4WD accessibility only. The only exception to the 4WD accessibility is the 'Dam at the Rustic Resort' as it has a separate entry gate.
If wet, please engage 4WD and stay out of the ruts.
We are a 90acre private property who raise cattle and goats and have opened up to campers who, like us, prefer and love peace and nature.
We have all of our sites on Booking request ( Reserve). Please check that you are ok with our property rules before you book.
If you are one of our valued regulars, thank you, we love hosting you on the property and always look forward to see you again. If your preferred site is not available , shoot us a message , we may have an alternative for you:)
Our rules are really not rocket science, don't take things that are not yours, use the toilets instead of our bush, don't cut down trees or damage things, that includes damaging trees, don't leave anything but ash in the firepit ,make sure the fire is fully extinguished, remove your rubbish and respect and consider your fellow campers and our neighbours.
Axe throwing has recently become popular within the city, if you must try it on the property , bring a board, our trees are not to be used as targets.
Stay out of our gated paddocks. This is for Biosecurity and your safety.
We are trying to create peace and tranquility that people crave so much when they get out of their busy lives. We are not the place for rowdy parties or large groups ( unless you would like to book out the entire property)
Most of our sites are nestled on different levels between trees and bush so you will feel like you are the only ones there.
You are welcome to have a campfire in the provided fire pit or drum when there is no fire ban in place, however due to the unique surroundings we offer, we do require you to be extra vigilant with fire safety.
You are most welcome to use your own off the ground firepit anywhere in your site.
Please read site descriptions carefully as we have sites that are substantially different in access, privacy , level ground and distance to a toilet.
We affectionately call our property "The Rustic Resort". This is a tribute to the rusty water tanks and dilapidated animal shelters that were left behind when we moved in. Our farm was once part of a thriving rural property in the 1920's. It used to be a dairy farm and then a banana farm. We now raise goats and cattle.
Our property is dog friendly to responsible dog owners, we are happy for your pups to be off lead as long as you are the one in control.
We have a large farm dam that never runs dry, (NO fishing please as we use this for livestock and swimming, and the last thing we need is hooks in peoples or animals feet. )
It is wonderful for a refreshing swim, there is a ladder to make it easier to get into the dam and during the summer months there are floating noodles for your use. Feel free to bring your paddle boards and canoes.
We are centrally located to explore the Glass house mountains ( 20mins), Stoney creek (15min), Rocky holes (35min), Bribie island (40 min), Woodford (10min), Mt Mee (10min), Montville, Maleny (40min) and much, much more.
We are 10 minutes from Woodford and the wonderful Woodford Folk Festival.
"White Ridge Farm" in Elimbah is only 20 minutes from us, and the kids will love the interactive farm experience and cuddling the baby animals.
Wamuran town centre has has an IGA, a wonderful butcher, bakery, bottle shop, 24 hour servo, a rural supply shop, fish and chip shop, a new pizza place and a Thai/Indian take away that is sensational.
Wamuran holds a local country market every 4th Saturday per month from 7am to midday.
There is a Woodfire pizza van in town 2 out of 4 weekends, look up Deadwood Pizza Wamuran to check the dates. We love them.
If you would like to stay longer but feel like you need a shower occasionally, there is a public pool in Woodford and a public pool on King Street towards Caboolture , both are about a 10/15 minute drive from us.
Wamuran is less than an hour north from the city, yet you will feel like you are far away.
If you are looking for a dump point around the area, www.unitywater.com has a list of available dump points with addresses.
If you have any questions please drop us a message.
Campers rave about the peaceful and relaxing atmosphere at this campsite, describing it as a tranquil retreat surrounded by nature. The hosts, Doris and Peter, are frequently highlighted for their warmth and hospitality, making guests feel genuinely welcome. While most reviews are overwhelmingly positive, some note the presence of nearby roads and dogs, which might slightly detract from the serenity for those seeking total solitude. Overall, the area is praised for its spaciousness, privacy, and natural beauty, making it a favored spot for both first-time visitors and returnees.
I only stayed one night and it was super nice and cosy, we stayed at the didyabringyabeeralong campsite and it was kind of secluded from the others so plenty of privacy. The lady who came to greet us was super nice and suggested we took a walk to the dam and it was super easy and quite beautiful. Highly reccomend and will definitely be back
Fantastic camping close to Brisbane, yet in the middle of the bush. Ideal for a quick weekend getaway. Clean toilet close to sites My son and I had a great time and enjoyed roasting marshmallows and going for a walk to the dam! Lovely host too!
This campsite offers a fantastic experience for rooftop tent camping. A 4WD vehicle is essential for accessing the site. The facilities, including the toilets, were well-maintained and clean. The friendly owners contribute to a welcoming atmosphere. We highly recommend this campsite for a memorable outdoor adventure.
Lovely place and view. There are dogs nearby, passers by hiking and the cars passing by as it is next to the main road in and out. The sound echoes throughout. Great for groups and those not looking for total peace and quiet.
We had a beautiful stay overnight at the Rustic Resort. The dam was lovely and we had a nice view of the gorgeous cows in the paddock across from us! Doris was very lovely and they have a beautiful slice of paradise. Thanks for having us!
We were camping at the black stump, the ground was open and ready for us to pick our spot. Really lovely little camp-site, highly recommended for an easy getaway
Although the wet weather cut our stay short, we still had a lovely time at Peter and Doris’s property. The site we stayed at was super secluded with the added bonus of the toilet right off the site. Doris popped down on Saturday morning to say hello and had a nice chat. Lots of space for doggo’s to run free. Our dog, although wet and cold, enjoyed her time sniffing around, chasing the ball and even had a little plod in the dam. Communication was great and directions easy to follow. Would definitely recommend this little slice of land but hopefully you get better weather than we did!
The camping areas are really nice, suited to those who like being in the bush. It was quiet when we went there, but there is plenty of space between the camp sites. The owner is really nice and friendly, and if you are after a relaxing stay in the bush, this place is great!
A fantastic peaceful little camping area great for a weekend away! The hosts are fantastic, very accommodating and helped us to work around the weather to give us the best experience! Doris swung by for a chat, and made us feel very at home amongst the trees! Incredible little camping are, great hosts, a good time for all, we’ll be back!!
