Chestnuts Landing
in Destination Farnch, New YorkBlend of nature & accessibility
Chestnut Landing Campground is just perfect for families with curious kids who love climbing, exploring, and splashing around in the swim holes. This was my second time visit to the property, and one thing that stood out to me for this particular campground was how close the campground is to the road, giving a reassuring feeling to newcomers. The road noise actually helps to make the place feel cozy rather than too isolated. However, I must admit, the car sounds can be a bit distracting at night, but fear not - the sites further inside the property are nice and quiet!
This campground is spacious, well-kept, and has a lovely private feel to it, making our stay super comfy. The rocks around the swim holes are a treasure trove for little adventurers to explore and have a blast. Plus, Mike, the owner, is a gem! His thoughtful touches like the dish rest by the fire grill add a touch of charm to the whole experience.
In a nutshell, Chestnut Landing Campground is the ultimate blend of nature and convenience, making it a top pick for families craving a fun camping trip. Don't let the road noise deter you - the beauty and welcoming vibe of the campground more than make up for it. Our time there was simply wonderful, and I can't recommend it enough to families looking for an unforgettable outdoor escape!

in Burr Oaks Forest secluded campsites, New YorkPositive energy
Loved every moment of my visit.
The land is beautiful and campgrounds are thoughtfully located. I spent time meditating, cooking and going on short hikes, dipped in the pondâs swim whole while and enjoyed talking to Michael and Laura who were the kindest hosts. You could feel their contagious positive energy throughout the campsite. I could not stop smiling while I was there.
La Lu Farm Goat Yurt
in La Lu Farm camp site, VermontComfy stay w/ sweet family & goats
Constancia is a super host!! She and her family and her dog aaand her goats are super friendly and gracious hosts. They took the time to show us around the farm and made us feel welcomed. The yurt was comfy and cozy and we enjoyed cooking on the fire and listening to the sound of the brook.
