Great COVID-19 getaway! But PLEASE do NOT come if you are showing symptoms as I am in the high risk category. I am keeping guests out of the main house during this pandemic, but can get you potable water, etc. from the kitchen. This is NOT a campground! This is "camping in my garden" with lots of privacy.

Your Private Shangri-La! This Serene, Peaceful Retreat from the world has a restorative quality that is almost magical. Relax by the fire, stroll through the woods, meditate by the creek side, watch the fireflies bring the stars to earth or entrance yourself in the brilliance of the galaxy above. Nature trail beside the creek that leads into the yard that has a communal campfire area, gardens, a hammock, and play areas for the children. Private dog park for your pooches! Listen to the music of the crickets, wake up to white doves flying and horses grazing beside your personal camp.

Tiny house (dry) that can accommodate up to 4 people. "Dreamin' Tiny" has heat, air conditioning and a television for rainy days! Garden Cottage on the other side of the dog park may also be available and sleeps up to 5 people. Large site will accommodate up to five tents, but we only allow one cohesive group at a time, so it is your private camp. :-) This is a completely outfitted base camp. Anything you may have forgotten is probably already at Camp, just replace Leave no trace camp - bring up your garbage and biologic waste and leave it as you found it. $30 cleaning fee if you do NOT leave Camp clean! If using the outhouse at Camp you must bring your waste in a plastic bag to the main house garbage area. There is also an outhouse over the septic system available.

$5 additional per person or pet thereafter. Camp can accommodate up to 20 people.

Camp and the farm are always in flux  - life is all about change.  The creek does flood but never gets to Camp. We do have storms here, so just be aware of the weather, road closures and whatever the county is up to now on the right of way!  LOL  :-D

First of all, this site necessitates zero camping supplies besides yourself and your food! This site is a vacation getaway - Bev and Bob are genuinely hospitable, fascinating and delightful people. We were greeted and shown around their delightful home (their upstairs is also available for stays, as well as their campsite!), where they have a full breakfast table with coffee, tea, snacks. Bev even made us cinnamon rolls for the morning. After we toured, and got settled into our RV (where campers stay!), they recommended we go to the nearby winery, Four Daughters. We loved it. Our sleep was restful, and the full accommodation and amenities were worth much more than their price. Above average host and stay!

We loved the well-equipped, private camping area with RV camper. The grounds include a hobby farm, small dog park, and a park-like area with a hammock, swinging chair and lots of shade. We all loved it, especially our kids aged 7 and 12. If you're looking for something different, give this place a try.

Out kids loved feeding oats to the resident horses.A lazy creek runs through the common park area.

We had a great time at Whispering Winds! Our dogs had the best time exploring all the smells and sights in a safe, enclosed area. We were so thankful to be able to open our tent in the morning and know they could safely run out without being leashed. Plus the off leash dog park was right next door, although we always double checked to make sure a chicken hadn’t snuck in! Beverly’s animals are all so friendly and the pony is a hoot! Close enough to some state parks that we were able to enjoy the perks of”traditional camping” with the privacy of a Hipcamp site. Thanks again. We were more than happy and had a great time!!

Whispering Winds was WONDERFUL! We stayed in the garden cottage, which had a great setup: beds, mini-fridge, microwave, coffee maker, etc. This turned out to be providential, as it rained the whole weekend. BUT that didn't stop me and my boys from having fun. We enjoyed meeting all of Bev's animals (the goats, the horse, the donkey, the doves, the ducks, a chicken, koi, three cats and a dog). My kiddos even helped Bev with some of the farm chores--they loved feeding the animals. And at night--oh, the night! Fireflies EVERYWHERE. It was truly magical. The location is great, too, as it's near Mystery Cave State Park. We had access to a fire ring, indoor and outdoor toilets, hammocks, a tree fort, a propane grill, a charcoal grill...everything, and I mean EVERYTHING you could possibly need. If you are considering staying at Bev's farm, DO IT. I promise you will have a wonderful, relaxing time. :)

Our group stayed at the woods edge camp site. We really enjoyed the privacy and the little extra's that the host provided. You can truly pack your tent and go. The host was very friendly and made several great suggestions for local visits. We enjoyed visiting the four daughters winery for their annual grape stomping event and dinner at a local pizza farm. The kids enjoyed roaming the grounds and petting the animals, especially the donkey. You can really get inspirational ideas from the host's reuse of materials like the tiny house made of pallets and the little whimsical touches all over the farm. The host has a wealth of knowledge about gardening and fossils and she is happy to share. Truly magical, we will return!

I have only few words to describe this place - magical, fantasyland turned to reality and amazing.
First off Beverly was beyond accommodating. When she learned we were reaching late instead of a tent that we needed to pitch she gave us one of the cabins. The cabin was straight out of Goldilocks - a fishing cabin turned into a mini house equipped with sofa bed, loft bed, closet, fridge and TV. You wake up to a glass window overlooking horses, goats and lush green. The courtyard has a cute little bbq area, mini bathrooms, small campfire area to sit around and a giant dog park. The goats feel they are dogs and come for pets. The lake nearby (and owned by her) is filled with ducks and the trees around are pretty. Yes its also a one stop shop for all camping amenities as mentioned in other reviews but the other things are important to note, other being ones mentioned above. Beverly's house is extremely creative, making the camping site a magical place. We will definitely return or more so just come here to get away from nyc and camp.

You are close to civilization, BUT Wood's Edge is secluded and so you can enjoy privacy . You have your little retreat where you can relax while watching suirrels, frogs, grashopper and the farm animals. We liked especially Thomas, a beautiful cat.
The camp offers everything you need and Beverly is a very friendly host. All in all we had a good time and would like to come back!
Best greets from Germany, Andrea and Peter

No need to whisper, Whispering Winds is a great choice for campers! We had a group stay at the Woods Edge site over memorial weekend. Beverly was excellent at responding to our questions prior to our check in as well as attentive during our stay. Since we had three families in our group during covid-19, she didn’t rent out her other site on the property so we didn’t have to worry as much about other people in shared spaces.

The kids loved watching, feeding, and even taking some pictures with the animals on the farm. The play area was fabulous for free play. Since the property is quite surrounded by the creek and fencing, the adults could relax without hovering over the kids.

The Woods edge site itself was quite accommodating for our group. We set up three large tents and still had room. We thoroughly enjoyed using the outdoor kitchen. The tiny home was well equipped with mini fridge, toaster, coffee machine, microwave, and kitchen basics. If anything was an issue, Beverly was able to help.

Our only downside was that the fencing was not secure enough to keep the curious pups inside. We ended up using tie-outs for our dogs and felt bad that a couple plants may have been damaged in the process.

Upsides were her garden tractor and trailer to haul gear in and out as well as trades. We were able to help clear some downed trees for her and subsequently got to use as firewood. We already have plans to return. Thanks Beverly!
