Beautiful and friendly
We loved it here. Brenda and her husband were extremely friendly, even giving us a little tour to see their farm animals. The area was quiet, beautiful, and our site was right next to a creek so you could hear the water from the tent. The other guests were friendly, the camp sites were generously large, and the outhouses were clean and maintenanced. The only reason that I didn't give a full thumbs up for site cleanliness is that there were piles of dog poop right in front of our tent that got stepped in at least three times. Really gross and frustrating. In my opinion did should not be allowed to run off leash unless the owners look really hard for dog piles at site clean up time. Nonetheless, we would visit again and highly recommend.
We were at site 6 which had two big trees. We were on the creek but could hear it and had plenty of space. Great spots and being able to buy firewood was so helpful! Definitely will be coming back.
Brenda was a phenomenal host and the campsites were fantastic! We were a large group of 8 families, including about 15 preschool kiddos. Powder Creek Ranch was amazing and so perfect for our collective needs! The kids loved playing in the creek, visiting the animals, and running around the grounds. When we come back next year, we'll likely opt for two sites to be able to spread out a bit (and hopefully not disturb other campers bright and early again). We can't wait to come back again!!
We stayed at Powder Creek Ranch over the July 4th holiday and towed an Rpod onto the property to dry-camp. The campsites are situated at the back of the farm and are about as perfect as campsites can get. Great fire pits, picnic tables, and site #6 is more than large enough to accommodate a group of 6 people and equal amount of dogs! The hosts are fantastic, delivering the cheapest firewood around as well as good conversation and farm fresh eggs! The additional Beaver Pond and creek-side sites are equally as great. Quick 20 minute drive into Pacific City to visit Pelican Brewery and let the pups run on the beach, but aside from that we were content just relaxing on the farm grounds! Highly recommend, and we will be back!
Great camping - wonderful hosts!
We had a great weekend at the Powder Creek Ranch!
There was ample amount of room. It’s wonderful that there are only a few sites and not loaded with campers. There are ponds and creeks to fish in. Piglets, cows and roosters to see! The hosts are wonderful and would come out and see if you needed firewood and how you stay was. We really enjoyed and will back for our next adventures!
The hosts were very welcoming and the site was clean and well kept. The campsite we reserved was plenty large enough for our family of ten and easily accommodated our three tents and vehicles. Our family would not hesitate to stay again.
This is a beautiful site, surrounded with beautiful old trees & lots of wildlife! We had a blast playing in the creek, and spent the night stargazing and watching bats flying by. Our host was wonderful and welcoming. The sites weren't quite as private as we expected, but we were at campsite 6 which was more private than the creek-side sites. Although we didn't have direct access to the creek, it was not difficult to get to the creek without disturbing other campers. There are lots of Oregon trailing and cutleaf blackberry, so I imagine the berry picking will be amazing soon!
We love this place! Quiet and peaceful. Good size campsites with nice clean bathrooms. Great wood bundles for $7. We will return! Thank you Powder Creek Ranch for a great family camping experience!
