Come stay in our sweet semi off grid cabin just between Austin and Marble Falls Tx. Near beautiful Lake Travis.
There’s a short somewhat steep hike from the parking area by the road up to the cabin. Again the trail is steep and approximately 30 yards long. Keep this in mind because your belongings will have to be carried up the trail. If you have 4x4 you can drive up top closer to the cabin. This is a glamping experience and you will need sleeping pads, bags and pillows. We do not provide bedding. The cabin sleeps 4. 2 on the futon and 2 (preferably kids sized humans) up in the loft. There is electricity but no running water, so bring water. There a/c heat and a mini fridge/freezer. Also a sweet vintage hifi system with a good vinyl collection.
Turkey Bend recreation area on Lake Travis it’s just a couple of miles down the road. Marble Falls and Austin are both about the same distance away approximately 17 miles. Hidden Falls adventure Park is approximately 7 miles away. Lago Vista Texas is the closest city with restaurants and gas stations and grocery stores. This property is on a dirt road and light pollution in minimal so this is a great place to stargaze! The parking area is also dirt and somewhat uneven. Weekend Trip to Urban Hideout
What a peaceful, cozy, comfortable spot, with the kindest hosts. The cabin was perfectly appointed. I needed a place to rest and recharge and I got exactly that. The outdoor shower was the icing on the cake. Pretty much nothing better than being sheltered by a wise old oak tree as you wash off that road dirt. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to see the more peaceful and humane side of Austin!

Perfect hybrid camping spot where you can rough it without plumbing while enjoying a cozy indoor with electricity. Complete with a perfect campfire setup and gas grill if you choose. My boy and I actually pitched a tent on the deck, which was perfect!

What a wonderful property! We stayed in the Blue Loft Eco-cabin and loved it! Travis was super helpful with the instructions, accommodations and activities at Living Waters and nearby. Very friendly guests in neighboring lodges and peaceful river atmosphere. Can’t wait to go back!

Check in and out was very easy and simple. The bathhouse and showers were clean and taken care off. The cabin itself was clean and the mattress was so so comfy. After spending all day at ACL, that bed was like laying on a cloud.

Before I could get out of the truck to unlock the door, my husband is yelling from inside the fence, “Babe! I love this place!” And we hadn’t even stepped inside to see all of the thought and effort that was put into the cabin. They have everything you could possibly think of. The only thing not in the cabin is an oven, unless I absolutely missed it. Two loft queen size beds with the master bed being a king size. A shower indoor and outdoor. A desk workspace. Every space so well used up. The hot tub was soooooo nice with the out door games! My husband and I own a CPA Firm and needed the little two night getaway to simply relax! I highly recommend Eder’s Property for any future stays. It is family friendly, but it’s more on the romantic side and nice to walk around naked if you wish because the whole housing is private fenced. I know we will be back for certain! Joe and Misty

The Happy Horse Hotel had everything we could ask for; from the cozy cabin, clean horse pens, nice outhouses, and onsite trails, to the nearby attractions such as the McKinney Roughs Nature Park, the Bastrop Museum, and the various local shops. Great Fun!
Great swimming spot. It was nice to cool off in the water. The sun was intense. Lots of wildlife and it’s beautiful.

Good if you're not looking for a 'rustic' experience. You're butt-to-butt with other campgrounds and there's full electricity and water at every campsite, with a bathroom and showers not too far away.

I camped in campsite 16 over the past weekend. I am in love with this state park. There are so many activities to do including: rock climbing/ bouldering, fishing, swimming, hiking, animal watching, ranger events, and of course spending time with friends. This state park is perfect for people in Austin that just want to get out of the city and enjoy nature close by. The water is beautiful and there is so much cool wildlife to watch. The primitive sites are just off the water and next time I plan to try one of those sites. I also HIGHLY recommend going on any ranger activities. I went on a night hike and we found many cool things such as frogs and scorpions that glow in black light. Happy Camping!
