The cabin is located on a rural road that is a five minute drive to downtown Onancock, which offers a coffee shop, several restaurants, bakery, shops, Saturday farmers’ market, and the harbor. Chincoteague and the famous ponies are 35 minutes north, and bougie Cape Charles is 40 minutes south. When you open the door to this 300’ gem, you will step back in time to a simpler way of life. This century-old building was moved to the site and has been brought back to life, preserving the original character, while adding the creature comforts we love of today. Soaring 12 foot ceilings provide a spacious air, and the original wood interior offer charm and patina that simply cannot be manufactured. In the past, it was a barber shop and then a poker joint. This place is a design nerd’s dream, a clever combination of old, new, and vintage pieces, handmade pottery and art, with close attention paid to each chosen piece. Lace curtains and blackout blinds cover all your light preferences for peaceful sleeping. The queen bed is a high end hybrid mattress with traditional coil base and memory foam top. A giant 55” TV is directly across from the bed for cozy streaming. The modern bathroom has a vintage wall sink found on site, and terrific water pressure from a rain shower head with instant, never ending Rinnai hot water. The kitchen has an ample antique sideboard as your sink, apartment size refrigerator, induction hot plate, coffee, microwave, and combo convection toaster oven/air fryer. The marble table seats two. A comfortable down-filled loveseat adds another lounge option. You will enjoy all the artistic touches around the room. Did I mention the front porch??? It’s the perfect spot for morning coffee, afternoon wine, and evening stargazing from rocking chairs with your boo. A pretty view of a wide field is across the street and will sooth your weary soul. What’s not to love about that?

This bank themed cabin is light and bright due to the beautiful stained glass, and transom windows that let in the perfect moonlight. You'll enjoy watching Herbie the Scottish Highland peacefully graze from your rear window. Since this bank has a lot of gold, you may want to sit in the front porch rocking chairs and keep an eye out for any bandits! (((((((While our bathhouse is still under construction, there is access to a FLUSHABLE portable potty, an outdoor sink, and an outdoor hot/cold shower. See pictures. Are there animals nearby? Yes! Cowtown is named after our unique Scottish Highland bull with one horn up and one down. You'll see “Herbie” peacefully grazing in a nearby pasture along with horses, goats, an alpaca, a sheep, a rare curly-haired pig, a peacock, and fancy top-hat chickens that all call the ranch home. 10. Participating in a guest activity is mandatory here. We have FREE indoor scavenger hunts and the FREE Name Challenge memory game. Our most popular experience is "Chores N' Tour” where you meet up with Shelley to feed and get up close and personal while feeding 20+ animals. Go ahead! take selfies with Fonzie the kissing alpaca, play the rollover challenge with Charlotte the pig, and hay the jumping goats. As a bonus, Shelley will also let you check out the inside of any unoccupied rentals on the property to plan your next trip! Chores N' tour is $10/ person. 1 hr. long. Also on-site, are Brush N' Bond horse grooming sessions, horse whispering lessons, and farm animal paint sessions. Once you book, send Shelley a message with your chosen ranch activity! 11. Do guests have access to the entire ranch? No, guests have access to the glampground, cornhole, and parking area here at the ranch. The rest of the property is reserved for our animal rescue (habitats) and fenced off for safety. Animals are easily viewed from all locations while the goats can be pet and fed anytime if you bring some baby carrots or string beans. 12. What sounds can I expect to hear? Expect to hear typical sounds of nature such as crickets, owls, and the crackling of a fire. In the morning, you'll hear our sweet goat trio, Charlotte the pig, and her excited "oinks" along with the occasional "moooo" and possibly a crow from the rooster and a "honk" from Petey our peacock who is ready for breakfast! 13. This tiny cabin was a lovely weekend get away! Onancock is a cute town to visit, and lots of ways to get beach/water access nearby. We really enjoyed having access to appliances for cooking too. Mona is an awesome and attentive host. We had a great visit!

Weekend Trip to Strawberry Crossroads

We visited the Strawberry Crossroads in early Nov to enjoy the fall foliage. We rented one of the small wooden cabins, which had 6 individual bunks with mats, a small fridge, a small table, a trash can, ceiling light and fan, and a cooler/heater. The land was beautiful with a lovely creek and a cute wooden bridge that crosses over it. We enjoyed the goats and chickens, and just the overall beautiful nature. The hosts were very responsive, kind, and relaxed. We had a great time and will recommend to friends/family.

