Tiny House in Hidden Field
in Moonstorm Farm, VermontPotential, but not ready for guests
Jace P.has mixed feelings towards this listing.
I just needed a spot to put my sleeping bag and have a fire, so we thought this little shelter would be perfect. I booked last minute with "instant book" hoping they saw, but I don't think they were quite ready for us (or any guests). We had an interesting first meeting because we weren't expected. Host was friendly and let us stay anyway, but not in the one we booked. We stayed in the attic crawlspace of a nearby building and no fire pit. It wasn't finished or cleaned or anything (slept among the broken glass, cobwebs, and mouse poop)... it was a pretty basic shelter the owner built which was neat, but not inhabitable. We liked it because it was funny and we're minimalists, but it was kind of odd to spend $25 to stay in an attic crawlspace. Makes me wonder what the other one looked like if an attic crawlspace was the favorable option. I don't want this to be a negative review though... The whole property is neat with lots of potential and the host was friendly, but I probably would've rather been turned away and found a spot somewhere else, and might have asked to leave if we weren't so tired.

Past trip
in Healing Springs, North CarolinaJace P.has mixed feelings towards this listing.
Pros:
- It has a neat "haunted" old-timey feel and decor.
- The spring water is delicious.
- They have a little "honor system" shop at the office for essentials and snacks.
- Interesting history.
- Comfortable space upstairs.
Cons:
- There's a dog fee, which I didn't see in the listing (but to be fair, it is mentioned if you expand the "amenities"), but there's no "pet fee" add-on, so it's very easy to miss. Had to pay extra for my 2 dogs upon arrival.
- The downstairs of the barn loft (where the kitchen and bathroom are) is VERY cold in the winter. There's a baseboard heater, but it doesn't do anything. So we didn't end up doing anything down there, we didn't even shower because it was too cold.
- Other guests get confused on where to check in and end up knocking on our door because it's the first door before the check-in area, so that cuts into your privacy.

#1 Longleaf Grove
in Blackwater Birds and Bees, VirginiaReally great spots, super private and on a beautiful property. Great little shop too. I got the Zuni Napalm hot sauce, a sweet hat, and some persimmon wine. All great homemade stuff. That sauce is true to it's name! Hosts we're so nice and accommodating for our last minute booking and late night arrival. Would definitely come back!
Past trip
in Spyglass Ridge Winery, PennsylvaniaPictures don't do it justice!
The pictures don't do this place justice. Awesome spot on top of a hill next to a vineyard and a fun winery/brewery, with a wonderful sunset view. Great food and drinks here too. It was great to be able to have a meal and a few drinks after a long drive, and then mosey on over to the campsite afterwards. It's a big field for those who don't need electricity, but we found it to be plenty private and could easily find a spot far enough from the other campers (only one other was there). And whoever is in charge of the music at the restaurant is killing it!

What an amazing spot! Each site is private and the sounds of nature are incredible. The fireflies were so neat. Super cool history of the property too! Just ask Mel when you get there. Mel was an awesome host who really cares about the property and he's a wicked nice and helpful guy... He made our short stopover a memorable experience. I highly recommend! One of the best hipcamps I've been to thanks to Mel and the work he does to maintain the sites without sacrificing the natural beauty we look for when camping.

in Pool Moroccan Tent close to Beach, FloridaWow... This place was incredible. I've always wanted to go to Morocco, and being in this tent made it feel like I was actually there. Every little detail was perfect, all authentic decor. Love the candles, awesome atmosphere, best sleep I've had in a long time. Nice private area too. Host was very nice and accommodating. Definitely one of my favorite hipcamps/airbnb's so far! Soooo worth it!!!!

in Camp in the woods, New HampshireAwesome dog-friendly private spot.
Awesome huge private spot, secluded but close to everything. The road in is a bit rough, definitely need high clearance for the deep ponding, but my rwd sprinter van got in fine. Michael even came by to drive me through to make sure I was comfortable getting in. My girlfriend and 3 dogs had a great time, and the trails are perfect for a quiet nature walk. We'll definitely be coming back.

I had a great experience here. Beautiful, peaceful, secluded property in rural MS. Only 15 min to Piscayune if you need anything, but feels like you're miles from civilization. Great little trail in the woods on the property too. All the hookups if needed, or primitive if preferred. Wayne was a very accommodating and friendly host and shared his local knowledge of attractions and nature in the area. I'd definitely come back!

Host was super nice and accommodating. I made a mistake and didn't realize the site I booked was tent only, but they let me stay in the (currently unfinished ) rv area they're working on. It's a great spot! He even came out to meet me to build me a fire pit and they brought us some adirondack chairs. I was able to go down to the water and check out the campsite down there and it's great, I would highly recommend! One of the nicest hosts I've met so far.
