We are about 20 minutes away from the Appalachian Mountains and Blue Ridge Parkway. There are plenty of opportunities to go hiking on and around out property, Little River allows for paddling and floating, you can go swimming and enjoy the outdoors - there is truly something for everyone! There are farm animals on the property, and we encourage you to enjoy some farm fresh eggs from our chickens! The property is also a quick 10 minute trip into town - the musical and artistic Floyd, VA - where you can find a grocery store and some restaurants as well.  We hope you'll enjoy the peaceful setting, overlooking onto the creek, and our farm animals as much as we do! About the Listings: Creek View Cabin: The cabin has a cozy bed that sits in the lofted space (you will need to climb up a set of ladder steps to reach the bed), and a couch option on the ground level for sleeping accommodations. There is a unique cabin shower, a composting toilet, well and tap water available for campers, a wonderful Solo stove for you to build a fire and to cozy up near, and a picnic table for enjoying a bite to eat! A deck sits right outside the cabin that overlooks the creek, and will be private for you during your stay.  We welcome your pets, just please ensure they are on a leash since there are other farm animals on the property.  While the cabin is the only one on our property, and somewhat private, you may see the Hosts in passing on the farm.  Additional Details to Note: - Check in is after 4pm and check out by 10am - You can stay connected if you'd like to, as cell reception is available on our property. The cabin does not have wifi. Feel free to unplug during your stay though! - This spot is family friendly, so feel free to bring the kids and furry friends if you'd like! - Fires allowed only in the Solo stove Please feel free to reach out with any questions and we look forward to your stay! Spring Side Cabin: The goal of our cabin is to give guests an up-close view of life on a farm :). The cabin is on the edge of our active family farm, and directly beside the dairy goat barn. We have a small herd of miniature goats you are welcome to visit with - chances are, they'll reach their heads over the fence for a pet :). Our livestock dog lives with the goats, and you will hear her bark. (We provide ear plugs in case of night time barking). The goats love visitors, so please let us know if you want to take part in the farming, or just give treats :). We are also happy to have our guests take part in some of the farm activities. Bring your sense of adventure, but please do not book if you will be bothered by goat sounds, a dog barking or rooster crowing! We want you to be happy wherever you stay! The cabin has a driveway to the front door and is accessible by 3 stairs onto the porch. It's perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring and listening to the quiet sounds of the country. We have found that our guests are interested in having some local amenities available upon check-in. We love to make our guests comfortable, so have put together a variety of packages for you to select from upon confirmation of reservation. (If you'd like to see the packages ahead of time, please just send us a message here). There is NO SMOKING on the property, inside or outside. On the main level of the cabin, you will find a kitchenette (compact oven, microwave, coffee pot, refrigerator and sink), dining/living area, the bedroom and bathroom. There is also a loft with an additional full size bed, accessed by a sturdy ladder. Please note that the cabin is on the edge of the woods, and you may encounter wildlife while here :).

