30 years ago this was a pay lake it has been shut down for years. I got it a few years ago for a family getaway. So there is some really nice fish in the lakes. Staying at this site was truly one of the most if not THE most relaxing bnb experiences I’ve had. I thought it would be a bit further back on the property but it is still just perfect. Everything was so cozy, the temperature control inside is perfect and that porch is to die for!! The couch and bed inside too is so comfy. You can tell the work this couple put into the renovations and upkeep here to keep it gorgeous and serene. The price nightly couldn’t be better either so this will definitely be my go to stay when I come out to Louisville! It’s about 30 minutes from most things so it was just the perfect “outside the city” stay❤️

I cat say enough about how awesome this place was and what an incredible value for the price! Chuck and Van were gracious and kind hosts and we enjoyed getting to know them while we were there too! The photos don’t do this place justice. The kitchen had everything we needed, the bathroooms were immaculate. Our kids loved fishing, playing with the dogs and exploring. Also Jeffrey’s cliff hike is a MUST!

This is a wonderful little spot to stay. I was here for 2 nights but it would work very as a long term stay. The trailer is set up expectionally well. It is easy to access and incredibly comfortable. Sitting on the deck you feel as if you are out in a swett valley but you are only 15 minutes from some great restaurants, hiking trails and parks. 25 minutes gets you to just about any place else in Louisville. I recommend the outdoor shower under the banana trees. Shelby does a wonderful job as a host and is very accommodating. I will definitely be back here.

The stay was really nice! We enjoyed the fire in the evening and went in to the tent as the night went on. After it got cold enough, we used the gas heater and it was more than enough to keep us warm. The potable water is limited, so if you need lots (cooking, cleaning) be sure to bring it in. It was extremely private and lovely, but it looks like there may be a new cabin being built at the top of a very nearby hill which would make the place much less private. We prefer solo private spots, so we might need to check on this for future stays.
