Have a truly sustainable experience with our Little Red Eco-Cabin. This cabin includes full/twin size bunk, super efficient rocket mass heater, and Wifi. The red cabin was built entirely from wood harvested and milled here on the property and is insulated with wool sourced as locally as we could find.
We hope our guests are also bonkers about sustainability because there are projects happening daily and many people passing through. Some of the projects include natural building (timber, cob, straw bale, earthen roof, etc), rocket heater building, planting, seed harvesting, food preservation, fermenting, etc. So, please let us know if you want to join in to learn or help out, but as a paid camper you are our honored guest and have the choice to help out, take off, or just wander around and watch the clouds pass. We can also let you know about places to visit, hike, swim, or more in the area.
For you toilet needs we have the beautiful "Willow Feeder" for your business needs! Check out our thread which showcases by googling "willow feeder wheaton labs"
Check out a youtube video on our outdoor heated showers at permies.com by googling "wheaton labs shower". It is outfitted with a wood fired, rocket hot water heater. We will be happy to fire it up for you or give you a little training lesson.
*There will be times of year, when it is below freezing during the day, that we will be unable to provide outdoor showers due to the potential for busting pipes. At these times you will be able to use the warm shower inside the house :)

Paul, Fred and Jocelyn are others are fantastic hosts and are happy to answer questions and make sure you're well taken care of. They also highly encourage campers and guests to get involved with any of the numerous projects going on, or even just take a tour of the property to learn more about permaculture and sustainable living.
