What an amazing secluded spot with so many great amenities. We had a perfect weekend exploring the area and it was such a treat to come back to our compound at night. The kids loved it as well. I’m sure we will be back. Awesome hosts as well who never left us needing anything.

Hidden Gem, Fun For Dogs And Friend

Brookside Retreat was amazing. Alicia and Kevin thought of everything. We camp alot and have alot of gear and supplies so I was skeptical that we could just show up with our clothes, dogs and food. So we packed up our "essentials " just in case. We didn't need any of it except our lanterns and flashlights. The camp really has everything. Hot water shower with biodegradable shampoo and soap. Dish washing station with dish soap, sponges, towels, cleaning wipes. A composting toilet with all supplies. Every kitchen gadget you need for cooking. Plus the pots, pans, cutlery, dishes, glasses, even wine glasses, coffee pot, tea kettle, cups, the list goes on. They provide plenty of drinking water and separate water for dishes and handwashing. Seriously, we could have left 2 big bins of stuff at home. They supply linens and towels but we brought our own since we brought our dogs with us and prefer that they mess up our own stuff!
We were 2 couples and 5 dogs, there was plenty of space to be together and also privacy if we wanted to just chill as one couple.
In addition to the campsite, the land is amazing too. Plenty of space for our dogs to romp and sniff. Long paths for walking, a big grassy area for playing, a babbling brook for splashing, this place has it all. We enjoyed our time at Brookside Retreat and are already making plans to come back.

Perfect spot!

Best glamping spot ever! We were with a mixed group - some avid campers and some who are not interesting in camping and Brookside Retreat catered to both groups perfectly. The two tents are even more spacious than the look, they mattresses are really comfy, and the cooking tent had everything you could need in it. We enjoyed warm showers and it was great to have an outhouse. For those who want to sleep in their own tents - there's lots of room to pitch yours and sleep under the stars. The convenience of Brookside retreat does not come at any sacrifice of beauty, quiet, or space though. The land itself is gorgeous and super peaceful. There were some parts of the brook deep enough to dunk in which was great on a warm sunny day. Alicia and Kevin extra kind and accommodating to my groups many questions and we're so grateful we got to stay here!

An absolute gem!

We had the pleasure of spending a couple of days at Brookside Retreat, and I can honestly say it was a truly magical experience.
The kitchen was well-equipped, making it easy to prepare meals. Every convenience was at our fingertips. And when it came to sleeping accommodations, we found the beds were incredibly comfortable and cozy, ensuring we had restful nights.
One of the highlights was the opportunity to relax and fall asleep to the soothing sounds of the brook flowing nearby. It was pure bliss.
The only downside to our stay was that it wasn’t long enough. We found ourselves wishing for more time to fully soak in the beauty and tranquility that Brookside Retreat has to offer. It’s truly the ideal Vermont getaway! We left with our hearts full and a longing to return.

This was such a lovely experience! Kevin and Alicia are extremely hospitable and thoughtful. We had our dog with us and they had set up some dog bowls with a little treat in there for her! We are so happy to have spent the night in that beautiful place and will definitely be back someday!

This place was truly an amazing retreat! We loved it so much and our pups loved it as well! The sound of the stream running was soothing and very calming! The hosts were amazing everything was clean and they even left the pups a cute and delicious treat! We would definitely stay again! Great place to stay and relax!!

It will be difficult not to overstate how good this experience was for us. Great communication from Kevin and Alicia including clear instruction as well as a map. There's a communal barn that includes coffee and a complimentary smores kit. When you arrive at the site there's a tented outdoor toilet, a prep station with equipment, a firepit with cooking surface, and the tent itself with two beds and bedding. The fleece blanket on the bed probably saved us from a chilly night! We got around in the dark easily with a provided LED lantern.
There's a more than generous amount of firewood. We built a fire the night of our stay and the following morning.
We would love to come back should be ever be up that way again. Thanks for providing such a good experience. All the best to you both. Good luck with the Christmas tree farm 😉

We had a great time camping and the Anderson Key Farm! It was clean and the tent was cozy. The solar lights were a great touch. We bicycled to the campsite, so having everything set up already was amazing. Our dog loved playing in the creek. Bug spray came in handy.

Family fun and memories

All I can say is fantastic, so much family fun time. Made such good memories and great not to have the kids on their devices. Stars are so beautiful, and fireflies just completed the experience. Kevin and Alicia are such great hosts. This is our second year which tells you how much we love this place. We actually booked both camp sites and the farmhouse suite. The farm can handle a very large family. The older ones stayed In the air conditioned suite, the adults had luxury beds in the tents and the young ones had their own tents and cots. We spent hours on the river, bring your tubes, and start creating family memories.

Glamming camping at its best !!!
This is our second year at the farm but our first year at this camp site, and as a family we had expanded to both camp sites and the farm house suite. I would encourage the larger families to do this. This camp site is beautiful, shaded and there is nothing better than lying in bed hearing the water. There are still some great additions happening at the farm. Every year getting better and better. This is truly good value for your money. Super comfy definitely glamping at its best. Alicia and Kevin are so accommodating going above and beyond with all the extras like cupcakes for the Birthday boy and sparklers for the 4th July . They also provide s’mores for the campfires and hot cocoa for the kids. It’s our 10 year olds favorite pick for his birthday better than any party he tells us Bring a tube and float down the white river, so much fun. We will be back again year after year

Another great stay!
This was our second year summer stay at Skyview Escape and we will be coming back year after year. Alicia and Kevin our incredible hosts! We were welcomed with a personalized note, some snacks and socks. Their hospitality is incredible! The site is so clean, beautiful, and has every amenity we could have possibly needed. The bed is so comfortable, I wish my bed at home was that cozy! And it rained on one of the days that we stayed, but that didn’t stop us from having the best time. The barn was filled with games, coffee, and hot chocolate. We spent a good amount of time having fun in there, it was a great additional space to the property. We also dipped our toes in the creek and had plenty of firewood for each night. It was a 10/10 experience. Thanks so much Alicia and Kevin for another great summer stay! See you next year :)

The Brookside Retreat was perfect for us + our pup. The site is quiet and feels secluded despite being close to everything you’d need and a quick drive to Woodstock for hiking/lunch. Alicia and Kevin went above and beyond to make the site comfortable and supply all the cooking supplies, firewood, coffee in the barn, etc. We would LOVE to stay again!

