in Heirloom Acres, MichiganBackroad haven all to yourself.

There are many places to camp in the Sleeping Bear area, but if you really want a quiet, out-of-the-way spot all to yourself (except maybe a few wild turkeys), then this spot is a good bet. Easy access, first rate outhouse and camp furnishings, and overall just a very peaceful and easy place. Good hammock hang is possible.

Ed K.recommends this listing.
I am a repeat camper here, because I enjoy the site, the general location and easy communication with the host. Plenty of animals on the farm if youâre interested, and great bird viewing on the property. Thereâs more here than I make use of, but it makes a terrific simple overnight or stay for a few days.

This was a fine no-frills camping site for me in a 12-ft trailer in an area where I've had a hard time finding affordable camping. Bring everything you will need, and good idea to base out of here for exploring the local area. The site is still being developed so surfaces are uneven but driveable.

This place has the best vibe and super-nice hosts⌠especially a treat if youâre there with some live music at the cozy personal venue. The site access is easy, right off the road, and lots of space to maneuver on solid ground. About 20 minutes to amenities in Panama City. Just down the road to local springs, Econfina Creek, and miles of footpath portion of the Florida Trail.

Ed K.recommends this listing.
The site is still a work in progress but has fine potential. Very easy access from highway, nice natural feel and views across the marsh. Location is x10! If you paddle, hike, or want to pedal miles and miles on designated bike paths. Beach, marsh, forest, swamp are all nearby, plus food and drink. Good Verizon signal. Gulf Specimen Lab is also a few blocks away in Panacea.

This site worked well for me on a 2-night stay. In a fairly quiet area near Perry, close to town and amenities. Host communicated well and was very helpful. I appreciated an affordable option in this area. A little hard to pinpoint the right location & wound up asking a friendly neighbor for help. I would stay again but not sure every camper would feel comfortable & safe here.

Ed K.recommends this listing.
This was a very nice, clean, neatly kept backyard/hobby farm site super-convenient to I-10. Very cool open-air barn/pavilion next to site. Hosts were friendly and communicated well, I felt comfortable safe and relaxed.
Very easy drive from here to St Maryâs River for paddling trips!

Spent 3 nights here in Feb and found it to be nicely quiet, well maintained, and an easy base camp for the area. Hosts were super nice and checked each day to be sure if I needed anything. It looks like a lot more goes on here in-season, being a large campground area hosting tents, RVs, and cabins, with a camp store and maybe a bistro (I didnât go looking for it but I think they serve meals, etc). I would go back!
