in Camp WagMore, CaliforniaThe drive up the dirt road to the campsites was a little harrowing at times but you should be able to make it with any car. There are two places you'd want to camp, by the water station or where the old fire pit used to be. Not super flat but you can find places to pitch a tent, or set up a hammock (lots of trees). Lori gave us directions for a hike beyond the dirt road and the views are pretty great. Very close day drive to Morro bay and MontaĂąa de Oro. It's very primitive camping, but for the price and to have so much land to yourself and your friends is what it's all about.

Get a annual adventure parking pass and you can camp for free! Really easy hike to a waterfall with not a lot of people.

It fills up during the summer! There is a hiker/biker walk in section of camping though.
