The property is greatâhuge, well manicured, camp toilets available, water at the main house available, and TONS of firewood. Also, very kind, accommodating hosts. We will definitely be coming back in the future!
R&L Farm
in Camp Whispering Pines, IllinoisAwesome place! awesome host!
Russâ place is a great place to camp, and I will be coming back. The sites are clean, spacious, level, and private. Thereâs also potable water, a shower, a super clean port-a-pot and wash station, and electricity.
Most of all, Russ was an extremely generous and accommodating host. He made us feel welcomed, and he never hesitated to accommodate any of our questions. He also never allowed our supply of firewood to run too low.
Again, Russâ property is an awesome place to camp. I will definitely be coming back. I highly recommend it.

Meredithâs place is great, and I highly recommend it. The spaces for camping are quiet, private (away from the main buildings), and appropriately close to the bathroom. She also offers access to potable water. The fire pit has picnic tables and even a couple of folding chairs. The horses and the train are a pretty cool touch, too. We also appreciate Meredithâs âleave everything betterâ message; we should all try our very best to camp by it.
All in all, we had a great time and will likely come back.
Camp #2 - The Terrace
in Mulln-Heim Vineyards, MichiganIdeal private camp site!
Hereâs what we liked most: private, spacious, awesome kitchen station, great fire pit, dedicated toilet, potable water, good location (near beach, wineries), view of the vineyard, and a private trail.
Also, John, the host, was extremely welcoming, accommodating, and a generally interesting guy to talk with. Weâre grateful to have met him and will definitely be coming back to his camp!
