Past trip
in Rocky Canyon Ranch, CaliforniaStayed here with my partner and our dog for a little weekend getaway and had a wonderful time. Loved seeing all the farm animals and having all the amenities we could have hoped for. Everything was easy to find and well sign posted and the location was great for exploring a little of SLO, Paso, and Atascadero.
Past trip
in Juniper Valley Campsites, CaliforniaLike other reviews already say: 1) the view from this campsite is GORGEOUS 2) Alex was super helpful and communicative. We had a long drive and arrived late around 11pm. The GPS coordinates in hipcamp are slightly past the turnoff to the property, which we realised pretty quickly, but Alex still came out to greet us with a headlamp. Beautiful night sky (lucky to have a new moon and no clouds) and the site is private so we happily slept without a rain fly to enjoy the stars and the sun rise over mount shasta. Having the picnic table was a big plus.

Kindred Spirits Cabin
in Kindred Spirits Horse Farm, OregonMy friend and I stayed with Nicky for a night as part of a larger roadtrip through northern california and southern oregon and had an amazing stay! As my friend Amanda put it, "some places just feel *good*" and Nicky's ranch is definitely one of them. Super easy to find, even though we showed up after dark and the cabin itself was very comfortable. We loved the convenience of the cooking area, (though we didn't actually use it beyond having some granola in the morning) as well as the shower. We had a slow morning because it was hard to leave such a beautiful place -- loved the horses and getting to chat with Nicky. Would definitely come back in a heartbeat.
Past trip
in Eel River Escape, CaliforniaStopped here on the first night of a weeklong roadtrip up the coast and couldn't have started the trip on better footing! The tent itself is beautiful, clean and cozy and had lots of thoughtful touches like an extra flashlight to take along to the sink and shower area on the opposite end of the property. Season is super friendly and came and greeted us and showed us how the shower worked even though we arrived late in the evening. We also enjoyed meeting all the animals: a cat, a parrot, and three dogs! all very friendly. There is some poison oak on the property which is something to be mindful of, but is avoidable and wasn't an issue for us.
Laura hasn't gone on any trips yet.
Hipcamp Hosts can leave an optional review of their Hipcampers after the trip is completed. This is where those reviews from Hipcamp Hosts will appear.
