Low Meadow Farms (formerly Brown Bike Farms) is a serene four-acre meadow bordered by Burnett Creek. The campground is an easy distance to Downtown Knoxville and an even easier access to all that South Knox's Urban Wilderness has to offer. It uniquely offers a hint of backcountry camping without the 25-mile hike in. It is a great way to test the waters for primitive camping or an easy stop close to the city for a seasoned traveler. It is best suited for car camping, RVs, tent, and hammock camping.
There are fire pits and picnic tables at each site with enough room for tents and RVs. Most sites have trees suitable for hammock camping all along the creek.
There is potable water, firewood for sale, solar showers, and a bike wash stand all next to the covered communal area.
Each standard site can accommodate 2 people to keep space between groups and lessen the impact on the land. Sites 10 and 13 can each accommodate 6 guests. If you have more in your group, we recommend reserving an adjoining campsite.
Sites 1, 2 and 3 are off the main path to the left of the property, and still by the creek. Sites 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 are all along the creek and gravel drive Site 10 is very private with creek access on three sides. Site 11 is private with creek access all along the front. Site 12 is up high on a hill, and Site 13 is open in the middle of the meadow.

This is the perfect peaceful getaway near great outdoor activities and some of the best that North Carolina has to offer!
3Feather Sanctuary is surrounded by beautiful, stately trees and has a creek meandering through it. The closest town is Hot Springs, which is 20 minutes away and the Hot Springs are a definite must-see if that peaks your interest! The town itself is also pretty cool. There are some good shops, restaurants & our favorite hardware store!! Downtown Marshall is also close, about 25 minutes and has a lot to offer! Gr8 restaurants, thrifting and cute shops along the river.
Our property is about an hour away from the Blue Ridge Parkway, and the adorable city of Asheville - which makes for a fantastic day trip with delicious restaurants, breweries, cool shops, and more! The Great Smokey Mountains and Deep Creek are about 1.5 hours away from the campsite. The Appalachian Trail is closeby and there are countless opportunities for stunning hikes. There's also kayaking, tubing, white water rafting opportunities as well as zip lining and horseback riding. There is something for everyone to enjoy and we can't wait to share it with you!
Full disclosure:
We have a camera pointed at the entrance and one at the bath house door, which we can move around to make sure that when people check in they make it to the right spot since I manage remotely part of the year. We have regular yard maintenance, however, we are Country natural landscape, not parking lot type campground, so the grass is slightly higher in some small areas but truly those things are part of a sustainable and uniquely beautiful camping experience!

Our location is phenomenal we are an hour from Knoxville and Asheville and just about 1/4 mile off I-40. Right at the foothills of the Smoky Mountains and 35 minutes from Gatlinburg about 40 minutes to Pigeon Forge (Dollywood), also about 45 minutes to Sevierville and one of my favorite Tanger Outlets!! The beautiful Smoky Mountains the National Park is filled with hiking trails and horse stables and trails. Some of the best white water rafting is less then 5 miles up the road along with zip lining and a lil taste of moonshine here and there.
This property is primitive with no electric and has a camping style bathhouse. IT’s recommended for outdoor lovers and people that are not too needy. Hurricane Helene brought unforecasted changes in the land but the tranquility of the River remains. We have worked to restore as much as we could. As for us it’s still our happy place in the Smoky Mountains!

