This is perfect for my family. The cabin itself is super cozy. It's fun to be on the farm and there are good short hikes on the property. Also, don't miss The Local Blend coffee shop in St. Joseph nearby. 100% recommended.

This was our second stay and I immediately booked a third. The cabin itself is cozy and comfortable. It's also well appointed; you really only need to bring your own food and clothes. The farm is on acreage that provides great hikes, and is handy to the Wobegon bike trail. Our kids love the farm. The hosts are the best.

This place is great! It's in a beautiful, secluded spot among wooded hills on the back acres of a dairy farm. There are extensive and interesting trails for hiking. The cabin is basic, but perfect. The outhouse was very clean and everything was well maintained. I'm going back as soon as I can. Pro tip: firewood is supplied but bring firestarters and newspaper.

We love it here. It's such a beautiful spot and the hosts are kind but also respectful of privacy. Wholeheartedly recommend!

What a pleasant place to spend a couple of nights! The Roost was very comfortable despite the fact that it was hot and super humid outside.

The Roost is well appointed with a bed with sheets and a bedspread, small fridge and freezer, hot and cold water and basic cooking supplies.

It's not secluded, but the grounds are beautiful and pleasantly park-like. Our hosts were so thoughtful -- especially with helping abet my daughter's fascination with the chickens.

My family and I had a great time. The cabin is beautiful. The farm is fantastic with a lot of interesting hikes. And our hosts were warm and lovely. Breakfast was fantastic -- don't miss it!

We loved the well-equipped, private camping area with RV camper. The grounds include a hobby farm, small dog park, and a park-like area with a hammock, swinging chair and lots of shade. We all loved it, especially our kids aged 7 and 12. If you're looking for something different, give this place a try.
