We had a great time relaxing, reading, and cooking around the cabin during our weekend getaway. The gas fireplace kept the space comfortably warm during the chilly nights we were there. The property is super close to Nevada City and by some really great hikes making it a great basecamp to explore from.

Staying on Judi and Walter’s cannabis farm is a one-of-a-kind glamping experience. They were gracious hosts who made sure we had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. Walter gave us a tour around the cannabis farm and was very enthusiastic and passionate when telling us about the earth conscious and regenerative practices they used to grow their plants. Judi cooked us a delicious dinner with ingredients that were sourced straight from the farm.

The property was beautiful with tree swings to relax in and animals to meet in the daytime. At night we got to make some s’mores around the fire pit while stargazing and chatting with farm crew. We had a peaceful night’s sleep under the warm covers and with our extra pillows on the king sized bed. Each tent also had it’s own private bathroom with shower and sink.

Make sure to ask Judi about the swimming hole nearby, it’s a great spot to cool off in the river and escape the afternoon heat. Also be sure to get the farm to table meal, you won’t be disappointed! We look forward to coming back with friends so they can enjoy the farm like we did.

Come here if you want to have a spiritual retreat and recharge yourself under some amazing oak trees. The atmosphere here was super relaxed, perfect for a weekend getaway from the city. There is a nice running river that is perfect for taking a dip in if you are up for it, you can even dry off and sunbathe on the sand beaches that run along side it! There was also a group fire pit that looked great for roasting some smores, unfortunately we didn't get a chance use it since the wind was blowing a little too hard. The warm shower was a nice touch to rinse off with before heading to the kitchen to grill up some burgers. Definitely try to get the campsite under the oak tree if you can, it's such a unique experience to sleep cocooned under the branches like we did.

Overall, John has created a magical place and I hope we get a chance to come back here some day!

Had an amazing time staying here! Sleeping in a tipi at the Wishing Well Mini Ranch was one to the most amazing, unique, and peaceful experiences I have ever had. Kim was a super awesome host that made sure to give us a tour of his amazing mini ranch and introduce us to all the animals when we arrived.

The tipi itself was decorated beautifully by Kim's wife Kiva and definitely had a cozy relaxing atmosphere. We had a fully stocked kitchen in the tipi with a mini-fridge, coffee maker, hot water maker, and fresh running water from a well that was drilled right on the property! The outdoor shower was perfect for a warm morning shower with no shortage of hot water.

The animals at the ranch are definitely some of the friendliest I have ever seen. The goats and pigs all come up to you for pets and if you are lucky, Sherbet the miniature pig will roll over to ask for a tummy rub.

We had a great time here and will definitely try to come back to stay in the tipi again!

This site was a perfect place for us to launch our San Diego trip from! The site was pretty private with the privacy partitions and there was plenty of room to set up our two person tent as well as a couple other tents if we had more people. The bathroom and pool facilities were kept super clean and the staff was great to talk with. The only complaint I have is the train that passed by at night. It woke us up a couple of times in the night, but it passed by pretty fast and we feel back to sleep pretty quickly. Would come back again in the future!