Reconnect with nature in our pet friendly rustic cabin on 35 wooded acres with two walking trails (Blue trail 3/4 mile loop and Yellow trail 1 mile loop), 5 acre meadow and large spring fed pond with bass, sunfish and trout. Enjoy walks, fishing, abundant wildlife and night star-gazing with virtually no light pollution. Cabin features great room with fireplace and wood stove, dining room, kitchen, downstairs bathroom, and two bedrooms. Downstairs you will find a bathroom, bedroom with a queen bed. Upstairs you’ll find one bedroom with a full bed and loft area with a twin bunk. It will sleep six comfortably, and linens are provided. Large back deck with gas grill and rocking chairs which overlook the meadow and it’s frequent furry and feathered visitors and mirrored pond. Bring marshmallows for the fire pit near the cabin. The cabin is at 2600 ft. elevation but still can be warmer in summer months. It cools down to the mid 60’s to low 70’s most summer nights so we don’t have AC there. We do have WiFi. Just five miles off the beautiful Blue Ridge Parkway and in the heart of the Blue Ridge Wine Region. We’re mid-way to the town of Floyd from Roanoke, and an easy 40 miles to Tech. Historically the “Eggleston Place, built by hand by one of the original families of the area. It was part of a large farm which was divided many years ago into 25-100 tracts. If you cherish the call of the outdoors, enjoyed in rustic comfort, you will love Gobbler Knob. Blacksburg, Virginia 1 hour, 37 miles. Christiansburg, Virginia 45 minutes, 29 miles. Roanoke, Virginia (downtown) 50 minutes, 23 miles. Roanoke, Virginia (Cave Spring Kroger) 33 minutes, 18 miles. Floyd, Virginia (Food Lion) 37 minutes, 24 miles. *Depending on which way you come in the last 3 ~ 4 miles are on state maintained gravel road. Your safety and comfort are important to us, so please take care when choosing your sleeping arrangements. There is one bathroom with a shower downstairs, located off the kitchen. A small washer dryer is also available. Please note, these can accommodate only small loads of laundry. You'll find bath towels and smaller towels specifically for drying off after a relaxing soak in the hot tub. We've stocked quality shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, as well as some basic toiletries in case a guest forgets to bring an item. In the living room, the 55" TV streams Netflix, Hulu or any app on the Roku TV (you will need your own log in). The internet is provided by Starlink and is high speed! The queen bedroom also has a Roku TV, and a selection of board games, cards, and some children's activities are available below the TV. Outdoor Amenities: Take a relaxing soak in the hot tub while watching the local wildlife in the meadow. Enjoy our spacious fire pit area, complete with Adirondack chairs with a grill grate—perfect for evening s'mores or grilling under the stars. The Vineyard is a beautiful campground in a fantastic location. The cabin was very nice and suited our needs perfectly, though we actually ended up staying Nextdoor to Seminole in the Carolina cabin. Greg was an excellent host who was responsive and very accommodating. A perfect option for someone looking for a cabin instead of a tent or RV site. We enjoyed our stay. Bedding was provided as well as a small charcoal grill for cooking.

We had a great time staying here for the weekend!! It had everything we needed and felt incredibly private while also not completely isolated. The host is very responsive to any questions and the location is great. We loved being able to use both a propane stove and fire, had portable chargers, comfortable sleeping arrangements and overall great!

Very private site near Hanging Rock State park. The cabin stayed cool during the day and warm at night. The bed was super comfortable and the site was setup with everything you'd need for a weekend camp trip! We enjoyed our trip!

Great location close to Hanging Rock, peaceful, nice basic kitchen set up. Trail onsite (which we plan to explore next time) Very cozy, host is very nice, went out of his way to make our stay wonderful ! The driveway is steep, my ford fiesta could not make it up the incline. I parked at the landing just at the bottom of the hill. Otherwise 11/10 we will definitely be back anytime we are in the area!!!

Quiet, well equipped little cabin. The fire pit, chairs, and picnic table were really nice. The portapotty was clean. I appreciated all the items available (hand/dish washing station, shower, cooler, grill, pots, dishes) since we of course forgot a few things. Secluded, but safe. The bed was very comfortable. Nicely cleared area, safe for my toddler to run around. Beautiful area. We will definitely be back.

I had an amazing time at the cabin. I would 100% come back to this location. My favorite thing about this location are all of the paths you’re able to explore. There’s a really nice little river on the property you should check out if you have time. I don’t have anything to say about this location but there are a lot of spider webs and frogs. I actually accidentally stepped on a big one after dark but he was fine. The owners came and changed out trash and they were very nice people. If you’re looking for a nice secluded area this is a great spot.

The cabin was fantastic. It was tucked back away giving you the feeling of being secluded which was exactly what we wanted. The outdoor shower was great for rinsing off. If you have charcoal you are good to go out there. They have almost every amenity; grill, campfire pit, fire wood, Adirondack chairs, and more. We loved it. It was perfectly located for us between Hanging Rock and Pilot Mountain. Will definitely book this place again!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Log Cabin on Virginia Farm, and I can't say enough good things about my experience! From the moment I arrived, Shirley, our host, made us feel right at home. Her warm welcome and thoughtful personal touches truly set the tone for a relaxing getaway. The cabin itself was exactly as described—cozy, clean, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The amenities were fantastic! We loved spending our afternoons by the pool, exploring the scenic walking trails, and enjoying some friendly competition on the ball courts. The fire pits were the perfect spot to unwind in the evenings, roasting marshmallows and sharing stories under the stars. Overall, this stay exceeded my expectations. If you're looking for a peaceful retreat with plenty of activities to enjoy, I highly recommend the Log Cabin on Virginia Farm. Thank you, Shirley, for being such a wonderful host! This was the most relaxing spot I think I have ever found. So quiet and peaceful. Comfy bed, easy to get to. And the biggest bonus was my dog could run off leash and found a friend with Silas! I can’t wait to come back .
