Pleasant Places campground is clean, quiet, spacious, and private with lots of nooks for R&R as well as ample space for play and activities. It is an ideal location for large groups, and in order to keep the camp private, larger groups are given priority. Centrally located and with 10 acres of field, forest and farm, there is something of interest for everyone.
In camp you will find a rustic kitchen, two 6' picnic tables, and a fire pit with accessories. There is a resource area with an electrical outlet, a water hose, and a five gallon jug for your use. We have solid firewood bundles as well as fresh eggs for sale and lawn games and hammocks are available to rent.
While the campsite, play field, and driveway loops are mowed, most of the grounds are wild so bring your tromping shoes. No city lights here, the stargazing is amazing!
You'll enjoy communing with the farm animals, the goats are especially hands on and love the attention campers give them, while the chickens and ducks are mostly just fun to observe. The local fauna include deer, skunk, coyote, rabbit, weasel, and possum--bear and cat are not common, but please do be conscientious about leaving food out.
While there isn't water on the property, Mayfield, Ike Kinswa, and Riffe lakes are all 20-30 minutes from here and provide lots of boating, swimming, and fishing opportunities. Just five minutes down the road, Carlisle Lake offers walking trails, outdoor exercise equipment, fishing, summer concerts, and a playground for the kids.
If you're looking to explore the area, Mt Rainier, Mt St Helens, the East Side, and the Pacific Coast are all just day trips from here. We are midway between Portland and Seattle and just 15 minutes off of I-5 making Pleasant Places a perfect meet in the middle getaway.
We are Judy and Summer and Chula, mother and daughter and dog, and we are pleased you are considering a stay with us. If you do book, we are certain youâll enjoy making Pleasant Places your outdoor home-away-from-home. Hope to see you on the farm!

Cold plunge in the creek, commune with our bee colony, view the eagle family, and try to find our parrot, Hercules, in the magnificent walnut tree that our great-grandmother planted over 100 years ago.
Along the creek, you will find conveniences such as two cooking grills, a fire pit and benches, a sink with a rubble drain, pavers to the creek, and lots of space to set up your lawn games, tent, or RV.
Heated outdoor showers, a six-person hot tub, an additional fire pit with seating, and a well-appointed outhouse dot the camp boundary and ensure that you will enjoy all the comforts while making great memories.
Midway between Portland and Seattle, Kearney Creek is just 20 minutes off I-5 and 20 minutes from numerous boating, fishing, and swimming opportunities. We are just 90 minutes to Mt St Helen's, Mt Rainier, the Pacific Coast, and the Eastside so make this your base camp and go play!
P.S. Your friendly neighbor to the south is my sister Shannon. She works from home so you may see her pass through her backyard from time to time. Please split the yard with her and remain on your side? She'll do the same for you. Rest assured, the hot tub, etc. are exclusively for your use.

x6 NEW Molalla Ripple Site 6
in Molalla Ripple, OregonGreat space and gracious host!
Great space and gracious host! Calves leaping in the morning sun, tree tops swaying in the breeze and waking up right on the river were the sweetest moments. We camped in late February and James had put down straw to keep the site clean and dry which was much appreciated as well as made extra accommodations for us.
Spacious Woodland Getaway
in Spacious, Wooded Campsite, Hookups, WashingtonWe brought in the 2021 new year in this great little space... very clean, very cozy, with very accommodating hosts, and we were enamored with the cemetery. Did not love that we could hear the traffic but If you need a place close to amenities this is a sweet little spot.
