The site is on smooth hills surrounded by farmland and wind turbines, with plenty of secluded spots to pitch a tent. Be sure to go on Matthew’s tour of the underground silo!

The tipi was an awesome experience—like a giant tent that doesn’t need setup/tear down.
The sites were sparsely occupied, so there was much more breathing room than at a nat’l park.
The views were pretty incredible, and don’t miss a chance to climb the rocks for a higher vantage point—though take care with the sometimes crumbly layers.
