We are located about 11 miles from exit 116 on interstate 40 in the beautiful farming community of Chesterfield, Tennessee where there's an abundance of wildlife including our own team of Khaki Campbell guard ducks and a piebald whitetail buck named Lucky who enjoys hanging out by the levee. Lake access is included with each site reservation. Life jackets required at all times for those with paddle please. Canoe rentals available upon request. Camp sites 1-3, the boat ramp and main parking area are located at the main entrance and offer gravel roads and parking. Look for the LAL logo on the left gate post. Camp site #4 the hiking trailhead and our back country campsites are located at the east entrance. Look for patriotic fence post near the road. If you end up traveling a long paved road that leads to a boat ramp with lots of parking, you zigged when you should have zagged. Turn around and lazy acres is across from where that road ends. Follow the access road along the tree line down to the water. The hiking trail is to the east across the footbridge. Look for white AT style blazes for trail markers. The blue blazes leading to each campsite. * All gates are open 24 hours when campers are present.

Back country sites 5-12 are accessed at the east gate and across the footbridge to the trailhead. Look for white blaze marking the main trail and blue markers for the sites. The lake is stocked with copper-nose bluegill that absolutely ❤️ the crickets from Andersons Sporting Goods in nearby Lexington and 2 different species of largemouth bass. We have an abundance of wildlife including fox, turkey, raccoons, otters, occasional goose visits, a family of khaki Campbell ducks that reside at our floating cabin called The Waddle On Inn and a pie bald white tail buck named Lucky 🍀 who loves to graze on clover near the levee. The hiking trailhead is located at the east parking area and across the footbridge (follow signs from parking lot) and offers just under a mile of shaded hiking, biking, walking or running. Lake access is included with each campsite rental. Boat ramp is located at the main gate entrance to the right. All lake adventures are BYOB (bring your own boat), limited to human powered vessels only and life jackets at all times for ALL boaters. * We try to be available for the needs of our campers thru the hipcamp texting service. just text if you need anything. otherwise, we will respect your privacy so that you can get to being lazy as soon as possible. We truly hope you enjoy your stay. 🏕️. Brad & Nikki

Lazy Acres offers a serene camping experience with beautiful lake views and plenty of privacy. Brad, the host, is praised for his responsiveness and helpfulness, enhancing the overall positive experience. While some find the directions a bit tricky and note limited cell service, the peaceful setting and opportunity for activities like fishing and canoeing make it worthwhile. A few reviews mention the campsite being under construction and muddy conditions after rain, but most campers appreciate the natural beauty and tranquility.

Lazy acres is a beautiful and Brad is awesome. I was in the area working on a project and was in my overlander jeep. I did a search and found Brad after making a request through hip camp I got a message stating there was a spot available, actually had the whole place. I setup camp near the lake which was beautiful to me. I’m planning a return trip just to stay here again. I would highly recommend Thanks again Hipcamp and Brad

Fantastic place
Brad was absolutely great in communication and accommodating. The views were just as good or better than the posting shows. I will recommend this place to anyone in the area. Thanks Brad!

Due to weather, we had to leave. However, our arrival was lovely, the host was gracious and helped us find our way. Although we couldn’t stay to enjoy it, the spot was beautiful. What a great place to have a great time! We can’t wait to return and enjoy the lake!