Cozy on a cold fall day

Skyview Escape was a perfect getaway on a cold fall day. We brought our heavy duty sleeping bags and were not cold at night despite the temp dipping down to 40F. The place was real cozy and meticulous. Very clean, even the bathroom! We would love to return in the summer to hang out in the brook~

Kevin and Alicia’s place was really beautiful and comfortable, and the site came equipped with everything needed! This place is a great option if you’re camping with a dog. Mine loved having the open space to play fetch. The location feels very secluded (in a good way) but it’s also close to some very cute towns. Thanks for having us!

Babbling Brook with owl calls
This camp was super super comfortable and easy. No work camping. The skies are very dark here and there were lovely owl calls. I loved the toilet tent and the coffee barn. The hosts went out of their way to accommodate a late arrival for us and had our campsitelit up and magical. 10/10 highly recommend!

What a beautiful site! You can tell the owners put great care into their property, and that care extends to their guests. We were greeted with a welcome package of s’mores, treats and a ball for our dog, as well as, other thoughtful and needed gifts for myself and my son. Truly, we felt so welcome by such personalized and thoughtful gifts! Thank you!
The site itself is lovely. Clean and well thought out layout. The bed is a king size and comfortable. Our hosts left lots of extra blankets. Reclining chairs in the tent, area carpets and led candles for coziness. Twinkling lights everywhere around the site. The lights lining the little bridge over the brook were especially magical.
There is a fire pit up by the tent and one down by the brook. Our hosts already had firewood ready for us when we arrived. The campfire by the brook is especially beautiful and peaceful!
There is a covered picnic table area with plenty of utensils and water. Extra chairs for sitting around the fire.
We never got a chance to go into the barn for coffee but I’m sure it was as charming as the rest of the place.
There is a road in the distance in which you can hear cars go by once in a while, but it’s relatively faint. You feel secluded and surrounded by nature. Mostly, we just heard owls at night.
Truly magical experience! Very relaxing. You feel well cared for here in this beautiful place. We would definitely come back! Thank you Kevin and Alicia for everything!!

Magical getaway spot
What a beautiful spot to camp! Kevin and Alicia have a beautiful property that feels private despite being pretty close to the road. They have the campsite stocked with everything you could need and much more, and they were very communicative and made sure we were comfortable for our overnight stay. The view of the stars at night was excellent and it is very quiet, just sounds of wildlife and the babbling brook. We enjoyed it very much, thanks Kevin and Alicia!

Absolutely loved our stay at the sky view site. The owners keep the property well maintained, plenty of items to utilize while there and the bed was super comfy after spending a day on a motorcycle. It’s quite secluded and the s’mores kit was a perfect little treat. We cannot wait to go back.

Brookside Retreat is a True Gem!

This site is perfect! Kevin and Alicia have thought about everything for the perfect stay. The property is beautiful, quiet, and secluded. The extra touches were thoughtful and appreciated. We had brought some of our favorite camping gear, but did not need any of it. We arrived to a lovely table setting next to the tent, the fire pit was loaded and ready to lite, pillows and linens neatly on the beds, surprises for our pup, coffee, smores, and so much more!!! The surrounding brook was so peaceful to listen to while falling asleep and waking up. A true gem. Would highly recommend.

What a magical weekend to say the least. Our hosts went above and beyond for my birthday weekend with my girlfriends. We were so touched by all the little details Alicia left for us. It really made it such a personal experience where it felt like our host knew us. Additionally anything we asked for they easily provided. Great hosts!! The site was clean, fully loaded with anything you may need or want. Plus the barn has amazing amenities too! Tucked away in a great location for days on the river and or antiquing. You’re pretty close to a lot of great spots but still feel like you’re far away from no where. Would come back again and have already told friends about this magical camp site and how much they got to come and experience it themselves!!

Clamp camp in the middle of nature

What a fabulous place for an outdoor trip. The Brooke had lots of small trout. The campsite had everything we needed and I do mean everything, and they made it very special for our 9 year olds birthday. Cup cakes and cards and candles. The lights were magnificent all around the camp and the fireflies topped off the visit at night. Everything just twinkled. Hummingbirds visited us during the day and the owls called to each other at night. Campfires in two places one near the tent and one down by the stream which was only steps away from both tents. We would come home late afternoon and soak our feet in the cool clean water,.
We thoroughly enjoyed the hot coffee and hot chocolate in the mornings and s’mores at night (all supplied by our wonderful hosts Kevin and Alicia).
I can’t give this camp enough credit or stars it was the best glamp camp ever, you really have to go to appreciate it. Close by is the white river, great for swimming or tubing, we did both and then spent a day at the Queechee gorge and national park. Plenary of fun things to do. We spent 4 days and could have easily stayed longer
We hope to be back soon.

This was a magical place to camp. My husband and two dogs were spoiled with all the extras Alicia included to make us feel at home. Lots of information provided on the property and the area, two beds pushed together to make a comfy king, reclining chairs and regular collapsible chairs, fire pit and firewood, picnic table, kitchenware…our pups even got complimentary tennis balls! All while listening to the babbling brook that surrounded us. Highly recommend!
