Connect with nature all around you when you sleep in our 8-foot x 14-foot greenhouse.  This functional greenhouse serves as a special accommodation in the Summer and Fall seasons.

Made from recycled windows, this unique vacation rental includes two military-style cots with solar-powered LED pendant lights over each cot;  you just need to bring your own sleeping bag and pillow!

The Greenhouse includes a commercial park grill for your cooking needs and a picnic table.

This magical location is situated away from other campers so you will feel like you are camping alone (and you can relax in the glass-enclosed space without worrying about prying eyes!).

Nearby, our open-concept outhouse (complete with a 15-foot clear roof) may end up being one of your favorite spots to hang out when you are not in the greenhouse!

This is a great option for someone(s) who wants to rough it and be outdoors but not rough it totally and be outdoors completely.  The top has open spaces for venting the warm temperatures that could build up during the day.

A NOTE ON FIREWOOD:  Our land was logged in the Fall of 2020.  There is wood for years and years and years all over the place.  You might want to bring a small handsaw or a battery-operated saw of some sort or another (You are welcome to bring a charger and plug it in inside our garage).

----------

When you register, we will email you our "welcome kit" (consisting of multiple emails) with directions to the rescue, local resources, local attractions you won't find on Google, nearby hikes, and more (including the WiFi password).

----------

See our other listings!  Click on the link to "Willoughby Farm Animal Rescue" located directly above the site title (Farm Animal Rescue - The Greenhouse) to see our tent decks, group site, and RV site!

----------

Looking for something a bit more private? Embrace the forest and pitch a tent at one of our private tent decks:

a. Buddha North

b. Grandmother Pine

c. Big Sky

Each site features a large 8-foot x 10-foot raised deck, a private grill, a picnic table, and a private fire pit.

Plus you can rent a four-person tent from us!  (Stay two nights or more and we will even set it up for you!)

----------

Have a group? Our group site accommodates up to 12 campers!

----------

Have a trailer or camper van? You can park at our RV site (with a 30-amp electric hook-up and WiFi).

----------

Skip those stuffy hotels, where your room is crammed in some big square box full of other people -- or commercial campgrounds where your site is 3 feet from the others like sardines!  You won't have crowds walking by your site (or going by on bikes) checking out your set-up.

Though you might have a donkey or alpaca come by for a look.

Swim in our three ponds, relax around a campfire, gaze at the stars, take in a movie at a local drive-in, and more.

Money from your camping fees goes directly to supporting the non-profit farm animal rescue! Not only do you have a great time when you camp with us but you make a difference in the lives of abandoned and abused farm animals!

NOTE: All guests who will be visiting with us must be fully vaccinated.  Individuals are considered fully vaccinated 14 days after their final dose in a COVID-19 vaccine series.  Proof of vaccination is required. You may show either your original CDC vaccine card or a picture or photocopy of it.  Individuals who do not have proof of vaccine will be denied admission and will not receive a refund.

Scott and the farm were wonderful!! The land is beautiful and the animals are great to hang around. Scott provides a whole handbook of necessary information and great nearby attractions. It's extremely helpful and makes for a painless weekend away. The greenhouse was super cute and felt safe and sturdy. 10/10 would recommend!

Really interesting place to camp. We stayed in the green house which is lovely.

Very affordable and all the things you could desire are there. Even a spot for wifi.

Our experience at this campsite was great! We loved that the site had it's own grill so we could make a delicious dinner and the green house had a lot of charm. The animals were all super friendly as well.

This place was great, the host was great, views up at the top of the mountain were great, animals were very friendly, Lily the pig was my best friend. I would roccomend this place 100%. Just understand its a farm not a petting zoo so the animals are just strolling around. Its what makes it a great place

We went late at night but we got clear instructions from the host about the location and how to find the site. We booked the green house for the night which is built with just glass. The view of the stars at night is amazing and such a cool experience. The farm has some sheeps, donkeys and alpacas to entertain us. Overall a very good stay and would recommend. Make sure you have enough toilet paper and drinking water in hand.

Tucked away near the edge of Vermont, this cozy getaway is surrounded by gorgeous landscape just a 5 minute drive away. The host provided us with loads of information about points of interest nearby, each of which greatly enhanced our trip. And of course, the animals. I would highly recommend.

I only stayed at the greenhouse because of the hugely discounted nightly rate for this month. I would not have stayed there otherwise because of -- well to be completely frank -- the nakedness. Not that I parade around naked -- but the idea of staying in a glass-enclosed space feels totally exposed.

Boy, was I wrong about that. There were other campers here and I didn't feel exposed at all. Maybe it's because the greenhouse is on the edge of the property just a few feet from a thickly forested area. Maybe it's because the cots are low to the ground. Maybe it's because of all the plants inside the greenhouse. It was incredible. It felt spacious. It felt open. But not exposed.

The best part was when I woke up in the middle of the night, opened my eyes and the milky way came into focus. I just laid there staring at the night sky. How cool is that?

One thing that is definitely not cool is the greenhouse during the day. It does get warm in there. There are windows that open and of course the door opens, plus there are spaces along the top for air to circulate and a couple of windows were taken out for the summer. This would be a nice place to hang during a crisp fall day. But in the Summer, it’s not. Luckily there are lots to do on the property including ponds to swim in and a hundred acres to explore.

And you too should explore them if you have the time. There are lots of easy-to-follow logging roads on the 107 acres and great views to be had (the first view is nicer than the second one and it's only a 15-minute walk).

I'll be back.
