Even though we arrived in a torrential downpour, it was nice to pitch the tent on soft grass in Macadamia Nut Orchard. Xander, the bull dog patrolled the perimeter of the campsite to keep the wild pigs away. The half bath is located on the outside of the main house. The unique lava stone shower was nice and clean. The only drawback is the bathroom and shower are quite a distance away from the camping area. The hosts were friendly. Overall we had a great experience even though the weather was horrific.
It was an interesting experience to sleep in a hammock. I didn’t realize that I could adjust the height of hammock and was uncomfortable at first. You have to like listening to the sounds of birds and other nighttime animals. The roof was pretty noisy for light sleepers during rainstorm. Perks are communal living room and kitchen with outdoor grill.
Great alternative to staying here instead of a hotel. Greg does his best at making you feel welcomed. Comfortable bed and plenty of room in bedroom with its own desk and sink. You share bathroom equipped with shower, sink and living room & full equipped outdoor kitchen where you can meet with other guests. Fresh fruit from his tree was an added benefit
