When you camp at DAR State Forest Campground, you’re sure to have a rockin’ good time. Nestled on a pretty pine ridge between Highland Lake and a scenic wetland, you might spy moose or a bear along the shore or catch a sunset from one of the many trails. Along with room for tents and RVs, there’s even a group site for a happy crew of up to 50. Venture solo or with all your friends, this campground will make your trip worthy of a standing ovation.

Excellent campsite, large plots, nice lake and hikes. This park is at significant elevation (for Mass) and it's cooler here. I also suspect it's a little wetter as well.
