As the days heat up, the river begins to slow and warms up to a comfortable yet refreshing temperature. New beaches emerge, just waiting to be explored. In late summer, early fall, there is a feeling of calm. The river slows significantly but still feels amazing to sit in. You can hear its gentle flow and soothing sound as it trickles over the rocks. This is a great time time to explore the river as it is mostly shallow with some swim holes. Most of the time it is very quiet. There is another camp down stream owned by a wonderful family. They are here a couple times per week, and also rent their camp. You may hear them having fun and engaging in target practice. The river is a shared space but it is rare to see anyone else. Noise travels in the canyon so you may hear occasional barking or other vehicles. Hearing coyotes sing at night is very common. The rarely seen wildlife includes rattle snakes, bob cats, coyotes, fox, mountain lions and bears. Don't worry, our animal friends like to keep their distance. Hope to see you soon! The RV has all the amenities you will need and is located near Yosemite, Kings, and Sequoia National Parks. Take in the views of the Sierra Mountain Range on the horizon above our pasture. This was my second time staying at Delilah Ridge Winery, and me and my partner love stopping here so much! It’s a lovely stop for us when driving from SoCal to Sacramento, and is very close to Kings Canyon/Sequoia NPs. Such a beautiful spot!

Weekend Trip to WILDER BUNGALOW n/Yosemite!

We loved camping at Lisa’s tiny home!! Everything was seamless — keyless entry, quick & easy communication with the host, amenities provided and clean, all set up for us. It felt so close to nature while still being an upgraded experience. They gave us firewood and fire starters for the chimenea, the tub was so easy to use, and the kitchen was well stocked for a tiny home. They even had a whole DVD binder. 10/10 would recommend this experience!! We will be back!

Camp Ikigai is amazing! I booked the birdhouse cabin and have no complaints. The outdoor shower was my favorite especially using it during the night! It has hot water and soap. I think there was a meteor shower because we saw about 20 shooting stars in like an hour. The camp has such an amazing view of the night sky, i havent seen that many stars in so long. In the morning we were able to sit outside and watch the horses. It was very peaceful, I will definitely be visiting again

Weekend Trip to Willow Belle Ranch

What a lovely, quiet, serene piece of the world! You feel the nature around you. I recommend taking a walk down to the creek. Britany was very kind and welcoming, the camper is simple and clean (just what I was going for). Plenty of firewood and friendly animals to greet you. And the stars (lucky it was clear) were absolutely incredible. Highly recommended!

3 nights at Hidden Falls Yosemite Camp

We had a great time at Wendy & Hudson’s cabin. The view of the waterfall from the deck was one of our favorite parts. In close second were the sunset views over the boulder. I had been looking for something that was secluded and private, and we got just that!! Parking down the driveway can be a bit tricky and getting down to the shower/bathroom is a bit aways, but all in all it was absolutely worth it! We came near the new moon and got to enjoy the stars each night, which was quite a treat. It’s about 1.5 hour drive from the center of Yosemite, but there are also lots of nature spots to checkout nearby too. I’d definitely recommend Wild Fig in Coarsegold for brunch or lunch and Clouds Rest Coffee in Oakhurst. A special shoutout to Wendy who was an incredible host and just an all around lovely person. We’d definitely come back here and I’d love to camp at the second site on their property!

Weekend Trip to Sequoia Highland Camp

We had a blast at yurt 17 and are already looking at dates to come back! Our only regret was that we did not stay longer. The yurt is equipped with staple amenities including a kettle and fridge. It has power and to our surprise WiFi. We stayed in mid October and I do wish we would have brought a couple extra blankets as it was pretty chilly even though there seemed to be a heater in the yurt. The yurt has plenty of privacy and we felt like we had the whole camp to ourselves. The communal bath house was very clean and several bathroom stalls and showers which made it really nice to be able to get in and out. The stargazing area was also amazing! We saw the milkyway and several constellations! Definitely make time for this!

What a delight! Our experience at Sierra Highland Camp was nothing short of wonderful, we wish we’d been able to stay longer. We booked an overnight in a yurt; such a comfortable stay complete with cooking gear, BBQ, and heater. The make your own bed set up was clear and easy. The bathroom blocks were great, updated, spacious, and clean. This is a great location to explore the surrounding National Forest, Kings Canyon, and Sequoia NPs. We look forward to returning and spending more time.