My parents bought the 120 acre property in the 1960s. I started clearing and building the campsite in 2019.
Watch the sun rise on one side of Troublesome Gap and watch it set on the other side. There is a circle drive for 2 teardrop / squaredrop or pop up campers and plenty of spots to pitch tents. There are also great spots to hang your hammock.
Camp where my family camps. My parents bought the property in the 1960s and we have camped up here, hiked, hunted, and cut firewood many weekends. We decided to share the property so you can enjoy camping up here too!
The property is in a remote location where you can enjoy the wildlife and the cooler temps in the summer. You'll have 3 acres all to yourself. The closest grocery store is an hour away but the Trust General Store with a restaurant and gas approximately is 7 miles away. There is also a burger joint (Dave's 209) on the way to the Trust General Store.
This camping site is in a remote area and the nearest neighbor about 1/2 mile away. Max Patch is about 25 minutes away and features beautiful hiking.
The quaint town of Marshall is about 30 minutes away. Asheville is about an hour away.
The campsite is easily accessible from Baltimore Branch Road. However Baltimore Brand Road (public road) is steep in places and we don't recommend an RV bigger than a popup camper. If you are pulling a trailer you'll really want to consider having 4wd. If you aren't used to driving on steep dirt mountain roads, you may want to bring your 4wd vehicle.
If you have a 2wd vehicle, then you'll want to come to the site via Big Pine Road. This route will take you through Walnut, NC
We also provide a porta-a-john for your convenience.
This is a campsite where have the whole 3.5 acre property to yourself. You are surrounded by properties that vary from 40 acres to over a hundred acres. We just want you to have a great time and bring home great stories. It seems like every visitor to Troublesome Gap has a great story. Come camp with us and build your own story.
Important Note: Water is only available on the site from Memorial Day through Labor Day, Otherwise you'll need to bring your own water.
There is a camera on the property. It faces the gate (and away from the campsite).

Our site is located just an hour from Gatlinburg, TN, and Pigeon Forge, TN - two popular tourist destinations known for their theme parks, attractions, and shopping. You're also just an hour away from Asheville, NC, a vibrant city known for its arts, music, and culinary scene. And if you're looking for a more low-key experience, Hot Springs, NC is just 45 minutes away, offering natural hot springs, charming shops, and restaurants.
Our RV site is the perfect basecamp for your next adventure in the mountains. You'll have access to all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay, including electric and water hookups, and ample space for parking. And when you're ready to relax after a long day of exploring, you can kick back and enjoy the stunning views from your RV or around the campfire.

Note: Bear Cove is a premium secluded cove offering plentiful shade and quiet. Pappas Peak is a secluded hilltop and will not accommodate trailers due to the turning radius on the hilltop. Bear Lane offers easy access in what we call the canyon, most suited for cars.

Green Creek features gorgeous lakefront land with pristine views over the lake and foothills of the Smokies. We have up to 3 campsites, each with electric and water hookups. The campsites share private lake frontage with a short trail down to the lakeshore. We have our own boat launch that our guests are welcome to use at no extra charge- just coordinate with us . Our place is very quiet, but full of natural beauty and wildlife!

Welcome to Green Creek! We are just minutes from I-40, Smoky Mountains National Park, Dollywood, and Gatlinburg on the shores of majestic Douglas Lake! Pull in and RELAX on our beautiful park-like property. Our campsites are flat and nestled on a QUIET gentle hillside just a few steps from the seasonal lake shore complete with gorgeous mountain views. In Spring, Summer, and Fall, you are welcome to use our boat launch and tie up to our dock! A canoe and 2 kayaks are available for time on the water. Boat Rentals and jet ski rentals are available at local marinas. If you are bringing your own boat, there is plenty of room to park your trailer on our property, and you can tie up in the cove in front of your campsite and private firepit area. Whether you are looking for a quiet place to park overnight, or want to set up for a week of fun in the Smokies- we are perfect for fishermen, couples and families. Gas and Grocery Shopping are close by, and great restaurants are only minutes away in historic downtown Sevierville. Our home is located nearby on the property, but privacy is always respected! Quiet hours after 10 pm! *****Douglas Lake levels are regulated by the Tennessee Valley Authority. In winter our water levels are often down 40 feet. During winter close lake access and our Boat Launch is not always available. Public Launches are available nearby year round.

My late husband and myself bought the property in 1983 and it was all just overgrown land!We worked, cleared, built horse shelters/barns, cabins, cut trails, built the outdoor chapel for our wedding and of course fenced it all in for the horses! Started sharing with guests in 1993, so we have met so many amazing folks from all over the world! Pass thru our gate into another world and leave all your worries and tensions behind. We are all about getting back to what is real -- nature, animals/horses and each other. Complete privacy!There are many mountain trails leaving right from our property! Lots to explore. You can even hike to the outdoor chapel with the pretty view of the Chilhowee Mountain range. It is a short hike to the barn area for those who want to spend time rubbing the pot belly pigs' tummy, walk the mini horses, groom the love bug~Junebug (donkey), pet horses, cuddle with bunnies and feed chickens! Every morning and night we set a time for all those who want to become involved with the care/feeding of petting animals and horses!

