Site#1 has Full Hook Up - Running water, sewage RV Hookup of 30amp and 50amp electricity, for $45. Site#2 and Site#3 are side by side. They have running water and priced at $25. each. These two Sites are better for tents or a small trailer. A personal generator may be used but only during certain hours. These are lovely spots with shade trees, so pretty. There are lots of mature Juniper trees and some Pine trees that provide shade on the property. Often we experience a lovely breeze. We live a mile off of 260 on a rugged dirt road. We keep the Entrance Gate locked for safety and security.
We are located on 2 acres and have a garden and a green house where we grow a large variety of vegetables. We only accept trailers and fifth wheels of 21 feet or less on site #2 and #3. There is a Chicken House and a rooster and we have plenty of farm fresh eggs that are available to purchase.
0ur home is tucked away 1 mile off the 260 Hwy. on a rugged dirt road. First you will drive pass the Linden Valley Arena before reaching our property. The Arena was designed for ropers by ropers and is open from May thru September.
10-15 minute drive away is Fool Hollow lake, Show Low City Park, Safeway Grocery Store, Post Office, Library, and a variety of restaurants. Within that distance there is Boating, Fishing, Hiking, Picnic Areas, Large Dog Park, well equipped Playground area, Basketball Courts, Baseball fields, Sand Volley Ball, Tennis Courts, Racquet Ball Court, Horseshoe Pits, Disc Golf, Outdoor Exercise Stations, Walking Trail, Pavilions, Restrooms all the while enjoying the enormous, plentiful Ponderosa Pines. Show Low City Park Aquatic Center has 6 lane 25-yard pool with an adjoining leisure pool featuring zero-depth entry, Spray Fountain, Water Slide, Indoor Spa.
Show Low was named by the turn of a Card. A ranch of nearly 100,000 acres jointly owned by Marion Clark and Croydon Cooley a U.S. army scout. According to legend, sometime around 1876, the partners decided that there was not enough room for both of them
and one of them should leave. They decided to settle this issue over a game of "Seven Up" (with the winner taking the ranch and the loser leaving.) After the game seemed to have no winner in sight the game reached it's climax when
Clark said, "If you can show low, you win." At this point
Cooley turned up the deuce of clubs, and declared "Show Low" it is! Show Low
is a city in Navajo County, Arizona
among the lush green ponderosa pine forestland and along Arizona's Mogollon Rim at an elevation of 6,345 feet. Show Low is now the largest city in the White Mountains of northeastern Arizona. Show Low is also the business hub and marketing center of the area.

Welcome to the edge of the high desert.
Set at the very end of a quiet dirt road, this 230-acre private property offers rare access to vast open space, dramatic canyon views, and true solitude. Located about 30 minutes off pavement, the drive in is part of the experience. A medium-clearance vehicle is recommended, though high-clearance 4x4 is not required. The final mile becomes a bit rough at a few spots that cross sandstone, but there are no major obstacles for a standard truck or SUV. Off-road or higher-clearance travel trailers are welcome, provided they are not excessively long or low to the ground.
The land itself is expansive and immersive. With over a mile of Chevelon Creek forming the southern boundary, the property drops into a massive canyon with 300-foot cliffs, sweeping views, and a sense of scale that feels more like a national park than private land. Advanced rock climbers have quietly begun establishing rappel routes and sport climbs into the canyon. While climbing access is informal and at your own discretion, the remoteness and openness of the area has long made it a haven for experienced adventurers.
To the north, the property borders a large stretch of BLM land, offering endless room to explore, hike, and roam without crowds. Despite the size and openness, the land feels remarkably private. There are no neighbors in sight, no traffic, and no noise beyond wind, birds, and the canyon below.

At 6000ft elevation the air is much cleaner and the weather is much cooler, especially in the summer time! We have plenty of space. A well house to fill up your water. There are also outdoor bathrooms, no shower yet, but working on that! We're just a short seven minute drive to the dump station at a local gas station down the road on the Deuce of Clubs and Penrod. We are 14 minutes from a large hospital, 10 minutes from major grocery stores, shopping and restaurants, and many other fun activities. Our location is in a perfect spot to enjoy the blue sky and great weather. Sunrise Ski area is a quick drive too! Pinetop Lakeside are within 10 minutes, Taylor and Snowflake are within 15 to 25 minutes. We hope you visit and continue to keep our environment clean and a chill spot to visit. Great space and when I pulled in the neighbor even offered to let me use his well to fill up my water! Just stayed for the night but the canyon is near by and is really cool. Would stay again if I’m passing through!

