, but over all very nice!

Beautiful bluebonnet fields!

We stayed here for a couple of nights for the 2024 eclipse. There were a number of parties here, mostly near the entrance. We drove our van to the very back of the property where we were alone and had shade and gorgeous bluebonnets in front of our camp. The entrance was a little tricky to identify, a sign would be helpful. Wilson was very responsive with all of my questions. Would definitely stay here again.

A lovely place!

Thank you Wilson for inviting folks like us to enjoy your beautiful ranch. The unique terracing provided opportunity to camp with others as a group - like our party of one RV and one pickup with camper trailer. The property is absolutely beautiful and feels extensive. Other campers were not far away but we felt that we had ample privacy. During our April visit the wildflowers were off the charts. We enjoyed finding our own spot but knew that Wilson was nearby if we needed any help. The small herd of shy but curious cows was entertaining but you better like cows if you’re going to visit this property (we do!). My only moment of trepidation was letting ourselves into the property - I hoped we were in the right place but met other campers quickly who assured us we were.
The place is a jewel and we thoroughly enjoyed our time. Thank you, Wilson!

We loved this spot. We tent camped at the top of the hill and were able to wake up to bluebonnets every morning. The burms were no problem in our pickup and everyone we met were very friendly

Camping on Wilson's land is great! There are MANY places where you can set up and camp amongst the shade trees on the property. There are plenty of areas to explore and some great views to enjoy. Water is available on the land.

Had a great four day weekend.
Plenty of land to free roam
Neighbors were very friendly and helped us with a flat tire we had.
Great for families with SXS, ATVS, or dirt bikes.
Very friendly host.
Some wildlife but nothing too dangerous.
No sign telling us where the destination was. Just an orange cone.
Grass was very overgrown. Had to make a clearing of our own to set up camp.

Overgrown disaster
Let me begin by saying my expectations were minimal - a primitive pastor site with a fire pit. That’s it. Instead we began with a wrong address that took us 45 min out of the way and ended with an overgrown field that had clearly not been maintained in a year or more. I will say that the host was quick to respond with the correct address and the gate code which weren’t provided in the confirmation email. The field was advertised as having “bluebonnets,” yet there were zero bluebonnets. Rather it was covered in weeds and baby mesquite trees no less than 3 to 5 feet tall (see pics, my friend is 5’6”). We were not able to drive to the back of the property as the mesquite trees would have scratched our vehicles to no end. Additionally, any road that previously existed could no longer be seen due to the degree of overgrown weeds. Since it was already late evening, and with no where else to go, we used our cars to smash some weeds down near the entrance - in full view of the nearby neighbors - and set up camp. No camp fire for fear of burning the whole field down. The area around us was cluttered with household items like doors, insulation, and barbed wire. I can not believe that I paid $30 to stay in this place. My best guess is the “host” is someone who just happened to know the gate code and wanted to make some quick cash. The location looked nothing like what was advertised in the photos. I hate to be harsh, but this was definitely less than ideal.

Not as expected.
The pictures and description of the site made it seem like it was private and back on a piece of land. But basically it’s two separate gravel strips where you would park an rv. So if you’re rv camping, it’s not bad! But if you’re tent camping it’s not the best. Anyone who drives by on the gravel road will be right next to your tent

Moody is beautiful

Chose this spot due to its close proximity to the highway. Brought a 37', 10K# TT.
Moody is a beautiful part of TX...first time there. Great property, met the mail carrier (very nice), kids loved the horses. Wilson was extremely helpful and responsive. Go check out Moody and Wilson's property!!!