I had a great stay in the camper. The bed is comfortable and the AC was great to have after a day of hiking in summer. The hill top location is beautiful and peaceful. This is also a good location for people interested in astronomy. I will definitely be returning.

Weekend Trip to Honeysuckle Springs Smoky Mountains
Absolutely a 10/10. I loved the set up and the view from our campsite! Everything was clean and tidy! Tent was nice and cozy for the night with the fire pit out front. Trail right beside our campsite was quite steep, even steeper coming down the opposite side but all fun in the adventure! Would totally stay at Honeysuckle Springs in the future.

This place is delightful. Wide open grassy spaces for dogs and kids to run, and the river at the back of the property provides the perfect setting for a quiet morning coffee or an afternoon cool down. We were lucky enough to have the place to ourselves which meant lots of quiet river time. Spots were level and the place was clean! Do come prepared to pack out your trash however

I loved the campground and the hosts were the nicest people! The area is large and even though there were other families near me, I didn’t feel that they were too close and I still felt that I had privacy. Will definitely be booking again!

We have a two year old
Son and this location was great! Having the potty close was amazing and the camping space was pretty and quiet. It’s a small campground with a central grassy area in the middle of most of the sites. The kids were running and playing there and had a safe space to play. There was no concern about cars or anything our son bikes and played ball. The host family is friendly and they even sell some ice bags on site for convenience. The only thing to know is the showers are cold. Which is nice on a hot date but in the evenings before bed when it was cooler it was a bit much. Very minor and for us camping with a shower at all is a luxury but just useful to know if you’re planning on that. We were there 5 nights.

We LOVED it. Just needed to pop our tent up for the night. Brian answered my request within minutes!! We got there a little late about 9pm. Brain greated us on his golf cart as soon as we pulled in! Very nice man and his campspot is perfect. We packed up and left in the am! Portable water a plus!! Thank you!

This was my second booking at this property. I absolutely love it! So much that I have already booked a third time. Phil and Co. were wonderful hosts.
The shower, kitchen area, and porta potty were all clean and functional. Hot water on demand is a perfect set-up. I took advantage of the mini fridge when I ran out of ice and didn't have to drive to town in order to purchase more. Dry, split firewood on-site was also a nice bonus.
My dog and I took advantage of the creek daily. Much to my delight, I found no broken glass anywhere in the creek. There is an abundance of wildflowers, edible and medicinal plants, and a nice variety of wildlife. I even saw a couple of turkey hens and at least a dozen chicks pass by my site and fly over the creek. When the lights go off at night, the space is filled with synchronistic lightening bugs, aka "fireflies." Some of the more rare and elusive blue ones made an appearance as well.
This was also a great area to work on reactivity training with my rescue dog. The open field provided a wonderful space for walks and practicing emotional regulation. She even got to play with another dog. There are chickens next to this site and she decided they were hers to protect and enjoyed watching them.
Above all, I felt safe here. As a solo woman camper, this was extremely important, and one of the main reasons for multiple bookings. Not once did I feel like I needed to "cover up" for my own safety. The energy here is so gentle and healing.

Quiet, peaceful, perfect blend of rustic camping with a few comforts of home. Made it through several rainy nights and the tent held up wonderfully! Bathrooms and showers were always clean. Purchasing firewood and extras was quick and easy. Campsite was secluded and private. Close to main attractions, groceries, gas, etc., while still feeling separate from all the tourist areas. Loved listening to the creek and wildlife at night, seeing fireflies, and enjoying the peaceful surroundings. Having some storage areas inside, a comfortable bed, and wifi were added bonuses and made it easier for those traveling in. Would highly recommend.
