Horse Lovers Camping
in Pura Vida Springs Ranch, CaliforniaThis is quite a unique place to camp. Lee is a friendly and generous host. The campsite itself is secluded and flat with an absolute beautiful view. The evening and early morning there were so lovely in the company of ravens, woodpeckers, quail, jays, rabbits, and of courseāthe horses! Thereās a great big oak to sleep and seek shade under, but itās still gonna be hot if youāre visiting during the summertime.
As mentioned in previous reviews, the drive up to the property needs to be greatly considered before committing to a stay here. My car, a Subaru Forrester AWD, definitely struggled and there were stretches on the property when I didnāt have enough clearance to get up a hill without scraping the underside of my car. Iām not sure Iād personally be up for the drive again.
All in all if you have the means and the will, this will be a cool and unusual place to camp.
