Site 4 - Tent Camp at Vegan Animal Sanctuary
in Starlove Ranch & Animal Sanctuary, TexasLovely stay
We were in site 4 which was tucked in and nice and private. The sunset was lovely and the pigs and farm dogs were so friendly. I brought my dog and he had the time of his life adventuring with Shasta (the farm dog that will check in on you frequently).
Site 11
in 5D RANCH, TexasJulie was great and nice and helpful. The property is beautiful. Site 9 was really nice and private. We had a lovely hike and enjoyed a pleasant paddle around the lake in one of the free boats. Honestly my only complaint is with other hipcampers. I spent the first 10 minutes cleaning up trash left by the previous campers. They threw eggshells in the trees, left little pieces here and there. The grossest thing was they left a pile of soiled toilet paper just out in the open. The campers to the north of us screamed and yelled and played their music obnoxiously loud. Julie was apologetic and tried to remedy the noise situation. Also, and this was probably my fault as deer hunting season just started, but we ate dinner to the sound of shotguns and yapping hunting dogs at distant properties which is just not ideal. So, I would recommend but just a reminder to all that we go camping to enjoy peace and nature and a natural environment. So please pick up your trash. Even compostables and food scraps. Be courteous to other campers. Keep the noise down. Read a book.
