This drive is absolutely passable however is left bumpy to keep traffic at a safe speed as pedestrians also walk the drive. It is passable by any vehicle as long as the vehicle is not overloaded beyond its ability and/or has an extremely low profile. Any area that is not an actual campsite is left to nature, not manicured, trimmed or sculpted. As you’ll find all the sites are clear please don’t expect micromanaging of wild growth of our native plants in areas around the sites as we reserve those areas for the wildlife to enjoy. My brother and I built it from the ground up and did our best to replicate a 100+ year old mountain cabin. We do hope you enjoy the peace and quiet you'll get when staying at Keira's Kabin.Learn more about this land:If you want to get away from the hussle and bussle of today's busy schedule, this is the place.  Surrounded by woods, nature and lots of wildlife.  Keira's Kabin sits down in a very quiet area on the property along side a spring fed creek.   It's very easy to get to and can accomodate up to 4 people.  The bunk bed allows 1 person to sleep up top and 2 people to sleep on the bottom.  There's also a lounge chair that folds out that another person can sleep on. All the bedding is available at the cabin, but if you want to bring your sleeping bags, you are more than welcome to.  There are some eating utensils available as well as a variety of cooking tools (frying pan, tongs, spachulas, etc). You can choose to use the campfire to cook or you can use the propane camp stove if you choose.  We also have a hot dog and hamburger holder, popcorn maker, marshmellow spears and sandwich makers that are used for cooking over the campfire.  There is great cell service at the cabin but no wifi.  Other area services include, Kengo gas station near the entrance of the property and within 7-10 minutes you can be in town to get anything you need.  Please let us know if you have any questions and we will be more than happy to help!

The secured shelter is located atop the ridge on our property. The hiking trail is 0.46 miles long with an elevation gain of 328 feet. I can pack in your gear and provide transport for young children with my ATV. There is no electricity, but water and an outhouse are available. Inside, you’ll find a wood stove for cold weather and an outdoor fireplace on the porch. The shelter includes two indoor bunks with camping pads provided, along with two hammock hooks on the porch. The indoor space measures 10x10 feet, with a front porch of the same size. A fire ring with grill and some basic cookware are available—please bring your own utensils. A bear cable is on site for securing food (we do have one known bear in the area).

We stayed in a really cute, small barn-style space that clearly had a lot of handmade character and charm. You can tell a lot of it was built with a personal touch, which gives it a unique feel. That said, the ladder leading up to the loft was very petite and a bit difficult to use. Overall, it has potential and a lot of charm! We loved the plants and garden.

Weekend Trip to Meadowview Springs

We had an awesome time on our trip this past weekend. The temps dropped into the mid 20’s and we stayed nice and warm in our shelter. It was so well made and nicer than expected. All 4 of us were able to fit comfortably for 2 nights. The site itself sits right on a small pond and a short walk to the porta potty. This was the perfect spot for our little family adventure. The hosts were so wonderful to check in as we arrived and after the first really cold night so make sure we had enough fuel for the heater. Heater and battery were very appreciated even though we came prepared. Stores nearby if you forget something. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Weekend Trip to Grandview Camp @ Lemon Lane Farm

Had a great time at the cabin. We came in the off season on a rainy weekend that turned pretty cold, but overall it was a great stay. The cabin was very easy to find, had plenty of firewood (absolute must, no insulation) and secluded enough from the main part of the property to really provide that peace and quiet we were looking for. It could use a little tlc, but again, we came in the off season so it's hard to take any points off for that. Would absolutely stay here again.

This cabin sits in a beautiful area surrounded by old trees and a creek. The wood burning stove was nice to have when the temperature dropped at night. The games and art supplies in the cabin were an added surprise. I would stay again!

2 nights at Little Barn Cabin At Fowl Territory

I loved my experience at the little barn house! The cabin itself was very cute, and the atmosphere was peaceful for a solo trip to escape city life. Jon was fabulous and incredibly helpful when I was needing some support. It was fun to have some animals nearby too, though hunting season is real, so something to keep in mind. Overall I am super grateful for my experience and would recommend it for anyone looking for a little getaway.

Weekend Trip to Crystal Mountain Camping Shelter

It was exactly what I was looking for. I did 4 days alone. You park at the house and head up to the site on a dirt road made for a sidekick or off-road golf cart. The views were great, Noone out there but you and nature. Maynard was a gracious host and communicative. Otherwise he left me alone until check out when he came to pick me and my gear up and take me back to my car. A well built shack, something to be proud of, with enough room comfortably for two. Two that want to camp, but start with shelter vs a tent. Had a little woodburner inside with plenty of wood and two shelf beds. No water, but potted water for cleaning and whatnot. No electricity. The fire and a simple headlamp was all that was needed. The deck had an old cast iron woodburning stove, perfect for when you want to move from the firepit to the deck and chill with a fire or cook on. I cooked over the firepit though. It was the end of Oct. and fall setting in. Got a little chilly, but with the inside burner, it was cozy. It also had a shelf/sink deal on the outside, perfect for washing up, cleaning up and prepping food. A small and private outhouse style bathroom. Far enough away from the shack and it also had a great view. Lol My recommendations would be to ensure you bring enough drinking water. I took a 40pack of bottled water for one, for 4 days and it was enough. Hands down, I will definitely come back. Maybe this time with a friend.

Big Cove Campground

Rather than staying at the campgroud, we hiked 3mi to stay at the Bird Mountain campsite. The hike was mostly switch-backs! It was tough but awesome! There was a water source onsite but when we went, in October, it was small, so we ended up hiking back down to the campsite for water. If you want to use the water at the camp site, you will need a water filtration system :)