Loved her place! She was very nice and has a great setup. It's somewhat remote so it's nice and quiet and the stars were great. The dirt road in was no issue at all though, definitely recommend for a nice getaway and the area is great. Went to the Petrified Forest nearby. Highly recommended :)

We have a TAB 320s boondock trailer and couldn’t wait to get out “away from it all.” Well, Paula’s campsites are just that!! The site was pretty much level, free of clutter, has a porta-pot on site, a fire ring, and if requested, firewood. The area also has a small canyon/creek, a small natural arch, and interesting rock formations as you drive in. The roads are a bit rough but worth it being 21 miles outside of Winslow, AZ.
Thanks Paula for a great camping spot. We will definitely stay again!!!!

We stayed in January and there were no other campers (very cold weather). The place is nice and spread out, bathrooms are celan have space heaters, brewery looked great, nice scenery, and the hosts were accomodating to a later checkout needed due to a day-trip fishing. I would stay here again. The dog noises were minimal.

Ash Creek is a unicorn for remote camping on the edge of the Tonto National Forest. Andrew and his son offered us a tour of the canyon and we got to see all the views and learn about the history of the mining operations. The campsite we chose was flat and clean and the clearing was surrounded but trees and steep cliffs. With no light pollution, the night sky looked amazing and the sound of the creek created a nice ambience. We brought our own firewood but there were plenty of loose branches if you prefer to forage. I wish we had booked for more time here, because there is a lot to see and do, including hikes and mine exploration. I had no issues driving around in my Subaru Outback but would recommend reaching out about road conditions beforehand since some of the paths can be narrow or washed out. I don’t get to camp often but hope to be a repeat customer at Ash Canyon.

This place is a gem. Nani is very welcoming, the land and stars are beautiful, and her "treehouse" was available and cozy on a cold night. The main road driving in is well-graded dirt/clay. Just watch out for cows. Don't be in any rush, chat with Nani, learn about the place and respect the spot 🫶 Can't wait to come back in the future :)

We had the BEST time camping at Ash Creek Canyon. It’s truly hard for me to find words or sum up our trip in a short paragraph. To put it simply, it feels like we only saw the tip of the iceberg as far as exploration goes in Chrysotile. We cannot wait to go back and learn and explore some more. Our stay was magical. Andy was a top-notch host, super accommodating with speedy correspondence, and truly just a pleasure to be around. His enthusiasm, love and awe for this land shined bright. He showed us around all of the land reachable via side-by-side and gave us a grand tour on the history of the abandoned mining town. There is so much to uncover there. Not only was the history fascinating, but the scenery was BEAUTIFUL… truly enchanting. We camped at site #2, Waterfall Pasture. We were perfectly secluded from other campers and felt like we had the whole area to ourselves.. which was great as we were camping with our two young daughters and three dogs (a rather loud bunch). We couldn’t have asked for a better weekend getaway, and cannot wait to come back. THANK YOU ANDY!

Gravel road to get there. 2.8 miles of it. Once there it was a wide open space. I ordered firewood. So glad I did. We had a guitar jam by the fire that was epic. Really felt the backroad of America vibe. We stayed 2 nights. 🎈

Beautiful views, peaceful, felt remote. A little ragged navigating the dirt roads in after dark; DEFINATELY recommend DAYLIGHT for this! Communication with Paula was easy, and everything was exactly "as advertised."

Loved this secluded canyon! Met Andrew by the highway, which was already way out there, then followed him on his quad in my 21' class-B van for 3 or 4 miles to campsite #2. Dislodged my low hanging generator on the rough road, but I knew it was a risk. Well worth it. This property had absolutely no noise or light pollution. It was an old mining town with several old mines still open to explore. I had an unforgettable few days secluded on this property. Zero cellular coverage with Verizon and Wi-Fi wasn't on while I was there. I thoroughly enjoyed my unplugged time. I will definitely be returning.

The campground is clean and the sites are spacious, but there are no enforced time restrictions on campers running generators. It is situated near the road, so you will hear early morning and late-night traffic. Also, we were there during monsoon season, and after a heavy rain, many discovered their tent sites were graded so that water pooled and puddled under the tent sites! Many had to move tents and some slept in their cars. Super amiable camp host and close to hiking and boating. Half of these sites are bookable in advance through recreation.gov

The sites are spacious- although, it was uncrowded during our stay. The host was personable and helpful and the sites were clean and well-maintained, with a nice mixture of sun and shade. The campground is close to the rim trail and Woods Canyon Lake and we enjoyed our stay. However, many tent sites have been cleared in a way so that if there is substantial rainfall, several inches of rain will collect underneath your tent! We were there during monsoon season and many tent campers needed to move their tents after a significant storm, and some campers spent the night in their vehicle. There is a road running alongside the campground and you will hear cars and trucks on the road from time to time, including late at night and early morning.

Get there early and find a spot on the edge of the canyon. Stay to the left on the dirt road.

Much quieter than woods canyon but not on lake. There is a small general store at woods canyon about 10 mins away.

Never camped here but spent so much of my life hiking this area. If you haven't gone, go. Go in fall when the leaves are changing. The spring is gorgeous, but gets pretty windy. There are tons of trails in this area and all are beautiful
