Occasionally, the best things in life don’t come in twos—they stand alone, just fine by themselves. And Kuykendall Group Campground is no exception to that mantra. Hosting just a single group campsite, this area is located in vegetative confines of Pisgah National Forest, on the western flank of the state.

You will cross a small river to get to this, can be pretty high when it rains a lot making it impassible.

I hosted a group camp for photographers last weekend and had a wonderful time. Fantastic spot. No wonder it is always booked out. I shall return.