Weekend Trip to Blufin Bungalows and Marina

The floating bungalows were great. We really enjoyed it. The children loved it sleeping on the water. It was calm so we hardly thought about it that we were on the water. Only problem,we arrived late and the code did not work for the lock. It took an hour for someone to respond to texts and give us a code for the key lock box. They had problems with internet because of a storm earlier is why the code didn't work for the lock. They should have given a code for the lock box right of way if they knew there were problems with the lock.

Mona's cabin was everything we hoped it would be - and more! The land is gorgeous and the cabin was even more inviting than the photos. Mona was very pleasant and responsive. We wish we booked longer and will absolutely be back!

Camp site was easily accessible. Staff was accommodating for my late night arrival and helped get me into the cabin after a long day. There was a nice stack of firewood outside of the cabin. I didn’t use it because of wet weather and limited time at the site, but it was a welcome surprise. Inside has 6 bunks. I doubled up on mattresses since I was solo. Inside has a small refrigerator and remote controlled air conditioner, both worked well and AC helped ensure a solid nigts’s sleep. Inside flooring is carpeted and also has a small table and chair. Communication was timely and efficient. Bathhouse is about a 5 minute walk. Showers were clean, well maintained and had nice hot water. Would recommend if you’re looking for a quick accessible cabin near Ocean City.

Second year in a row staying here. Cabin was clean and had just what we needed to be comfortable for the weekend. Bathrooms had nice showers. The goats did sleep on our front porch and stalked us all morning Saturday, so that was an unexpected fun touch! Would definitely come back, and most likely will!

4 nights at Jail Cell- Glamping Experience!

The location is dreamy. It’s just minutes from Ocean City’s beaches, but the real magic is in the “jail cell” concept. The host nailed the theme without sacrificing comfort. The cell’s interior felt like a playful prison set, but with real amenities: a comfy queen bed, climate control (heat/AC), mini fridge, and even a smart TV stocked with apps and movies. Check-in was smooth (4–9 pm), and the host’s communication was prompt and friendly. They clearly thought through every detail — from the iron bars and faux cell door to the clever décor touches that made you smile. There’s no early check-in or late checkout, but that’s a small tradeoff given how unique the stay is. The surrounding grounds feel peaceful and private, adding just the right contrast to the playful “prison” interior. You’re close enough to town for restaurants, the beach, and shopping, but far enough to enjoy quiet evenings and starry skies.

We stayed here on our honeymoon. It was absolutely perfect! The cabin was very clean and felt like home. The little town was beautiful and such a nice atmosphere. Mona went above and beyond to ensure our honeymoon was perfect. Would absolutely recommend her and her cabin.

Great place to stay. Nice cabins,awesome host. Really enjoyed the goats. Cabins are always clean and they face the pond so camp fires by the water doesn't get any better. We stay here every time week come to ocean city. Will be back in October

We highly recommend staying at the Rustic Little Cabin. It’s so peaceful and cozy as well as clean. The kitchen has everything one needs and the bathroom is pretty with a great shower. We ll definitely go back one day.

This place is perfect getaway; I love how the cabins are by the water and it's quiet and peaceful. It’s also close to a convenient store and there’s Parkers Produce and Seafood nearby. Close 24-minute drive to Ocean City and Assateague which makes it more convenient. Definitely going to return to this place.

what a charming campgrounds! The cabins are simple but very cozy! We had a queen mattress in our cabin (6) and it was surprisingly comfy! The bathhouse is a little bit of a trek but well appointed. The most delightful part of our stay was Cotton, the extremely friendly and adorable white goat, who nibbled sweetly on our hands and hopped up on our camp table causing a hilarious cascade of things falling and our group doubled over laughing. He is a real highlight of our stay. We’ll definitely be back!

Amazing facilities - clean, well-lit, and warm water in the sinks and showers (free, not coin-op). Lots of horses wandering around, so make sure to not leave any food out. Plenty of beautiful beach expanses to relax and wander, and there's some great kayaking in the area. Booking weekends are tough if you don't plan in advance!

Assateague Campground

What's better than beach camping with wild horses?!? This review is for the Assateague Island STATE park as there is a big difference ... bath houses with warm showers! The park and facilities are well maintained and always clean. Great breezes off of the water make beach camping tolerable as there is no shade to be found anywhere, so be prepared to bring canopys to hide from the relentless sun. There is 1 loop that has electricity but, I've been camping here for years and have never been able to score a campsite with electricity (its nearly impossible). Must book early (like a year in advance) if you want to camp as it is a highly visited park. The park rangers host daily events that are family friendly and educational.
